There are few things in life better than coffee and chocolate. To pimp my chocolate for my Instagram photo I sprinkled some sea salt on top and OMG so good! How have I lived 30 years and never tried this before? I've heard of putting salt in your hot chocolate but never as "seasoning" on a piece of dark chocolate. My eyes are opened!

Today I started and finished one of my many ideas I've written down but never seem to get done. I'm trying in general to be better at writing thoughts and ideas down before I forget about them. I saw a similar calendar on pinterest a couple of weeks back and thought "I can do that!" and so I did. I used photoshop and Helvetica Neue and my rusty old printer. I love the result and it goes with the aesthetic of my kitchen. Might get a clipboard to go under it though. Also, don't you love it when you have all the necessary items to o a DIY project at home?! This took me less than 30 minutes. x. Linda.

So when I get an idea in my head I can't wait to start it. On Wednesday I bought some paint for this exposed brick wall and started painting. To be honest it was a lot more work than I had expected. The wall and the grout is not very even and I had to tap a small brush in every corner which took forever. But I'm very happy with the result. I might however go over it again with a third coat of paint since the white I chose is "chalk" white which has a light grey tone to it and it might look a tiny bit better with the same white as my window and tiles. Or not... we'll see. Here's the final result.

I also went for a quick IKEA run yesterday to buy this rug for my kitchen which I've had my eye on it for awhile. I'm in love with the texture and the color looks amazing together with my grey floor, the white table and chairs (all IKEA). Now I just need two large B/W prints for my brick wall. I might print & frame some of my photos from London and Paris. Let me know what you think of the result. x. Linda

Bleh I woke up with a cold this morning. My nose is running like an open tap and I think I've used up a whole toilet roll just this morning. But other than that I feel alright.. I've just been out running some errands. Anyway, the first thing I've done every morning this week (after my breakfast) is to go out with my two babies (cats) in the garden. The weather has been lovely this week (!) - it's been sunny but not too hot. And the cats love going outside and chasing flies, birds (haven't caught any tho) and what not. I used to have them both on a leash but now they walk around free (under my supervision of course).

The garden is so beautiful this time of year - everything is in full bloom. The woman who looks after our communal garden does an amazing job. She has created a 1920's theme garden with lots of different flowers and bushes with everything from lavender, 4-5 different types of roses, peonies, hydrangeas, apple & cherry trees to beds of strawberries, rhubarbs and tomatoes. I just love spending time there. Next week we are planning to paint the fence and put in some kind of pergola which I think will make the garden even more magical.

With that I wish you all a lovely weekend. Hope the sun is here to stay for a while. x. Linda

I have thought about painting the exposed brick wall in my kitchen for years but for some reason never gotten around to it. Then we went to this amazing greek restaurant Halloumi in Glasgow two weeks ago and I got so inspired and I haven't gotten the idea out of my head so now I'm planning to do some painting this month. Maybe already this weekend! I also want to put up some shelves for glasses or more cacti.

Location: Wilson Street, Glasgow, Scotland

The Wilson St Pantry

Came here for the instagramable interior, stayed for the delicious avocado toast.

This place ticks all the boxes for a great café experince. It has beautiful interior, good location and very friendly staff. They serve wonderful food and coffee at a fair price! I highly recommend the avocado on sourdough bread with a side of poached eggs or the avocado smoked salmon on toast. Also love the mix of guests - from old men and women to young families and students to hipsters and tourists.
