Man i LOVE my job! I work as a horsetrainer at a Ranch here in Texas, they have about 42 horses, a lot of goats, donkeys, cats, dogs and all kinds of birds. Most of the horses has not been handled or ridden in a very long time. I decided they needed to be worked more, so on Monday i worked my favorite, Hansel the thoroughbred, in the roundpen for a while, then i tried to saddle her up, and she did not mind at all; bridle, saddle - she was a champ. Today i took her out for her first ride around the property, for a horse that hasn't been ridden in 8 years, she was GREAT! She walked around the entire property, without any bucking, rearing or taking off in panick. We also worked Gus the paint in the roundpen for a while today. Soon we will begin working the youngsters, they have never been handled and most of them are assholes.

Also, my husband got promoted yesterday! He is now a Warrant officer 2, i am so proud of him.

Meet Lilly! This sweet girl showed up at the dog shelter i was volunteering at in Alabama. Someone had abandoned here in the woods and she followed some trail riders. I immediately fell in love with her sweet face and loving ways. She was such a good girl, it took a month for me to convince Mitch to adopt her, but we finally did and man am I happy we did! She is so happy, all the time. Her favorite thing is to boop the cat with her nose and eat cat poop. She is such a sweetheart.

Meet Dino! This is our purebred Great Dane puppy, he is 8 months old and the biggest goofball in the world. He is scared of everything and his favorite things is to sit his butt on the couch and watch TV, chew up my makeup/underwear/everything and chase the cat. He is enormous but such a good boy.

We got married in beautiful Destin, Florida on August 20th, 2016. Man, that place is made of rainbows, ponies and cotton candy; GORGEOUS! At the time, we only lived about 2 hrs from Destin. My family flew down from Norway, and we rented a beautiful beach condo for a week before the wedding, we hung out at the beach and had some long needed family time. We got married at a beach called Eglin beach, it was HOT, but such a beautiful day. I am so glad my mom, my dad and my sister could come celebrate the big day with us. After the ceremony, we relocated back to the hotel and had an after party. I couldn't be happier, i married the man of my dreams, and i look forward to many many happy years as a family.

So, we have been living in America for about 7 months, crazy how time flies! We started out by living in a small townhouse in Enterprise, Alabama, because my husband went to pilot school. In October 2016, we bought a house and moved to Texas, because my husband got stationed with the Army here, and let me just tell you one thing; it is a thousand times better than living in Alabama. We LOVE our house, Noah loves his school and the dogs loves a big backyard to run around in. We own a big house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in a quiet, nice neighbourhood , best part about living here is that we can see Noahs school from our front door, it takes him 5 minutes to walk to school, which is awesome.

I finally got a job, even though i am not even making minimum wage, i get to do what i love, and get out of the house. I work at a Ranch, with over 40 horses, an army of goats, donkeys, birds, cats and dogs. It was a big adjustment going from making around $19 an hr in Norway, to not even making $7.25 here in America, but i guess it is what it is , and its an extra income, which is nice. Life has been pretty busy after i started working, i leave for work at 7;15 every morning, after dropping Noah off at shool, then i go home for lunch at 12 to let the dogs out, back to work at 12;45, then work until 3 before i have to rush home in time for Noah to get out of school at 3;15, then i make dinner, clean the house and whatever time is left ( usually no time....) i spend on the couch.

This blog will contain a bit of everything; life in america, horses, kids, family life and other stuff, i am usually really bad at blogging, but i figured this was a nice way to keep my friends and family in Norway updated!
