Here´s some of my favorite beauty tips & products I wanna share with you guys!
1. Routines & high-quality skin products
Since I´m not a big fan of make up, neither a big consumer of it either, my skin routines are my priority number one when it comes to making myself feel comfy and beautiful. What I mostly focus on and consider the most important is to find the right products for your skin type, keep up the daily skin routines (morning as night), and to make sure to buy good quality skin products that are (even better) recommended by a dermatologist.
Right now I use products from the brand Bioline, serie "primaluce" and they work perfectly for my type of skin. Even if these kinds of products often are more expensive, I prefer paying a bit more than usual to be sure to get products that really works the best for me.
Other tips & routines:
- If you ever feel that you wakes up with a pluffy or swollen face, bath it in cold water to calm it down.
- Treat yourself with a good face mask every ones in a while.
- Before you apply your cleansing gel, make sure that the water you wash your face with is warm, it helps your skin open up the pores and allows the gel to give a more deeply and effective cleansing of your skin. Then finish with washing it of with cold water to close the pores again, it prevent dirt from entering your skin.
2. Hyderate, hyderate hyderate
Well well, this one I'm sure you´ve heard of many times before! But drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated increases a lot of good features for both your skin and body. I always try to start my mornings with a big glas of hot lemon squeezed water. Then I try to keep in mind to drink as much as possible through the day and in the evening I finish with drinking a big glas of ice water before I go to bed.
1 cup hot lemon squeezed water
1/2 glas cold water
1/2 glas hot water
1/2 a fresh squeezed lemon
This gives you a detoxing and refreshing effect. You could also add some pieces of ginger to strengthen your immune system or to prevent an upcoming cold, etc.
3. Hair care
To keep my hair healthy and growing I always massage a fingerlid of moroccanoil onto the tips of my towel dry hair after my showers. It helps protecting and repairing my hair and gives it an lil extra treatment. I also only use pharaben & sulfate-free shampoo and conditioners since those substances are not only damaging to your hair, but also have been proven to be bad for your own health. Therefor I only use Kevin Murphys products (especially "angel wash") that products are totally free from these bad substances and are instead, only gentle towards your hair + not tested on animals.
4. Treat your lips
If you ever got dry lips, mix brown sugar and honey and scrub them with. It helps stimulate the blood flow, peel of the dead skin from your lips and also leaves them with a pluming effect. Then I always treat my lips with Tromborgs organic lip balm that only consist of natural ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera and orange oil. I really love this lip balm and I always carry it with me, so I really do recommend this one for you guys.
5. Wear clothes you feel confident & comfortable in
Always wear clothes you feel comfortable and confident in. Beauty do really comes from the inside, but if you happen to feel uncomfortable with what your wearing on the outside, it will defently show. So skip the part of you wearing clothes that someone else thinks looks good on you or wear clothes that is not you just to impress others. Always chose clothes that tells who you are and don't follow trend just because, wear clothes that are YOU!
