Bonsoir!

Yesterday night I arrived in Pariiss, and the plan is to stay here for around 3 weeks for the haute couture shows and also to rebuild my portfolio since I completely changed my look from long - to short hair with bangs a few months ago.

I´m really excited to be in Paris since it´s my absolutely favorite city! I just loovee everything about it, the beautiful architecture, the atmosphere, the language and all the romantic and beautiful things to see around here. It´s just impossible not to like Paris and I´m so glad to finally be back working here!

Today I went to meet my new agency Metropolitan Management, and everyone seems really nice and I got a very good first impression, I really like them all already! Later this afternoon I had some casting and then after that the agency called me back to the office to do some polaroids and a walking video for the upcoming shows.

Now I just finally came back to the model apartment for changing to some other clothes for the agency dinner that takes place tonight.

So I should probably get going and make myself ready. See you later!

Today I´ve been home for 2 weeks and I´m so happy to be back home and spending time with all friends and family! My 2,5 months in Tokyo has been amazing but there has also been a lot of up´s and downs through the stay. .The most certain thing I think about is my grandfather, that I stood very close to, passed away 3 days after I first arrived to Tokyo. Even though I went back to Sweden for a few days to attend his funeral, it´s still a chock for me to come back home to Malmo to realize that he´s really gone. Me and my grandfather had a very special bond that I know is not even worth explaining to others. He was like a father to me, and him, my mom and grandmother was, and are the most important people in my life, so he will always be missed.

Even though I know I could write a hole novel about him and how much he meant to me, I feel like this is all I need to say here..

Besides that, my stay Tokyo was really nice and I meet so many amazing people and got to experience so much new things that I otherwise wouldn't, so for that I'm very grateful for!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and holidays, and that the new year 2017 will start out great for you all!

I decided that from now on I´ll only write my blog posts in english since I think it´s a easier way of expressing myself through my travels and also because I think it takes to much time and energy for me to first write a post in swedish and then translate everything into english!

Today has been a really lazy day, I had the chance to have the whole day off from both castings and jobs (which I´ll tell you doesn't happen too often her in Japan). They usually cast around 1 week ahead the actual job date, and I leave in exactly one week, so there is not that many castings for me to do right now.

This morning I´ve been looking around trying to find alternative hotels to book for a weekend in Copenhagen for me and my boyfriend Oliver around Christmas. I absolutely love everything about Copenhagen, so a weekend full of shopping, fine dining, and just have the chance to spend some time together there is the perfect Christmas gift for both of us right now since we haven't been able to see each other for 2,5 months!! Later this afternoon I went to do some Christmas shopping in Shibuya and successfully found exactly what I was looking for!

Right now it´s 1 a.m in Tokyo, and I just arrived back home to the apartment. I called Oliver and we eventually decided which hotel we will stay at in Cph. I booked the last room there was for the dates we wanted, so now I'm really happy and I can't wait to come home and enjoy everything!

Tomorrow there will be a Christmas party hosted by the agency, and I actually just found out that I´ll have a casting early tomorrow so I should really try to get some sleep now!

See you later,

Sayonara!

Hi!

For those who doesn't already know this I´m in Tokyo right now for work under contract with my agency Bravo Models for a period of 10 weeks. Today I got exactly 1 month left here before I´ll travel back home to Sweden, which means that more than half of the time already passed, and I can finally start counting the days until I'm back home. Yey!

The last two days have been pretty up and down here.. It has gone from 21 degrees hot the day before yesterday - to minus 2 degrees and snow today, and it also occurred an earthquake early Tuesday morning that I have to tell you more about.

So I woke up at 6 in the morning from experiencing that the bed was shaking under me. At first I thought I was dreaming, but a few seconds later the shakings got stronger and stronger and when I finally stood up I could feel that the whole house was rocking under my feet. Short there after I could here the girl I live with, screaming from her room upstairs and then she came rushing down to my room. We sat there for around 1 minute until the earthquake finally decreased. I lived in Japan for over a month now so I´m quite use to the smaller earthquakes. They often occur here a few times a week, but this earthquake was something totally different. I noticed that because I´m usually extremely difficult to wake up.

Short after the earthquake, me and my friend started researching on the internet trying to found out more. At first we did´t find anything, but a few minutes later the event was all over the news feed and we found out that the quake measured up to 7.3 on the Richter scale! Therefor we tried to stay awake to keep ourself updated about any potential warnings, and like we suspected, 20 minutes later it was sent out a tsunami-warning in a number of areas. One of the warnings was in Greater Tokyo. At first, I feel like I was about to panic, but then we saw that we was 30 minutes away from the actuall evacuation border zone, and we could both breath out.

Thankfully everything turned out well, the expected tsunamiwaves didn't go as high as they thought they would get, and no one got injured from the events. Even though, it was pretty scary because it turned out that this earthquake was an aftershock of the serious nuclear accident that took place in Fukushima 2011. But as mentioned everything went well and we later decided to go back to sleep!

Hi and welcome to my blog!

My name is Tea Melin, I´m 19 years old and come from Malmo, Sweden. This year I graduated from high school and I now work as a full-time model with my agency Scoop Models in Copenhagen. In this blog you will have the chance to follow me and my work around the world, but also take part of my other interest beyond traveling, such as, fashion, clothes, design and photography. These five things gonna be the things I will focus around and give my own expression about in my blog.

Why did I start a blog?

I actually came up with the idea 1 year ago but I never went through with it then because of the lack of time and also the thought that it would be uncomfortable and a bit egocentric to write about myself. Today I´ve realized that it of course doesn´t have to be that, instead this blog is mostly for me since I travel a lot on my own and this would be my own space to reflect, but also to have the chance to share and hopefully inspire others along the way through my travels and experiences. Win win I guess!

I want to make sure that this blog is going to be my kind of refuge, where I will be able to express what I feel and will feel free to be myself, so I hope that will be respected!
