The flower dress I wore on my birthday has proven to be the most perfect piece for almost every occasion. One can wear it during an evening out, a day on the beach while still wearing a swimsuit under and also for a casual stroll in town. A quick change from ballerinas to high heels transforms this ruffle dream to a completely different dress. Talking about versatility in a pretty package ! It also happens to have all the key elements for this season: ruffles, blue and a blooming pattern.

This post is dedicated to reminiscing the most wonderful weekend and to my precious friends. I am extremely lucky to have such kind, understanding, funny and encouraging people around me who are always there no matter the distance between us. On Friday we had the absolute privilege to see the Danish Girl by Gerda Wegener exhibition and also gorgeous pieces by Chanel, Dior and Balmain owned my Marianne Bernadotte in Millesgården with my dear friend Lari and her family. In order to balance this cultural day we decided to play Mario Kart afterwards (I am the worst player ever).

Saturday I spent strolling around Stockholm while talking to my best friend Maija whom I have known for 21 years (all my life). She is the one I can talk about absolutely everything and we have such a same way of thinking one could almost call that telepathic connection. Once again I had the best time discussing everything under the sun. There is always that kind of clarity in my mind after talking with her. She always gives the best advice and I cannot wait to see her this Friday.

Sunday started early on since my darling Tiina and I had planned a photo session under the pink cloud currently on display in Kungsträdgården. Yes, I am talking about the beautiful cherry trees in all their full bloom and glory. We had an absolute blast (as always) laughing, taking photos (we have the best tactics) and afterwards having a brunch at Crème with dear Caroline. In addition, our girl squad had earned some Sunday shopping after having three exams last week and Zara delivered as it always does.

Later in the evening it was tea time for me and Tiina at my place and besides civilised sipping and analysing the photos, we had a magnificent rapping session with all the best Finnish hits. All I can say that our skills are absolutely legendary and an international career in rapping is basically a done deal. Maybe we should start thinking of a name for our ensemble?

A big hug to all my friends out there and thank you for being you.

Love,

-Fanny

P.S. A special thank you to the staff of MAX Kungsträdgården for letting me change my outfit in the bathroom despite the fact that you had not even opened yet.

P.P.S. A little sneak peak of the outfit photos included.

My most trustworthy chinos make a comeback with another (blue what else?) shirt. This shirt with radical cuts and a modern finish with the most beautiful open sleeves was a find from Zara once again. It is almost like a sculpture itself and really stands out from the crowd. Quite a challenge to put it on to be honest but it truly is worth the struggle.

Greetings from rainy Stockholm ! A true back to reality post straight out of a pleasant evening course of francophonie. Dreaming of palm trees and clearer waters while looking out of the window and seeing the grey weather. Still, one must learn to dance in the rain or at least know not to throw one's winter coats in the attic just yet.

Back in Antibes I combined two pieces with completely different patterns: a ruffly flower shirt and my favourite pair of chinos with little umbrellas. One might think that I went a bit overboard with this outfit since there is quite a lot going on but I think that simple accessories and the dark blue base in both pieces have that necessary calming effect.

The New York Fashion Week's Spring 2017 showed us that femininity, and pieces out of an English garden with lightness and flow are a true hit. Brands like Tibi and Leyla Rose all celebrated the up and coming warmth with flower bombs found in patterns and most fascinating cuts. As well as the blooming bouquets, shades of blue all the way from the palest to the richest turquoise are having a feast this season. To note one particular designer, Michael Kors united the two trends exceptionally well. I do agree that one should never forge that little splash of blue !

I adore combining different patterns and colours; hence, my favourite pieces of clothing always have some kind of a fun pattern or a surprising detail. While paying an unplanned visit to a little boutique in the centre of Antibes after a day at the beach, my mother found the most perfect pair of star patterned black jeans and I spotted this chic white top with little clocks on and a cute bow. The miniature sleeves are in the form of ruffles which bring that inch of the baroque trend that has been in ever since last spring. The combination of white and yellow is crisp and as a bonus it reminds me of crocuses and all the other precious spring flowers. I am also quite certain that the brown pair of loafers seen in the last picture has some kind of magical powers since they fit perfectly no matter how long a walk in the heat.

I wish you all beautiful Easter holidays, enjoy the time with family, relatives or friends and do not forget to have at least one Easter egg !

Almost every morning here begins with a run around the port followed by a swim in the ocean and of course a (very) big breakfast. Speaking of swimming here comes the sequel to the cool, easy and possible to have a swimsuit under outfits ! I happened to walk by a Mango boutique in Lisbon last summer and this flower dream caught my eye immediately. In addition it was also on sale and if that is not a sign for a green light to marching to the nearest cash register I do not know what is.

Here the dress is featured on the beach and also in the beautiful port Vauban in Antibes. My family has visited the French Riviera frequently ever since my early childhood. We all adore this place and I could easily imagine myself living here permanently in the future after completing my studies in Stockholm. That said I cannot wait for the exchange next fall ! The sea, sun and the possibility to travel around with such ease form quite a perfect combination.

Yesterday we celebrated the birthday of the most loving, kind and beautiful person I know: my darling mother. It was a picture perfect journée filled with good food, laughter and celebration. The best days are just about being together without any hassle and doing whatever pleases the most..

À tout à l'heure !

Bonsoir !

I want to start by sending all my love and courage to Stockholm and especially to those families affected by the terror attack. Devastated and shocked by the events I want to emphasise once more that evil will never win since no amount of horrors will tear the unity of bravery and kindness apart. I am truly grateful and lucky to know that all my dear friends are safe and sound.

I am writing this post from the gorgeous French Riviera where I have been staying with my family for the past week. At the moment I am observing all the magnificent sailing boats and yachts as they arrive or set sails somewhere near or far. It is fun to imagine all the adventures and stories they have had or are about to experience. There is still that warm breeze coming from the sea and a little blackbird chirping in the palm tree. Another perfect day in this paradise is coming to an end. I adore the sea, swimming in the waves, the sun and the Mediterranean cuisine with all the fresh seafood, fish and especially mussels. The other day our waiter's face was worth seeing when he realised that I had just eaten a very large bowl of moules (and a starter of course) but still asked him what was today's dessert.

I really love the little black jumpsuit I am wearing. One can just throw it on and even have a swimsuit under it in case of a beach too brilliant to resist while strolling and experiencing the Côte d'Azur.I have also realised a long time ago but the French unequivocally have that je-ne-sais-quoi when it comes to dressing. Streets are filled with flowy summer dresses and chic outfits with just a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Everything fits perfectly and without even trying. Maybe they will share their secret with me while living here next fall ?

Bien à vous !

The task of looking for the perfect pair of blue jeans, a basic white t-shirt or that life changing little black dress might sound easier than it actually is. The search for the basics can be quite a drag and a true mission impossible (Tom Cruise knows nothing) and usually the most perfect items appear when one least expects. Therefore my strong proposition is to stock those sublime t-shirts in every colour possible since one never knows if they will make a reoccurence during this lifetime.

The black polo shirt belongs to this category of wardrobe staples. I found "the one" at H&M last fall while on an impromptu stroll in the city. It fits like a glove and it is such a great piece with a skirt, jeans or with fancier trousers and heels in order to transform the outfit for an evening out. Versatility at its best !

This polo has saved me from numerous clothing crises hence, I have had it with me during all my travels ever since I bought it. The bit chilly but always charming Copenhagen during my quick visit in November was the perfect occasion to feature the polo in an all black ensemble. One can never go wrong with classics.

Would not it be brilliant to have NSYNC, high ponytails and those classic 90's dance moves (Electric Slide and the Hammer included) back even if it was just for one day or night ? Well, I had the absolute priviledge of going back in time and attending my dear friend's 90's theme party and let me just say that one could almost feel the Backstreet Boys' presence.

In the midst of scrunchies and mom jeans there was no problem to have that right 90's attitude nor find an outfit since the decade has made a serious comeback when it comes to the fashion industry.Girls from Clueless would be proud (as if !).The tracksuit can be found at H&M including the fetch sunglasses. The Royal Tenenbaums were indeed back in business !

Macarena on fellas !

...about sun. Spring has apparently been cancelled at least here in Stockholm but what can one do !

The faux fur collar I am wearing is at least 6 years old and it has saved me countless times from the cold Scandinavian winter days.. The warm theme continues with the over-the-knee boots from &Other Stories which are super chic but also offer some much needed warmth for my legs.

The pair of leather gloves also seen in the picture below is one of my absolute favorites. Henri Bendel really knows how to make both functional and extremely beautiful gloves with unique details. Gloves are a must here in the North so why not buy a pretty pair ?

Have a lovely weekend !
