Lewis Capaldi is so young yet he really knows what pain sounds like. His broken voice will make you think of James Arthur's, yet his lyrics really make him particular. He mostly sings about heartbreak and the pain you get from loving someone so deeply and then loosing that person. Relatable, huh ? He released his debut EP "Bloom" and you need to listen to it. His music puts you in a bubble, which I love. Needless to say you shouldn't listen to him if you want to feel good ahaha. He makes it so easy to share his emotions through his beautifully broken and powerful voice, and that's what makes him an artist to watch. He says he's been very inspired by Paolo Nutini and Kings Of Leon growing up, and his music is mostly inspired by earlier artists such as Elvis or Queen. I suggest you read his interview with Baeble blog, if you want to know a little bit more about him. Enjoy !!

When it comes to Bollywood music it's so vast it basically reunites songs in many different languages ! Most Indian music come from the movie industry which is why it's often called "Bollywood music". This country really hosts some of the most beautiful voices in the world, according to my tastes at least ! The cool thing is that you don't necessarily need to understand the songs to enjoy them, just because the voices of the singers stand out so much! The Hindi language is the most used in songs but you can also come across some Urdu, Panjabi or Tamil (sometimes Pashto), and let me tell you, they all have their own poetry to them !

You might have the image of super colourful music videos, people singing and dancing everywhere, at any occasion, when it comes to Bollywood or related music, but you are missing on sooo much if you don't listen to the ballads and sad songs (my favorite kind) !

From Atif Aslam's powerful and very technical voice (first video) to Arijit Singh's soulful and heart-warming voice (second video) and so so much more incredible voices, to such beautiful melodies, you will for sure, get hit in your feels.

Often about love, sometimes politically engaged, always very poetic, Indian music is definitely a musical style you have to discover ASAP. Enjoy !!

Some female voices for the pleasure of your ears ;)

You want to find new music? I've got your back ! YouTube has been my best friend when it came to finding new music, there are so many channels you can suscribe to in order to discover new music ( you can subscribe to COLORS or VEVO DSCVR, Vevo artists to watch, for example, or you can subscribe to your favorite youtubers that regularly post Playlists videos, I always look out for any Nathalie Munoz's playlists, she makes me discover a lot of latino songs, for instance. )

You have other options such as the discovery playlists on Spotify or on Apple Music. I'm so grateful for all the new songs Spotify made me discover ahaha.

You can also subscribe to dance channels on YouTube, they always make you discover new songs and more importantly, discovering a song with a choreography changes a lot in the way you listen to the song. Believe me, dance videos made me like songs that I wouldn't have listen to otherwise, ever !

Overall, music is just about sharing so by talking to people around you, your friends and all, you might discover many new songs, ( and it's also a great and easy way to bond ;)

"All we want is joy" isn't that true? Leven Kali praises positivity in a politically engaged song embracing some "feel good" vibes. I love that he adresses very serious issues in this song, over such a funky and joyful beat. You can definitely hear the Pharell Williams or Anderson Paak influence, mixed up with some very old school beats (and those bass sounds I live for!!). Wether you listen to "Joy" or "Smile" his message is all about positivity, which I'm all about. Honestly I can’t wait to listen to him live!! Enjoy his very uplifting songs guys!

Anyone who knows me knows that this man is perfection in my eyes !! But don't worry I'm only biased by his talent (not by his ravishing smile). He also began his carrer by posting covers on Youtube, first with his sisters and then by himself. Armed with his production keyboard, in his parents living-room, he offers us amazing mashups for the pleasure of our ears. He made a lot of noise with his cover of Drake's One Dance that he mixed up with Nicki Jam's Hasta El Amanecer. His YouTube channel is full of amazing covers and collabs (from Conord Maynard to William Singe), that you need to listen to. His voice is perfect in every sense of the way, from his kick-ass high notes, to his beautiful harmonies, and let's not forget his perfect vocal control, I could honestly listen to him all day long (and trust me, I heard him live, acoustic and acapella, and he was right in front of me!) He just dropped the music video for his latest single "One at a time" ft T-Pain, and that's a reason for you guys to go check his three other fire singles ! You'll thank me later, enjoy guys !

My guuurl !! She started by making covers on YouTube and soon made her own music and I couldn't be happier ! She says she's hugely inspired by TLC and old school R'n'B. She describes her musical style as soul, R'n'B, pop, organic and hippie inspired. Her biggest musical influences are Brandy, Justin Timberlake, Kehlani and John Mayer, which makes sense when you listen to her songs. She's got that honey-like voice you need in your life ! Listen to her live and I promise you'll be shook. You want a technical singer ? She got the vibrato on point. You want a smooth voice ? She got the smoothest. You want emotion ? She got that too. So quit waiting and listen to her beautiful voice, enjoy !!

You hear that ? I really didn't lie to you :)

Who said Korea only delivered Kpop ? DEAN comes and sweet talks to you with his smooth voice paired up with R'n'B sounds. His song Love featuring Syd has to be my favorite, I love the very jazzy sound he offers, on top of which his voice fits perfectly. Can we also talk about the aesthetic of his music videos please ?! See for yourself and enjoy !

Guys !! If you didn't know Sal Houdini, you're welcome... I was so mad at myself for not discovering him sooner. He might give you major Drake vibes but listen closely and you will notice his unique smooth and soulful voice on top of very upbeat sounds. He's a mix between new R'n'B sounds, old school sounds and African (the continent, so from the north or the south of Africa) beats; listen to "I'll be OK" for example and you will get Ne-Yo vibes mixed with arabic-inspired sounds (from his album Phantom). Btw, his latest album Heartbreak will get you through some tough times for sure !! Enjoy xx

Hey everyone ! So I thought I'd share, as the first artist of this blog, one of my favorite trap rapper out there, that brings some fresh air to the style with his bilingual lyrics. Mix a little bit of English and Spanish rhymes, trap beats, a slight accent (perfectly aligned teeth) and a joint in one hand, and you get Kidd Keo. He says he's mostly influenced by US rappers such as Future and Tory Lanez but also by French rappers such as Kaaris or Joke (his favorite rapper), if you want to get to know him a little better I suggest you read his interview with Tuc Magazine. Btw after listening to his latest album Old Times In Gotham, you're gonna regret not listening to him before, enjoy !!

So I finally decided to make this blog so that we can share music all together. I will keep you posted every time a new song from my favorite artists drops, every time I discover a new sound, a new voice, a new musical world. I'm very excited to see what you guys think of my discoveries (and of my tastes basically lol).

I like to think that I am very eclectic even though, I have to admit, I have my preferences when it comes to music styles. I will connect more with R'n'B sounds rather than classical music for example, but hey, we never know I might share some classical sounds here !

I also really want to celebrate talents from all around the world so I'll have a section for some of my favorite covers ( don't be shy if you got a voice worth hearing guys, send me an email !!)

Anyways, can't wait to get to it, and guys please follow me on my Insta page for some more content : Somusicc !
