I have lived in Bonn for around 15 years. I went here to kindergarde, primery school and secondary school, until I graduatet this Year in June. Bonn has some really nice and pretty places and is, compared to Cologne a quite small city. If you are visiting Bonn, you have to check out not only the city itsekf, but also the nature and forests in the direct surroundings. Therefor, you should definately go for a walk in the 'Kottenforst' and walk through the'Annerberger Feld' and maybe eat at the 'Waldau'. At the 'Waldau' you can also have a look at wild pigs and differend type of deers. You can combine this trip with the best icecream in the whole town. The cafe 'Eiscafe Bianchi' lies at the border of the Kottenforst in Friesdorf and is worth a visit. In the centre in Bonn lies the 'Bonner Muenster' a catholic church, which looks fabulous from the outside, but I have to admite, that I have never been in there. If you visit during April, you can have a look at the 'Kirschbluetenfest'. Its a street, where only Cherrytrees were planted and which flower around April- beautiful! If you are searching for a good BBQ place, just grab your food, your grill and your friends and go to one of the nice shores of the Rheine in the 'Rheinaue'. You can also go for a nice run along the Rhein from the centre of Bonn, crossing the river on the 'Konrad-Adenauer-Bruecke' and going back on the other riverside. Only an half an hour drive away lies the 'Siebengebierge' with the 'Drachenfels', the Petersberg and others which should be on your bucket list for Bonn. If you like hiking and are staying longer or are living in the area, it is a must, to go hiking in the 'Eifel'. I would recommend to go in the spring or fall, as the nature is (in my opinion) the most beautiful at these times of the year.

And what can be better to end the day with a good dinner and a few drinks? 'Tacos' near the Beethoven house is the best place where's I've been so far for good food. It's my go to restaurant in Bonn for an evening with my friends. The drinks there are pretty good as well, but they can't top 'Take Two'. So if you are searching for a good place to eat: 'Tacos' an der a good place to have a few drinks: 'Take Two'.

You can find some pretty good and mostky smaller shops in the laterals or you stick with the 'Kurfuerstendamm' ('KuDamm') or the 'Friedrichstrasse' where you can find anything and everything.
Another good place to find everything your heart craves for are the 'hackischen Höfe'. As soon as you have found your system and way you'll be able to find everything there.
But again in my opinion shopping in Berlin is like shopping in every other city, except that you have a souvenir you maybe wear every day or week.

If you are looking for a sertain style, you will find it in Berlin. As my friend and I stayed in Berlin for just a weekend one time, we decided to go out and have a bruch after a long night out. I have to admit, that probably almost every cafe in Berlin is good in their own way, so you have to decide, what style you want. Do you want a nice little cafe, which has a good breakfast menue, then you should maybe have a look at 'Bluebery Coffees' in Wilmersdorf near the Bahnhof Zoo. Or are you looking for a small, homelike and cute looking Cafe where you can get jummy pancakes, then you should cisite 'A never ending love story' in Charlottenburg. If you are searching for something french for breackfast you should visite 'Dinette' in Friedrichshein. The list of good cafes and breakfast places is endless so I would recommend to have a walk in the morning and chose on the spur of the moment.

Same goes for lunch an der dinner. You can stick with your go to food or just experience something new, which can be good as well believe me (I was sticking to my go to food until I startet traveling).

If you are a person like me, who loves to go out with some friends and have a good party, but also love to stay at home and watch a good movie, go to a cinema or the theatres, you are definately not the only one in Berlin. Again: Berlin offers things for everyone. If you are looking for a club, where you can listen to the charts and dance body on body with your friends (or if you lose them- strangers) you should check out the E4 near the Potzdamer Platz. But be warned: The guests there are usually (of course it depends on the event) pretty young. The opposite thing is for example the 'Maxxim' where the music is mixed and the people are on average older (my definition of younger: 16 up to 25; older: 30 up to no age limit). If you are looking for some good clubs for the night, check berlinclubs.com.
If you are staying for maybe a few nights and don't have a plan for one of them of the weather in the evening is rainy and cold, than you should have a look at plays in the Grips theatre or a look at the movies for the night in the movie theatre 'Zoo Palast'.

Another City which never sleeps. If you visit Berlin once, you will not be able to see all the beautiful places it has to offer. Not even twice is enough. I have been in Berline so many tmes, I have stopped the counting but I experience and see new things every time. For your first, maybe short visit you should go and see the 'tourist things' as the Brandenburger Tor, the Alexanderplatz (maybe a trip up the television tower?), the Reichstag and the Bundeskanzleramt and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. If the weather is nice you should go for a walk in the Tiergarten and the buildings of the Charite, but if the german weather kicks in you should visite the 'Musueums Insel', an island on teh Spree with losts of different museums and pretty places to just relax. All these places are easy accecable by public transport- I have to admit: compared to different cities the public transport is very good (on weekdays you don't have to check the timetables, you can just go the the bus or train stop and don't have to wait long). And if you are interessted and willing to learn some new things, you should visite the museum underneath the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe or visite a tour in the Reichstag (you can also go up to the glas dome of the Reichstag without a tour).
