For New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2017, Christian Louboutin continued ongoing collaborations with six New York-based designers, each collection walked down the runway in classic or customised Christian Louboutin styles designed to complement their artistic statement for the season.. Be they emerging, artistically-influenced creatives or established red carpet favourites, each designer’s collection, much like Christian Louboutin’s, was unified by the women who inspired it as well as the women who will ultimately wear it.

Christian Louboutin’s third season collaborating with up-and-coming brand Novis, was rooted in a playful experimentation of colour. This season, designer Jordana Warmflash took inspiration from Danish and Swedish modern design, art and furniture. Often inspired by forays into the domains of modern artists, Warmflash employed a full spectrum of colour, including rich royal blue, bright red, sunflower yellow and hunter green on bubble knitwear and hand-embellished, abstract floral evening pieces. Christian Louboutin styles Tsarou and Konstantina added even more splash to the mix, in customised colours with contrasting pom pom accents; FW16’s Adox boot donned bright, contrasting heels especially for the occasion. Adding the final touches to these modern masterpieces, expressionistic vintage floral nail designs were painted on using Christian Louboutin Nail Colours in Khol, Rouge, Pluminette, Daffodile and Mula Lisa.

A day later, a clean and modern collection at Cushnie et Ochs saw sleek pencil dresses, sultry ice-colored crepe slips and party-ready sequined separates. Ultra-sheer paneling was followed by magnetic satin citron pieces paired with Christian Louboutin sandals Crystal Queen and Acide Lace in a variety of understated nudes and patent black. The sophisticated collection called for a subtle nude stiletto nail using Christian Louboutin Nail Colour in La Favorita and silver striping tape.

For our second season working with CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund alumni Tome, bespoke velvet wedges in black and an audacious pink waltzed down the catwalk. The collection conjured the spirit of last month’s Women’s March in Washington D.C., with power-playing garments referencing the feminine form on silhouettes that outlined a women’s bust and torso. Paying homage to several women artists, Tome’s Louboutin Schuhe FW17 collection was filled with playful artist’s renderings. Structured blazers with shaggy ‘gorilla-like’ fur accents and a banana motif embellishment made a nod to the anonymous, all-female art coalition the Guerrilla Girls. Balancing the high-wire wedges, Christian Louboutin Tassel Slippers in custom colours glided confidently down the runway.

Packed with plaid, pearls and punk, Jenny Packham’s FW17 collection celebrated her heritage with all things British. Mother-of-pearl embellished satin separates and chiffon evening skirts saluted high society, while silk T-shirts with the words Pearly Queen poked fun at the aristocracy. Shimmering, sheer gowns—a Jenny Packham specialty— were ready to hit the red carpet paired with christian louboutin Follies Lace and Apostrophy Pump in a selection of nudes, red and a deep crimson.

From the Far East to South America, Naeem Khan was inspired by the globe-trotting woman for his latest collection. “It’s a collection in the spirit of the women I have met and the life I have traveled,” said the designer. Per usual, Khan’s elegant red carpet pieces turned heads with masterful handwork applied to beaded capes, embroidered separates and embellished gowns. Khan's artistic woman of the world knows no borders, especially when it comes to her louboutin schuhe . Christian Louboutin created original embroidered Louis XI over-the-knee boots reflecting elements of the collection’s extraordinary embroidery and bead work. Peep-toe Bambou platform also joined the voyage down on the catwalk.

Concluding fashion week with a statement of feminine power, Bibhu Mohapatra channeled Vanda from the play Venus in Furs. A decadent yet wearable collection, Mohapatra played unconventionally with voluminous shapes and silhouettes that blossomed at the shoulders and hips. Bursts of bright orange and fiery red imbued a fierce dynamism into separates and evening wear, while jeweled chiffon pieces with allover ostrich plumes delicately swayed down the catwalk. Custom Christian Louboutin cross-strap Choca sandal and platform Cherry Sandal echoed Mohapatra’s sensual palette. New style S.I.T Rain, here customized in creamy beige and black, presented an unconventional contrast for evening looks. Mohapatra’s finale saluted his diverse team with a triumphant arm-in-arm stroll down the runway, signaling the close of yet another successful season of Christian Louboutin NYFW collaborations.
