There is something magical about following your dreams. It call kind of comes into place, everything that has been and everything that´s happened before, there was a reason for it even if it sometimes is hard to see. If you are willing to listen to it, learn from it and know it´s guiding you, it takes you exactly to the place you are supposed to be at. It all depends on one thing though, to visualiaze your dreams and chase after them. My one was to come here. I couldn´t find my place back home. I love my family so much it hurts to be away from them but this was an important step for me, to go after what I deeply desire and what my heart told me to do and listen to no one but myself for once in my life. It´s hard being sefish cause you feel like you are leaving people behind but in order to be there for everyone else I had to make myself the number one priority in my life. I don´t know how long this adventure will last for but I know I am at the exact right spot at the exact right time in my life and I trust my path. This is what I am supposed to be doing cause once you decide to things for you and not only do things that other people expect you do to, it will all make sense and fall into place. Just do you!

So why I decided to name my blog Sea to Sky is cause of many reasons. My love for the mountains and the ocean comes from, I think, somewhat a feeling of being free. Being at the top of a mountain and swimming in a massive ocean, the same feeling, the wilderness and the unknown intrigues me and I want to explore it. Since I was little I have always loved travelling and exploring and been gazing out at the horizon wondering what´s out there. Always watching the borderline between the sea and the sky. So coming here I had to cross the atlantic ocean and I`ve already done a few magical hikes. This photo is from The Chief, a mountain about 45 minute drive from Vancouver. Funny enough the highway route is called the "Sea-to-Sky Highway Route" and goes between two of my dream destinations - Vancouver and Whistler.

So this was my first day in Vancouver, September 3rd 2017. I decided to apply for a Canadian work permit when i was in Sweden and follow my dream, to go live in Canada. I absolutely love the mountains and the ocean and it´s been a dream to once in my life live in a city which has both the mountains and the ocean so close. I gave up everything back home and I left for the unknown. I had never been to Canada. There are many cities in Canada but Vancouver was an easy choice. It´s right by the Pacific Ocean and it´s a city surrounded by mountains.  I can swim in the ocean in summer and I can ski 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver in winter. I am a happy girl. Vancouver hit me straight away with it´s beauty and it amazes be everyday how beautiful this city is. Best decision of my life.
