I often have these terrefying periods which includes me being paranoid as hell. Every squeak or quirk sound makes me shiver. Sometimes, when I hear sounds outside my bedroom window I automatically dial 911 in case there would in fact be some thieves and not just my mind overreacting. You never know, you know.
So it's this time again, me, being paranoid. About everything. To my astonishment there's a freaky owl outside the house, sitting in some tree, screaming. You know the typical owl sound you hear in horror movies when the characters are in the woods in the middle of the night? Yup, that's the sound I'm talking about. The scary horror owl from hell. I decided to name him Mr. Goodwin just to make him sound less dangerous. It hasn't worked out that well yet, but let's still have some hope.
When I first heard him I couldn't help but imagine the scariest faces from every horror movie I've seen, and I imagined human screams. That's some cozy sounds to think about when you're the only one awake in the middle of the night.
If you thought that was all, you're wrong. I live with fours cats, and one of them was outside. I opened the door to check if he was there, and he was. He stood frozen still and just stared in a direction I couldn't see, and when her little sister came out wondering what it was, she froze as well and both of their tails went to scared mode. She ran back in, but the other one just stood there without reacting to my voice. Then I heard some noise in that direction as well. First then he ran inside, and I closed and locked the door as fast as lightning. There's no one out here. I live in the middle of nowhere.
I'm probably going to watch some episodes of Game of Thrones now to calm myself down. The night is dark and full of terrors, am I right?
Good night, Mr. Goodwin, and to you as well, creepy being I didn't see.
