This is my favorite smoothie recipe. It doesn’t have a lot of passion fruit in it, but the smoothie base makes it taste a lot like passion fruit! And it is so delicious!! If you can’t find a passion fruit smoothie base - add some extra passion fruit!

Passion Fruit / Mango /Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

1 handful of mango
1/2 handful of strawberries
Half a banana
A couple of blueberries
(I use all frozen fruits/berries)

About 1 dl of vanilla yougurt (I use vanilla quark because it’s pretty high in protein compared to yougurt)

1 dl of passion fruit/ mango smoothie base (it’s like a thick juice containing only fresh fruits. I find it in the juice isle in my grocery store. I’m sure juice works to if you can’t find it)

How to do it:
Add all the ingredients in your mixer. I find it easier to but the frozen stuff closer to the knives in the bottom just because it prevents me from having to shake it around as much to get everything to blend :) mix until smooth. Serve in a glass. Decorate with some frozen fruit on top.

Snow, Skiing, Sweden, Woods

One of my new year’s resolutions this year is to learn how to cross country ski. I’ve done it since I was a kid and I know the basics of course, but for the last couple of years I have talked about wanting to learn the teach technique for real. So I actually signed up for a class which starts on Monday and I’m so excited!! It will be so fun!

Of course I had to test out my skis before the class and so I decided to take them out and enjoy the fresh snow where I live. Just 10 min from my house this winter wonderland is located. It is so beautiful and I feel so lucky to live near this place. I just wish it looked like this all year round, but the winters have been mild here lately and unfortunately it is rare that we get his much snow which is why I wanted to enjoy it while I could.

It was a perfect opportunity to test out my new drone that I got for my birthday and I have to say I am really impressed with the image quality. Looking forward to using it much more in the future!

Hope you’ve had a great weekend!

What I’m wearing:

In January We went to Bad Gastein on a ski trip. It was the first time we’d ever been to the Austrian alps and it was so magical! Our hotel was located in Bad Gastein, but we skied all over the area. The weather was incredible and conditions were perfect! It was such a perfect start to the year and I swear this is what heaven must look like.

I have a blog post about my favorite area in Gastein http://nouw.com/sarahmagdalena/sportgastein---the-paradise-of-the-gaste-31076701

In February we were so busy packing for the move to our new house, but we of course had to take some time off to go skiing. We went to Sälen where there was so much snow and again the weather was incredible. On this trip I shot some photos with a photograhper and friend who lives up there and the photos came out so magical! Photo cred; @steffesphoto on Instagram

March was a really hectic but fun month. We moved out of the apartment where we had lived for so long and moved in to our first house. Talk about life goals. Wow, it blows my mind that I now own a house!

April in the Swedish mountains was too beautiful to pass up. In the middle of working full time, getting settled into the new house and getting in the spring/summer mood I still couldn’t quite let go of winter just yet. Once again the weather was incredible and waking up to the sunny, snowy landscape was exactly what I needed.

In May the weather was ridiculously good! And I’m aware I sound like a typical Swede in this post (we always talk about the weather because good weather is rare in this cold, rainy country). Running outside in a crop top in May is unheard of though. And by the end of May we had a magical day in the Swedish capital Stockholm. We also managed to “install” grass in the backyard!

In the beginning of June we went to the south of Sweden to visit family. It was pretty rainy and typical Swedish summer weather! We celebrated midsummer at a friends summer house in Tjörn and on June 26 we went to see Coldplay in Gothenburg Sweden. It was without a doubt the best concert I have ever been to! If you have a chance to go see them you should! Such an amazing show!

In July we took a more or less spontaneous trip to our beautiful neighbor country Norway and I’m so glad we did! I have traveled quite a lot in my life but never been to Norway (other than to the ski resorts) and I honestly wish I had gone there sooner. It was so stunning every turn of the road led to a new magical place and it just took my breath away completely! I’ll be back for sure!

Of course by July we were starved for some snow and skiing so we went to Fonna Glacier Ski Resort to ski the glacier there. It was one of the warmest days of the year and such a cool experience taking your ski boots off in the parking lot wearing nothing but shorts standing bare foot on the warm asphalt dusting the snow off your clothes. Probably one of the best days this year.

In August I took some time off to go to the Canary Islands with my family. I have been there many times since I was little, but it’s always so nice and relaxing and I really love it there. This time we went all the way up in to the mountains, which we had never done before. Unfortunately this was in the middle of the Calima (when sand blows in from Africa) so the visibility was not too great and the temperatures reached 48 degrees in one of the mountain villages. Next time we will have to go on a clear day, I’ve heard the view is pretty incredible from up there.

September was another eventful month. I reached 7000 Instagram followers which was such a cool milestone! We took plenty of trips to the woods to go berry picking, mushroom picking or just for general walks and photography. Check out my blogpost about this here.

I also went on a work trip to EMO in Hannover, Germany. By the end of the month we took a trip back to Skåne to visit family and I swear the weather was warmer this time then when we visited in June! Read more about that here

In october I got to do a photo shoot with Swedish alpine ski racer Emil Johansson for his beanie collection and brand EJ Division. I have a full blog post on this which you can check out here . It was such a fun day!

We also went canoeing in beautiful nature and went to Stockholm, Sweden for a weekend to see the talented Ron Pope in concert. A great night for sure!

In November we finally got the first snow! Although it melted away pretty quickly. We did get some really beautiful days though and had time to take photos for our Christmas card as well! It felt so good to know that winter was so close. Check out this blog post from the first snowy day of the year.

Then came December, my birthday month and best month of the year. I love everything Christmas and also this is the month when you can finally go skiing again! It doesn’t get better than that! We got our Christmas tree in the beginning of December at a Christmas tree farm. I have a blog post about this which you can read here .

We of course also had to take two ski trips to Sälen to enjoy the early season skiing and it was just incredible! I can’t remember the last time there was so much snow in the Swedish mountains so early in the season! See more photos here .

This year has definitely been one of the best years of my life with so many memories made that I will cherish forever. I’m so excited for everything 2018 will bring!

Happy new year friends! I wish you all the best for 2018!

Two weekends ago we took a two day trip to Sälen for some skiing. We started this tradition of skiing the weekend before Christmas a couple of years ago when I was working in retail and my boyfriend was running a restaurant, mainly because the holiday season was so crazy at work that we found it so relaxing to get away.

This early in the season you never really know what you are going to get though. Last year there was almost no snow at all, the slopes were filled with water and the temperature was around 5 degrees Celsius. This year the weather was beautiful and cold (-17 degrees Celsius on Sunday) and it was simply magical. It had dumped several cm of snow the night before we got there so the conditions were absolutely perfect.

I hope you’ve all had a magical Christmas and I wish you all the best for the new year. Hopefully with some skiing involved ❄️😊

On Saturday we went Christmas tree shopping. We usually get our tree at a local flower/garden store in town, but I’ve always wanted to go to an actual Christmas tree farm and pick out our tree where it has been grown. So this year we found one right outside of town where we could go and search for the perfect tree. It was so cozy and we got to buy it straight from the farmer. When we got there it wasn’t busy at all. Probably because it is still so early in the season. The old man who we right away realized was the farmer himself was so kind and showed us all of the trees to help us find our perfect one. It was obvious he had his favorites among all the beautiful trees that he had grown. Sometimes I pointed to one and he just shook his head and told me things like “no that one is no good, there aren’t enough branches towards the top”.

Then we finally looked at one that I really liked and you could tell it was one of the farmers favorites as he said “Oh, that one is really lovely. I really like that one.” And so of course we had to take that tree home to decorate. And honestly he was right, it is probably the most beautiful tree we’ve ever had.

I am so excited for Christmas now!

Have you decorated your tree yet?

There’s always something so magical about the first snow. It makes me feel so happy and joyful. Winter has always been my favorite season and even though the amount of snowflakes that we’ve had so far aren’t many I still enjoy every single one.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

This weekend while I was in Stockholm I decided to try out this cute set from Stronger and I am in love! 😍 I am pretty picky about workout tights because I want them to be thick enough to not be see through, high waisted, stay in place and be cute and comfy at the same time! I have to tell you that these ones hit all the marks for me! So perfect! 👌🏻 And yes, they are great for the gym as well, not just for casual pillow fights 😂

This style is called Aruba. Check it out here: https://www.stronger.se/se/aruba-tights/

Disclaimer: Stronger was kind enough to send me this set, but I am not making any money on this post and all opinions are honest and 100% my own.

So excited to finally share the super fun photo shoot I did a little while ago with Swedish alpine ski racer Emil Johansson for his brand EJ Division.

Although Emil and I are from the same small town in Sweden we had actually never met before. He found me through Instagram and asked if I wanted to join a fun, active shoot at an outdoor obstacle course and gym nearby where we live. It sounded like way to much fun to pass up and I was right! We had a great afternoon shooting and I laughed so much!

The shoot was for his brand new beanies and they are so comfy! Use the code SARAHMAGDALENA10 to get 10% off your own here: http://www.ejdivision.com/

Disclaimer; I am not making any money from this post or the discount code. I genuinely just want to support Emil. Not only is he a super talented skier but he is also such a genuine, funny and down to earth person + the EJ Division beanies are awesome! 👌🏻

What better way to enjoy the beautiful weather than going for a run outdoors? I am absolutely not the best runner, but I do it for fun! It feels so good to get some fresh air and live it the moment. Such a great way to clear your head.

Did you run this weekend?
