There’s always something so magical about the first snow. It makes me feel so happy and joyful. Winter has always been my favorite season and even though the amount of snowflakes that we’ve had so far aren’t many I still enjoy every single one.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

This weekend while I was in Stockholm I decided to try out this cute set from Stronger and I am in love! 😍 I am pretty picky about workout tights because I want them to be thick enough to not be see through, high waisted, stay in place and be cute and comfy at the same time! I have to tell you that these ones hit all the marks for me! So perfect! 👌🏻 And yes, they are great for the gym as well, not just for casual pillow fights 😂

This style is called Aruba. Check it out here: https://www.stronger.se/se/aruba-tights/

Disclaimer: Stronger was kind enough to send me this set, but I am not making any money on this post and all opinions are honest and 100% my own.

So excited to finally share the super fun photo shoot I did a little while ago with Swedish alpine ski racer Emil Johansson for his brand EJ Division.

Although Emil and I are from the same small town in Sweden we had actually never met before. He found me through Instagram and asked if I wanted to join a fun, active shoot at an outdoor obstacle course and gym nearby where we live. It sounded like way to much fun to pass up and I was right! We had a great afternoon shooting and I laughed so much!

The shoot was for his brand new beanies and they are so comfy! Use the code SARAHMAGDALENA10 to get 10% off your own here: http://www.ejdivision.com/

Disclaimer; I am not making any money from this post or the discount code. I genuinely just want to support Emil. Not only is he a super talented skier but he is also such a genuine, funny and down to earth person + the EJ Division beanies are awesome! 👌🏻

What better way to enjoy the beautiful weather than going for a run outdoors? I am absolutely not the best runner, but I do it for fun! It feels so good to get some fresh air and live it the moment. Such a great way to clear your head.

Did you run this weekend?

Nature, Scandinavia, Travel, Sweden

Indian summer. Without a doubt one of my favorite times of year. The leaves start to change colors as the trees shed their green, summer coats. The bright yellows, bold oranges and deep reds start to form a new color palette all around us. This is the time of year when we expect the air to be cold and crisp, but then suddenly Indian summer hits like an unexpected heat wave. Usually we find ourselves overdressed. Pleasantly surprised by the warm rays of sun washing over us just one last time before the cold autumn breeze takes control of the season for good.

This weekend I found myself in a jacket and rain boots by the ocean in the south of Sweden expecting rain and a cold salty wind. But the sand was warm as in july and I didn't hesitate to take off my boots and let the final summer sun warm my feet. It was magical and breathtaking all at the same time.

Hiking

Not much beats walking in the woods. This weekend was so cozy. On Saturday we had planned on taking a walk in the woods to look for some chanterelles, but the rain was pouring all day so we went on Sunday instead and the atmosphere was magical. It's just something about this beautiful season. The leaves have started to turn red and orange and we found so many lingonberries and blueberries! And a couple of mushrooms as well. It was just so peaceful and quiet. Exactly what I needed to clear my head.

In a way opening up to the magic around you is a commitment.
Once you do, it will get you forever.

The power of nature is grand.
The strength of the mountains.
The depths of the seas.
It can make you feel like smallest human being standing in the midst of it all, but if you let it, it can lift you up.
It can strenghten you.
Ground you.
Mesmerize you in a way you never thought possible.

And if you're one of the lucky ones, the first time you inhale that mountain air it will change you.
And you will never be the same.

Homegrown berries and beautiful flowers are definitely some of the things I enjoy the most about living in a house with a garden. It's so calming to go out into the garden, light some fairy lights and just relax in a big chunky sweater. Enjoying those last summer nights before fall comes around for real.

Skiing

As fall starts rolling around I always start to think about where I wanna go skiing for the next season. (Or more accurately this may or may not be on my mind all year...) Looking back on last season there were definitely some gems that I can recommend to you if you are planning on going on any sort of ski trip this year.

My favorite was definitely Sportgastein. This is a part of the Ski Amadé area in Austria and located closely to the perhaps more talked about ski area Bad Gastein.

Sportgastein is the highest point within Ski Amadé. The top of Kreuzkogel reaches 2.686 m above sea level and will bring some amazing views. Especially if you take a little hike to the very top. A 360 view of the beautiful landscape and snow covered mountains will leave you breathless.

This area also offers quite a large amount of off piste powder, when the weather allows for it. During our stay in Austria we had clear blue skies and not a cloud in sight, which means the lack of powder was definite and the avalanche risk was serious. So no pow pow for us unfortunately.

Still this is definitely my favorite ski area from last season. Long slopes with amazing views. Perhaps a bit more challenging than the rest of the Gastein area, but also a lot more fun. And nothing too hard core I promise! Although I might stay away from the steepest expert slope if you are inexperienced... it has a warning sign at the top so you can't miss it.

Another fun fact is that this area houses one of the steepest t-bars I think I've ever been on. 52 % at its steepest, Just to make things even more interesting you know.

This is a snowy paradise I can recommend!

A snowy paradise that I can recommend any day of the week! I loved it!
