The game come to Sweden by Britain during the 1870s, but not on any further organized level and in another early variant. Only in 1890s organized soccer for men was practiced in Sweden and the first Swedish series was created.
Many children start to practice football in the age of six-seven.
In Sweden there are five football schools. In Borås and Västerås there are for girls and in Gävle, Norrköping and Sundsvall there are for boys.
Another ordinary hobbie is Horse riding. It´s a big racing sport actually the next biggest sport in Sweden after football. Riding is one of very few Olympic branches where men and women compete under the same conditions and the only branch where animals are included as participants.

Horse driving: Equestrian variant with horse,with marathon tests, dressage tests and precision driving. Runs usually with one horse, in pairs or with four horses.
