I didn't have the energy to clean up the hole apartment, but here's what our bedroom and living room looks like now. (The wallpapers came with this rent apartment so do not pay too much attention to them... :D)

This year has started pretty slowly and normally. It's going to be a big year (3 months until baby time) so maybe it's a good thing to take an easier start ;D

We finally did a proper trip to IKEA and got some missing furnitures to our living room and bedroom plus baby stuff, so apartment pics coming really soon.

Almost christmas! This year Pori had the most pathetic christmas market ever. Our home could also be a lot more christmassy but Juha is not that into it...

I'm now half done (week 23) with this pregnancy thing. so I thought it would be a good time to write down what it has been like so far.

We had talked about getting kids, but more like two years from now, so this was a really big surprise. That's why it was first really hard to believe that I'm pregnant, even though my period were pretty much late, boobs sore and we did 3 pregnancy tests. I was already somewhere around week 5 when we found out and mostly I felt pretty normal for a long time.

Then came week 11 and the nausea. At first I felt just a little bit sick if I got too hungry, then I started to react to some smells and in weeks 12-13 vomiting was included. Mostly I've felt sick in the evenings, especially after a evening shift at work, many times I got home just in time to greet a toilet seat. I started to have little snacks in my shirts' pocket (peanuts, raisins, candy on worst days), it kept me going during work but still I threw up at home. There were a time when I threw up every day, but luckily it was only once a day.

I can't remember when was the last time I vomited, probably somewhere between weeks 14-15, so luckily the worst was over pretty quickly. I still do feel sick sometimes, especially if I haven't eat enough, bad smells make me gag and I can't brush teeth before breakfast, but I have not let anything come up. :D On weeks 18-19 I started to feel more and more hungry, almost all the time, so probably because I'm eating pretty often it has calmed down the nausea. My tummy is suddenly begin to look like I proper pregnancy tummy and also I have started to feel that something might actually be growing inside of me. 🙈

The baby pics are from our second ultra sound couple weeks ago and btw, it's a boy.

Last week I was dog sitting at my moms' house when it still was a pretty winter wonderland, now it's suddenly again much warmer and less snowier.

So here it is, the main reason why I've been feeling so damn powerless sometimes and that's why it has been pretty quiet here on the blog too. We are having a baaaabyyyy! The due date is in April, same day as my own birthday, so it would be pretty fun if this one decides to be on time. It's still sometimes pretty hard to believe that this is happening, but my slowly growing belly is starting to make this hole thing way more real. The ultrasound pictures are from the beginning of October and we are having the next check up at the end of this month. Let's hope that little thingy feels like showing it's gender! -Marika
