We had to make a technical drawing after a already designed chair that two students had made three years ago. An exercise that will prepare us for the chair that we will be designing.

I used different leaves and a different arrangement, but still with the same technique. This time I wanted to use pleasant colors for the eye, that might not be super realistic but would be found in the nature.
Starting off at Trädgårdsföreningen I painted different flowers and bushes. Left out shadings and some details. With a lightboard I was able to make a new branch, created a new shape with just 6 different types of leaves from the same bush. I used the Copic fineliner with the size 0.3mm.
When I was done with that stage I colored it with Promarkers. I used several layers to get some effect and shadings. Due to the fact that I used regular printing paper the colors "bleed" a bit.
My class and I were invited by Hotel Avalon on a tour on their rooms. Pretty inspirational I have to admit. A lot of royal and rich colors were used, they tried not to use 90 degrees angles, which made it pretty interesting. A lot of details were spread out through the hotel, not only to please the eye but with function as well.
All in all the hotel was airy, light and bright.
First week of school.
We had to: Cut out pieces, stick them together in a nice way that pleases your eye and paint the creation.
