Hello Hello! Last week was homecoming week! It was really fun and every day was a theme day. The point is that you should dress yourself according the day, however, I didn't get too many pictures from that.
Monday: Colorado Day
Tuesday: Mathletes Vs. Athletes
Wednesday: On Wednesdays We Wear Pink!
Thursday: Hawaiian Day
Friday: Poudre Spirit
There were activities throughout the week which was fun. On Wednesday it was the powderpuff game. This means that the senior and junior girls play a football game (American football) against eachother. After that there was a bonfire that was absolutely huge! I was talking with the other Swedish girls and we felt that it reminded us a bit about Walpurgis (cozy!), I could not help but think little of Grease, too. All my friends were there and it was so cool!
On Friday, it was the homecoming game. It is a football game (american football here too) our school played against another High School here in Fort Collins. Unfortunately it rained before and a little during the game, so we had to have jackets and cheer during the game to keep us warm! It was fun anyway!
On Saturday morning, I had an XC meet and had to wake up early to run, but it paid off because I got a personal high and everyone had written "Race for Grace" on our legs because a girl on the team can't run due a few reasons. It was a really fun race and I am happy that I managed to run all without vomiting (though I thought I would do it during the 3 mile).
The same evening we had the homecoming dance! It's been all that people have talked about in the past month, however, i felt that it was a little too much drama about it for a while... Anyway, I got ready with some other girls in XC. We had lots of fun and took lots of pictures! Then we went and ate Italian food in Old Town, nice to see other friend groups walk around in their dresses and suits! Had so much fun at the dance, but I was totally exhausted when I got home as it was a busy week.
Sorry I have not updated until now, but it has been pretty overwhelming lately, hoping that I can get into the swing of things soon again.
