There is one thing every student has to face before booking their actual trip and starting an adventure : Which organization is the best ?
The first thing you really need focus on is that not every popular organization is right for everyone. Every organization has different priorities and some are not suitable for everyone. If you are interested in improving your language skills very strictly, than you probably should not book a trip with an organization focusing on free time activities. Of course fun is a very important part for every student, but you have to think about what you really expect your trip to be like. I, personally, did not book a language trip because I want to focus on improving my language skills, but because I want to live the culture of Ireland. That is why EF is the perfect match for me. Not that EF is bad for studying, the opposite is the case, but EF has many different courses suitable for almost everyone. You can pick an intensive course in which you will have to go to class very often to improve and focus on your English, but you can also pick a normal international course with 4x40 minutes lessons a day - so you have a lot of free time between your classes. You can even choose between Home Stay and a Residence. That is one of the reasons why I chose EF for my stay.
Another reason is - please do not laugh at me - the advertising. I know it might be childish and everything but EF has really great brochures. Of course that was not the final reason to choose EF but the brochures were very appealing and they convinced me to google it and find out more.. And obviously they have done the same thing with you. Got ya ;)
Besides their huge amount of experience they gained after 50 years, it seems really easy to travel with EF. They help you at your home airport, take you off at your guest airport, organize almost everything for you. That almost seems too good to be true...
Last but not least they are rumored to have awesome host families. Probably the most important thing for me.
All in all you have to check individually which organization is best for you. You have to feel comfortable with your choice. If you do not like EF from the start do not pick it because everyone else thinks it is great. Fortunately that was not the case for me, but it might be for you. The most important thing is that you feel like this is exactly what you need.
Lots of love
