Unfortunately my last week was so busy that I had no time for a jog, however I had some spare time this Sunday so I decided to use it for recreation, which means exercise. As usual I ran about 2 kilometers and after I did some push-ups, squats and planks. What was very noticeable is that it was difficult for me to remain in the same tempo and focus on breathing at the same time. Thanks to good music and hoping for the best I managed to run the distance in less than 15 minutes. People who run regularly know the feeling of pure joy after finishing the distance. It is due to the release of endorphins. Boost of energy I receive after exercise is absolutely outstanding. I would never change it for anything.

Today, as every Monday, I went to Bednarska szkoła podstawowa. It is twice as pleasing due to the fact that I have been a student of Raszyńska, therefore visiting the primary school brings back old but very good memories. Every visit develops my traits of being considerate, thoughtful, caring and firm at the same time. The thing I have observed is that even six year olds are already addicted to technology. Despite the fact that development of technology brought many advantages, there is no doubt that it can also be harmful, especially for new generation. While I am there, I try to expand their creativity, make them come up with ideas. There are no such things as good or bad, it is only their approach that is important.

As I have mentioned in my last (and first) post related to service, there is second thing I do which is helping in the Bednarska szkoła podstawowa at Kawalerii 5. My duties are, taking care of children with disabilities (helping them study), being an advisor of school council and taking care of children in general (playing with them, studying, etc). My supervisors are the principal of the school Maryanne Chodkowski and one of the teachers Dagmara Korandriej. To be honest I was a little bit skeptical about this activity due to my bad experience with young children. However I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and see if I manage to handle the stress and responsibility. Results are beyond what I have expected. I genuinely adore these kids. They are smart, understanding and loving. I usually come there on Mondays, and it makes this day hundred times better. Not only have I developed organizational skills but also I realized how responsible one has to be to take care of over 300 hundred of children. I really look forward to working with the school. The stuff is absolutely great, they are demanding and helpful at the same time. What makes my heart melts is the fact, that kids remembers me after the first visit and just a week ago, few little girls came up to me and said that they missed me and that they are very happy to see me. I cannot remember when was the last time I felt that flattered and fulfilled even though I have just showed them some affection.

Despite the fact that this blog is meant mostly for my CAS it would be a waste of time if I didn't post anything beside updates of my CAS activities. Therefore I decided to share some of the things I like to do in my spare time (which is rare). Right now I'm sitting in a Cafe Stor on Powiśle, drinking coffee and thinking about how to fit work worth of 28 hours into 24 hours. Wish me luck :))

To be honest I find it very difficult to find activity that would meet requirements of Crearivity. I decided to sign up for sign language club that meets every Thursday at our school. It is organised by my friends. I would never think of learning such thing however once I started I realised  that deaf people are pushed on the dregs of the society. In comparison to the population of the whole world there is very small group that actually knows how to communicate in the sign language. Therefore I hope for great results after accomplishing this course.

CAS service. In fact I started few service activities Which are; helping in a primary school on Kawalerii 5, what I do there is play with children, help them with homework and also I help in organising meetings of the school council. However this signature belongs to a nurse who is helping paralysed woman. Her entire body is paralysed. Only with her eyes she can communicate. My job is not only to read her books but also to just spend time with her and talk about things that happen in my life. In short I am trying to become her friend. I will be trying to visit her every once a week.

For my CAS activity I decided to take up running. My first challenge that I will try to fulfil during the next couple of weeks is to run a distance of 2 km in under 10 minuets. I hope to develop my running skills and set more difficult goals in the future. I use an app called Endomondo to help measure my distance and time.
