Sooo.. Let’s start with saying welcome to my blog (you know – just to be polite). My name is Natalie Flavin, but 99% of the time I go under the nickname Nati. Well - at least in Norway, in england they can't even pronounce Nati right. After being restless in a little city called Larvik in Norway for 19 years, it was about time to get out of there and explore a new part of the world. The solution was simple: No matter where I travelled in this world, and I’ve been many places, I found myself always dreaming about London. Ever since I was a little kid, I found myself coming back to London every single year. It was just something about London that gave me a good feeling – the right feeling. For what reason I don’t know, but considering the fact that I am half-Irish maybe it might have been the reason I was led back to my ‘roots’. The rest is history. From the day I got of that plane with a one-way ticket, London has felt like home to me – even more than the city I had lived in for 19 years. I’m surrounded with an amazing atmosphere every day, and the best part? It keeps getting better for every day that passes by.However, I didn’t come just to chase more of that good feelingeven though that would be ideal: I just graduated in a BSc Psychology degree at Middlesex University (don't ask how I did it, I'm still asking myself that.)

I believe that happiness is the best key to energy, so I try to fill my days with as many things as possible that brighten my day. I’m probably the most restless person in this city, and I constantly do something. Luckily, I live in London where the possibility to explore is never-ending. There is always something to do, see, taste and smell here. Naturally, this I will share with you, but you can also expect to see other stuff. It's hard for me to have one niche as I am a very muiltipassionate person. I love arts, fitness, cocktails, health and fashion just to mention some. Being so multipassionate is a little bit confusing sometimes, but I've now settled With the fact that it simply allows me to Challenge my intelligence in many different aspects.
I don’t take myself too seriously, and as laughing is one of my favourite things in the whole wide world (I wanna live until I’m old, that’s why).

I hope you enjoy my blog, and don’t hesitate to drop me an email at natalieflavin@gmail.com if there’s anything you want to tell me or ask me (tell me some secrets!)

And here you have a cheeky little picture of what I look like, like there aren’t 49024201 other pictures of me here.

MORNING! Well at least morning for me.. I just woke up after a little boogie last night. Maybe not convinient before the weekend has even started, but honestly: I really needed it (at least I like to believe). Now I'm doing a little work from bed before heading to Notting hill. I have plenty of blogwork to get done, and do you know why? No lol of course you don't. It's because.....*drumrolls*... I am changing platform! I'll get you posted as soon as it's all done, so stay tuned. Have an amazing start to the weekend! Love. Xxx

I'm not going to lie - vintage fashion is not my strength. Not that I don't love it, because I do, it's more the fact that I'm not patient enough. Most of these stores are a massive mess, and having to go trough every single piece in order to find (or maybe not even find) something is not something within my patience-limit. The lace top is old, but the velvet jacket was something I spotted in one of the many charity-shops on my way to Uni (it goes to charity, so that means I have an acceptable reason to shop, huh?). I am absolutely obsessed with velvet these days - it's cool, elegant, different and can make an outfit 100% complete. Velvet is the kind of materials you either love or hate! How o you guys feel about velvet? Now I have training before heading to Borough market to meet up with a friend, and after I have quite a lot of work to do. The days are flying and I better enjoy before I am back at Uni full time again. Also, my roomies are coming back in a few days, and i literally cannot wait to see them! Living alone in the apartment is heaven....for 3 days until it gets terribly lonely. The coming year at Uni is going to be very hectic, and I will hate it, but luckily I have lots of fun things coming up to balance it all. However, it is absolutely crazy to think about how fast my degree has gone so far! It feeling like a few months ago I entered this city not knowing what to expect. All I know is that it has been the best choice in my life and an absolutely incredible journey. I've learnt, experienced and been so incredibly lucky to have come across the people, situations and places that I have. I can't wait to see what the next to come is. Have an amazing day, monkeys! IMG_0371.JPG Superfood salad: Quinoa, peppers, avocado, roasted chickpeas, halluomi cheese, pomegranate, red onion, spinach & beetroot.
A while ago, a good friend of mine took me to an art exhibition presenting the environmental challenges the world is currently going trough. Art in most cases show some kind of message, but using it to get world problems out in the light is something I think is amazing! I of course forgot my camera, but I got to bring this magazine home. There are so many things we can do to help our earth and environment. For example, the exhibition showed a 25 gram piece of meat in a glass box. Why? 25 grams of beef = 380 litres of water = 890 grams of CO2. 25 grams of beef guys. 25 GRAMS. That's nothing. I'm not telling you guys to become vegetarians, I just want to show you how big a change many of us would make if we just cut some of the meat we eat out. You guys have NO idea how many incredible dishes you can make that are all meat free! Just a little reminder (we all need that sometimes). As for myself I'll mention like I have before: I eat very little meat, and I still eat very boring. Whats new.. I found out a fun fact the other day. 90% of the time I eat one of the following: Porridge, salads, soups or eggs (any style really). Luckily, there are many variations to be made, especially with salads! And the best thing with these four is that you can mostly do the ''take what you have thing''. The salad above for example was absolutely incredible, and simply made of...whatever I could find. A true superfood salad that will keep you going for hours, and with a herb tea on the side it is the perfect meal at anytime of the day (..okay, maybe not breakfast). Although the change I promised myself with being more inventive hasn't been too successful yet, I'm fully determined to explore and try some new things in which I can't wait to share with you. Xxx

[caption id="attachment_1959" align="alignnone" width="800"]OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Eager to see what the huge hype over the Louis Vuitton exhibition series 3 was, Christina & I strolled trough the beautiful yard of Somerset house and towards the neighbour building.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1961" align="alignnone" width="800"]OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA We entered the building and suddenly saw what the main focus was: visual presentations of highest quality giving you goosebumps.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1941" align="alignnone" width="800"]OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA As for me, I haven't been crazy in love with LV...until the newest head designer stepped in. The past years, the brand has stepped it up a notch and the creations are incredible: especially the bags. They're modern and ticks all the boxes the world wants to see, yet still they have managed to keep their classic symbols.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA[/caption] It was particularly interesting to see how they make their bags: The materials they use, how they're made...not to mention the inspiration behind the designs. [caption id="attachment_1942" align="alignnone" width="800"]OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1944" align="alignnone" width="800"]OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA (The different rooms had very good selfie-lights swell...Just saying)[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1947" align="alignnone" width="800"]OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA They did everything right to highlight the bits and pieces: The clean and bright representation was totally on point, and the fact that the pieces were out of this world beautiful did not make it worse.[/caption] OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA I mean.... [caption id="attachment_1949" align="alignnone" width="800"]OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA[/caption] OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA One thing was very clear: this was not just thrown together over the night. Planned to every detail and definitely not saving any $$$ LV really went big this time. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA And now folks, I have good & bad news. The bad: I'm not rich so I can't buy all the stuff giving me strs in my eyes. The good: The exhibition is 100% free, so anyone can pop in and dream away, be inspired and perhaps learn more about LV and how they do their shizz. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA We left the exhibition feeling amazed and inspired, and had a little pitstop at Bill's to fill up before separating and heading home to separate ways of London. Bill's is always a great experience (everything Bill Granger creates is..). I am not the biggest fan of chain restaurants, but Bill's i an exception & you can find it many places around town. Not only is the food banging - the interior is too, in which always helps, huh (hi instagram material!). Morning monkeys! Just popping in to show you yesterdays look. Christina & myself went to see the hyped Louis Vuitton exhibition here in London, and all I can say is: You don't want to miss the post about it! MAN it was amazing. I'll get that up here asap. Today I am going for a run, then meeting up with Christina to shoot some blog material and when I have a meeting at Uni. It's reality, but today I've had to bite the sour apple as I was supposed to see a Champions league match. Aaaaah such a bummer as I was really looking forward to that. I hope everyone is having a great week so far, and I'll be back soon with some more juice. Mwaaah! Xxx

As mentioned earlier, I got the main role in a music video in may and now it's finally here! The whole experience was absolutely amazing - I loved every second doing it and if I ever got the opportunity again I'd do it without even thinking about it twice. It didn't make it worse having to play the girlfriend to one of the worlds most famous models either.. What I was surprised of while doing it was how much work and people there is behind it. It's ridiculous! Also, I never knew I would get so exhausted.. Having 3 camera's around you and 10 people for 14 hours is no joke. However I absolutely loved getting this opportunity & it feels great to finally see the result. Have a look and let me know what you think! Xxx

A little mix of pictures from what I've been up to lately: IMG_0245.JPG   Birthday dinner for my friend at STK. Spectacular like always (I've done a post on STK here) IMG_0256.JPG Beautiful London at dawn. Dawn has always fascinated me.. IMG_0265.JPG W hotel, another favourite that I find myself coming back to again and again. Can't blame me though, can you? IMG_0217.JPG And last, but not least: The stunning view from Radio rooftop. If you ask me, people should never come to London without experiencing this incredible view. I mean.... AH! So freakin' magical.
Lately I've caught myself philosophising in so many ways. It's so unlike me to ''overthink'' like that. Overthinking has always been something I straight away connect with problems - and let me just say I can confirm that again. Why do I avoid it? Because we don't need to understand everything in this world. It's okay. I've asked myself so many questions lately, without having an answer to it. No solution. I've noticed things in the street I'd never have a second glance at earlier. I've thought of my own life in ways I never have before. I've been frustrated, confused.. feelings all human beings have every now & then. Then, suddenly I realised that a lot of the feelings we have, the things we notice, joys, sadness simply stem from...perspective. How we feel about life or other things is in a huge degree decided by what perspective we see things from. It's the same with situations as well as in people. We decide from what point of view we like to see things from. Everything is relative. The most beautiful flower can look like a disaster if we focus on that one scratch it has instead of the beauty it has. A person that is not a good contribution  in your life can seem like it is a great contribution if you focus on the amazing moments with that person. Your career can seem exhausting, negative and a massive hazel when you forget everything it actually gives you: you have a reason to get up every morning, you make a positive contribution to the world, you get food on the table every day and many other things. We can't have it all - but if we see it from the right perspective we'll suddenly realise we have everything we need. When my frustration over things took overhand I called one of the wisest people I know. With triple as many years as me on this earth, having seen the entire world and a positive energy anyone could ever dream for, he filled me with his wiseness and before we hung up he said: Life is a beautiful thing Natalie. It's amazing. Don't spend more time on this, I want you to go outside. Sit down. Find a tree and look at it. Look how it stands up. Look at how it changes colours. Look at all the things that makes that tree so special. And so I did.. I went for a 3 hours walk in Hampstead. Suddenly - I realised he was right. Life is a beautiful thing, even though it's not always the way we want it to be or what we expect it to be. Xxx

Hi monkeys! I am alive indeed, although it may seem I haven't been the last week. The last week has been hectic to say it mildly, and there has been many changes, new experiences and lessons learnt in my life. I'm not going to go any deeper than that, but all I can say is that I promise to be back here every single day again. IMG_0237 IMG_0238 IMG_0241 Jumpsuit and belt - Missguided // Bag - Saint Laurent
It is not a revolutionary fact that jumpsuits is my go-to outfit for going out. This new piece had its debut yesterday for a birthday celebration for my friend at STK followed by No.41. That night was so needed, and I found myself waking up this morning thinking how I want to stay there, all day. I cannot justify how much I needed to sleep out today! As much as I want to stay here though, the sun is shining, so I'm definitely going for a long run in Hampstead (after I've snoozed a little longer..). I'll make this one short & sweet but stay tuned: I won't leave you alone for that long again! Xxx
