I felt my first earthquake last night. I was just about to fall asleep when I woke up by the beach shaking. I didn't really know what happened or what is was. It was just shaking. Didn't shake too much though. The epicenter was somewhere near Westwood, close to school, so a little far from Marina. It was something, haha I was scared. Scared but sleepy, so I woke up thinking why is my roomies to loudly, then realising it was an earthquake and then going back to sleep. First cali earthquake done and done.

So Ive been looking for halloumi forever now. Because of my statement-lifestyle (vegetarian, its a statement) I eat halloumi as others eat meat. I freakin love me some halloumi. Today I f i n a l l y found some at Ralph's by UCLA. My happiness of founding halloumi faded away when I saw the price. 11 dollars. For one. Are they kidding me?!

If anyone could be a darling and send me some halloumi from Sweden that would be great. K thanks.

ps. I wrote "halloumi" seven times in a post with five sentences.

Sunday was game day, meaning the first [American] football game of the season. We started early, around 11, at campus, to gather all our stuff and head down to Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena. Yes, for some reason the UCLA football stadium is 45 min away from campus. Y tho?

The plan was to park all seven cars next to each other and tailgate. Tailgating is such an American concept. Basically, you have a bbq and drinks by a parking lot close to a football stadium. Very southern in my opinion, but for those who knows me, the cowgirl in me was so happy.

We got there around noon, and it was a 1000 degrees outside. I was sweating from places I didn't know I could. Not a very pretty sight. But the tailgating was amazing. It was so much fun. Just sitting there, eating a lot of veggie hotdogs, drinking VodkaPreach (Mine and Annas new drink, we're obsessing atm. It's just vodka and peach. I actually JUST came up with that name, so happy with my creativity), and just hanging out with a lot of cool people.

The game started at 430 and I must confess that I was so bored. Honestly, I didn't understand anything, they were just running and tackled each other. UCLA did not even score that much. However, the game ended with UCLA winning.

A better spend Sunday I must say.

#gobruins

Apparently the stadium has room for 92 500 football fans and one selfie taking Swede. All good.

I love wearing all black. However with my black hair, it can sometimes be too black. But this time, all black and a little tan was on point. #thatselfconfidencethough

My second week of classes ended with a long weekend. I couldn't be happier.

As second week past by, I have to be honest and say that I was even more confused this week than last week. The readings are too much. I barely had time do read everything. Ill have to plan my studies way better if I ever want to keep up with school. Anyways, the best part of school is the weekends.

Thursday me and my roomies went out to Ohm, Hollywood, to see Major Lazer's Jillionaire. He was awesome. We had so much fun. Unfortunately I had a little too much to drink, so Friday morning started with me being hangover. I hate being hangover. I did not have this problem when I was younger. But the older I'm getting, the more hangover I am. Getting older sucks. I ended up forcing myself out of bed and headed straight to Santa Monica and my fav bar - Bungalow. I met up with some other girls from school and we had such a nice time. Bungalow never fails to deliver. Im just heartbroken that Suave doesnt work there anymore. He was the best thing about that place.

Suave if you see this - please come back.

I took the girls to Circle bar on main st. It was packed but fun as always.

Saturday morning I woke up, took the bus to westwood and then a couple of us drove all the way to Laguna Beach! Seriously, my first time being there and I was blown away. Such a beautiful place. I have to go back. The day was literally perfect. The sun was hot, the water was blue, the view was to die for. We had late lunch/early dinner at this beautiful place with a sea view. I think I ruined their white leather chair with my blue jeansshorts. When I left, the white chair was blue. Oh well.

Tomorrow - game day. UCLA #fightfightfight

Another beautiful weekend in LA. I feel so lucky.

Anna came by on Friday after school. It was cool. We had some ah-mazing vodka/peach drinks and took a walk in Venice. We ended up at Erwin hotel, with the roof top bar. Honestly, the best view of Venice at sunset. And then we had dinner at C&O.

Saturday was the big fight. Im not even that into UFC (or boxing whatever) but I really like that McGregor guy. He's one crazy irish dude. I wasn't impressed at all by the fight. More impressed by the fact that they make so much money punching each other. I could also punch someone for that kind of money?!

Sunday funday - best day of the week! We went to W Hollywood, a pool party. It was so cool. We met some cool people, drank, I jumped in the pool. All in all, it was great. I ended my perfect Sunday at cabo with some nachos. Now I'm in bed, full of nachos and trying to do my readings for tomorrow.

Okay second week - less go.

My friends are so tall. Okay Im just so short. Also found my dream car, had to take this awkward pic before the owner showed up.

When I was younger, my favorite preschool teachers name was Margarita. As I'm older now, my favorite drink is Margarita. It's funny how life has its way of creating a full circle.

This is my life now. Can't complain.

Monday and start of my third week in school. Today was also the start of all classes at the law school. Im taking 13 units this semester, starting with Business Association on Monday mornings. These Monday mornings will surely kill my spirit. I have to wake up at 6 am(!!!!) just to take the bus at 6.46 am (takes time to look pretty) and my class starts at 8.25 am.

My classes seems very interesting and I liked the professor in both classes, so far.

While sitting in the classroom like one of the not so cool kids in class, my mind kept wandering off to my own legal system, the Swedish legal system. I tried to find the same thing in the Swedish legal system like the ones the professors was talking about. Even though comparative law is NOT in any way my specialisation, today I couldn't stop compare Sweden and the US. I guess this is what international students go through, especially in law, when facing another legal system. The comparison makes it easier to understand and follow the rules and cases in this new and unfamiliar legal system.

Super sorry for this boring post. Imagine I wrote about this sh*t for five months of my life, which resulted in a final thesis and a law degree. So can't complain, but still.

Btw. If anyone knows what the Swedish legal function for "Agency law" would be, please let me know. My mind compared, yes. However, its not very good at it. #life

So I live in beautiful Marina del Rey right. Two blocks from Venice beach. So basically Im living my lala life to the fullest. However, I'm the ONLY one living on the right side of LA (no offence). All the other LLMs livs close to campus or around Westwood. Today Alizey had this great idea to go to downtown for this food truck festival, Smorgasburg. I was like sure lets go. DTLA is on the other side of LA. Wasn't sure a food truck festival was worth the trip, but it was! Such a cool way to spend your Sunday. Surrounded by food, beer and ICE CREAM!

I ended up having pizza and a melting pink lemonade popsicle. Life couldn't get any better on a Sunday.

Tomorrow school starts for real. I have to walk around on my high heels carrying four heavy books. My inner nerd couldn't be happier. Wish me luck y'all.
