Sunday was game day, meaning the first [American] football game of the season. We started early, around 11, at campus, to gather all our stuff and head down to Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena. Yes, for some reason the UCLA football stadium is 45 min away from campus. Y tho?
The plan was to park all seven cars next to each other and tailgate. Tailgating is such an American concept. Basically, you have a bbq and drinks by a parking lot close to a football stadium. Very southern in my opinion, but for those who knows me, the cowgirl in me was so happy.
We got there around noon, and it was a 1000 degrees outside. I was sweating from places I didn't know I could. Not a very pretty sight. But the tailgating was amazing. It was so much fun. Just sitting there, eating a lot of veggie hotdogs, drinking VodkaPreach (Mine and Annas new drink, we're obsessing atm. It's just vodka and peach. I actually JUST came up with that name, so happy with my creativity), and just hanging out with a lot of cool people.
The game started at 430 and I must confess that I was so bored. Honestly, I didn't understand anything, they were just running and tackled each other. UCLA did not even score that much. However, the game ended with UCLA winning.
A better spend Sunday I must say.
