right now, I own three driver's licenses and they are all legal. so if I get "caught" b y a cop, I'll show my Swedish/international one and I'll probably will be let go with a warning, and if they just do like a check up I'll show them my Pennsylvanian one hah. it is extremely useful to get out of tickets!

so what is it like driving in the states? well there are some differences for example the speed limit. but what to keep in mind is that it it differs from state to state! so the state I live in, Pennsylvania, the speed limit is extremely low. for example on the high way you can like tops go 60 mph which equals 100 kmh... annoying, maybe that's why I have managed to get a ticket haha. the turning on red is an other thing, but that is seriously so smart and something we should enforce in Sweden!! it is sooooooooo nice skipping the red lights! an other things that annoys me is all the stop signs, they are literally EVERYWHERE and it is driving (hahahha driving, get it? we are talking about cars and driving hahaha) me CRAZY!!! they should put in some roundabout here and there and it would be much easier, but of course that also means that the Americans need to learn how to drive in one and trust med they do not! they have like yield signs or even worse stop signs in roundabouts, it is horrifying!

driving in a big city? well Pittsburgh isn't the biggest city and therefor I don't find that terrifying the only thing I resent driving here is the way they planned the roads. it is insane. Pittsburgh is known for its bridges, we have ,like 247 of them, and on one bridge it can be four lanes.. and let's say you are on the right-right lane and need to go the left-left lane, you have to do that within 400 meters and with tons of cars! not that easy... I have driven in Toronto, big city in Canada, and that went perfectly! I think, or at least when it comes to me, that you have a mental block that says it is gonna be hard.... 2, 3 or 4 lanes? doesn't matter actually, you get used to it

taking an Pennsylvanian driver's license was so easy it is scary how easily you can pass. their main focus was if you had the ability to parallel park,,,,

"when I was walking in Memphis.." yup, been there done that. Memphis Tennessee is a gorgeous place t visit because of two reasons, depending on how you are counting..
1. the culture- Memphis breathes music, music is everything. walking down Beale street was amazing because of the blues and soul playing inside every club. and since we are in a music capital it is frowned upon if there isn't a live band playing. people just taking the culture in, sitting outside drinking a beer and just listen. words can't even begin to describe it...
2. the food- not sure about you guys, but I have always heard that southern food is food with a capital F, meaning it is one of the best things you can eat. what counts as southern food then? well there is one thing that comes to mind talking about this, and that is barbecue, and with barbecue I mean ribs and lots of it too. I am not a meat girl, meaning I can't tell what's soooo good about the meat etc and when it comes to ribs I am clueless but my travel companion and my dear friend, who is a meat person, basically forced me to try the ribs. and oh boy how tender they were. probably one of the best things I've ever eaten. but here is the secret to find good ribs; you can't go to like a fancy restaurant you have to go to an old almost "dirty" looking one. there is a reason why that restaurant is still around. before I walked into the place we ate, I told Jenn "if I get sick it is on you"...

what else can you do in Memphis? well there are tons of things. Jenn and I went down the Mississippi rover on a steamboat listening to the tour guy talking about the city history. we went to sunstudios, and for those who doesn't know what's so special about that I can inform you that it was THE studio were Elvis and Johnny Cash and other big names recorded their music. we went to Graceland, ad took a tour around Elvis' house and we also went to the civil rights museum and I am telling you, even though I am a museum person that was the by far the coolest museum I've been to. you feel like you are a part of the civil rights movement... oh it was so cool, and the museum is built around the motel where Martin Luther King was shot and the place where the shooter stood.

after this trip the song "walking in Memphis" makes so much more sense now...

okay guys, I need apologize... I promised that I was going to keep you updated about my year here in the states, and lets just say that I failed miserably.... sorry, I do have a pretty good excuse though, my beloved punk computer crashed and I decided to buy a tablet instead of an actual compute...but recently I bought myself a computer (I tried finding a pink one, but they didn't have it.. I know I am just as upset as you guys) and therefor I don't have all the Swedish letters and decided it would be easier typing in English... and please forgive me if I make mistakes

so what has happened since I last posted something... hm it is tons where should I begin?I have traveled a bit and have tons of pictures, how about a post a place I've traveled to, with tons of picture, every day till I've filled in the gap of me not blogging? (hahha does that make sense? I'm extremely tired and I've been with Sara all day and talked Swedish)

but something new is that I got a new tattoo, or I wouldn't say it is new anymore but for you guys . I do miss my siblings terribly and one afternoon I decided to get a small J on my wrist to always have them near me even though we are 7000 km away.

I slutsekunderna avgjorde Steelers.

Knasigt, men sååååå amerikanskt!

1. Folk är oerhört trevliga. (vilket leder oss till nummer 2)

2. Amerikaner ÄLSKAR accenter och svenska tjejer.

3. Människor som handlar på Walmart är konstiga,

bevis: www.peopleofwalmart.com

6. Många filmer har spelats in här,
såsom Batman, Perks of Being a Wallflower med fler.
