This is it. This is when I tie it all together and say thank you one last time. I couldn't say it enough, it has been an amazing year and I am so thankful I got blessed with such an amazing American family and great friends who let me in with their arms open. Everything I have done this year, all my "American adventures", all the fantastic people I have met, the sonic runs, the hikes and the football games, all of this have made an incredible impact on me. I have changed as a person, I am definitely not the same as I was when I left Sweden one year ago, but it's only to the better! I have grown as a person and have become more independent and mature, but also more adventurous and openminded! I hope everyone get to experience something like all of this at least once in their life, because you make friends and family for life. And I can assure you, this is nothing you will ever forget!
After more than 24 hours on the go, from Phoenix to Los Angeles to Stockholm, Me and Paula arrived to a cheerful "welcome back" at the airport! I was only expecting my parents to be there to pick us up but surprisingly a bunch of people were waiting for us! With flowers, banners and an american flag they all wished us welcome back. Back at our house even more friends and family were waiting! It was a good feeling knowing I've been missed... It definitely made it easier for me, even though I know it'll be hard to adjust back to what used to be my old life. I'll most likely publish one more text before I say goodbye to everyone who've read the blog during this year. Where I can write more about my last thought etc. So stay tuned!
Not any high quality pictures but these past days (which sadly added up to be my very last week here) I've tried to enjoy everything to the fullest! Me and Pia have had so much fun with pretty much all of our friends, so it's been crazy trying to find time for everything! Anything you can imagine, from sonic runs to swimming, dancing in parking lots and playing fugitive we've done! All of this mixed up with tears. And so, yesterday morning it was time for Pia to leave... At 4 o'clock we said goodbye for so long and together with her host family she headed to the airport, and Germany. I know for sure I'll see her soon again, we've already started planning my first trip to Germany to visit!
Oh my, I don't even know where to start... To begin with yesterday was SO MUCH FUN! Our friend's Renata and Kyra's mom rented a big bouncy castle with a water slide and arranged a goodbye/pool party for us! How sweet isn't that!? If you weren't there you missed out because I felt like 5 again and I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one!!! But of course, with all this came some hard goodbye's... I am so grateful we've met the people we have and words can't describe how much I am going to miss them! I will be back, for sure!
Unbelievable. All these people have helped making this the best of my life, and I couldn't be more happy to call them my friends. So many memories I have together with them! It's crazy! Last night Me and Pia had our "Farewell", a little goodbye-party. A great night with lots of laughs but also floods of tears... Said "see you later" and "so long" to many loved ones. I tried to pick out the best pictures but it's impossible so this is almost all of them...
It was so spontaneous, and so adventurous (I love it!). We took our friend Hudson's truck out to his dad's property just outside Florence where we spent our day riding quads, chasing cows, riding zip-line and exploring new spots! They have a medium sized house in the middle of their 29-acres property, built out of containers and concrete only. I know I say it all the time but I LOVE ARIZONA, just take a look at these pictures!
Another lake trip is checked off the list, even though we barely saw the sun it was just as warm as if it would've been there. Cliff jumping is always a blast so we all had a great day, we also found out that the biggest cliff we just off of is 45 ft 😨 So much fun!
I've never been so fascinated by dancing in my life! Yesterday night our friends had their recital for the summer and I couldn't be happier that I went! The girls, but also the guys who were a part of the very last dance, did an amazing job and managed to make me crazy jealous! 😍
