Me and Laura landed in Chicago early afternoon on Thursday and took the train downtown where our hotel was. We checked in and headed out again to Hancock building where we went all the way up to the top and had a drink and some snacks and watched the incredible view!!! After some shopping and looking around we went to a restaurant and had pizza Chicago style. Different but soo delicious 😋 We could only eat like one piece each (of a small pizza, then imagine the big one...) so we gave the rest to homeless, poor people 😔

After that we took an uber to see Buckingham fountain (😍) and walked back to the hotel. On our way we walked through Millennium Park and found a very cool art exhibition that was only open during night time.

The next morning we had breakfast and after that Beth arrived at the hotel and we went out for shopping and some lunch at Michigan Avenue.  In the afternoon we took the train to China Town which was very fun to see.  My first China Town I ever seen.  We went back to the hotel, I went to the gym and later we where having dinner at a really good restaurant. I think the best sushi of my entire life,  so so so delicious.

I can't believe I've already been in Minnesota for two and a half moths.  That is crazy, the days passed by so fast and it feels like yesterday me and the kids rode our bikes to the beach...  Today me, Sara and Moa took a last walk around beautiful Lake Nokomis and it really feels like fall here now.

Last week with the kids, we went to gymnastic, one last time to the cute little coffee shop and on Friday we went to the mall and did rides to "celebrate"  last day before school.  And we went to the eagle center with Karen soo lucky kids and wow!!  Eagles are huge and actually very interesting animals.

I've done alot of fun things with Sara too.  We went downtown St Paul, the Cathedral was so cool!  And we went to see Prince's house and studio, wow!  We had brunch and I went to museum and..... I fell with my bike and broke my phone.  Again.  What grownup fells with a bike to start with??  Me. But...  I got a new phone and I'm probably gonna be able to return it last day in New York and get a new one on my old insurance at home. What a mess.  Big shootout to Sara for helping me on Tuesday 😂❤

Tonight was my last night with the whole family, so sad. I'm going to miss all of you so so so much. Laura, Mitch, Owen, Quinn and Linnea, thanks for everything and these moths have been fantastic. Something I'm going to remember for the rest of my life, and I really felt like a part of the family. And all the fun stuff we did together... hard to explain in words, but mixed emotions about leaving for Chicago tomorrow ❤❤❤

Tomorrow - Chicago with Laura!!!  Where we're going to meet up Beth on Friday and stay until Sunday,  and I will also meet my friend Johanna from Sweden who now lives in Chicago, excited!!!  XOXO

This Sunday, we all went to a very cute town south of Minneapolis, Red Wing.  We walked around downtown and had lunch. After lunch we hiked to the top of Barn Bluff, beautiful nature and view!

Then we went to Mitch's parents farm in Goodhue. Such a nice farm, with 40 cows and many cute calfs. It was wonderful to be at a farm again and I even helped milking all 40 cows,  actually first time ever for me and I actually think I did okay!!🐮  Not a very good day for Quinnie tho, who fell and hit his head when the big and happy dog ran over him. L and M took him to the hospital later in the evening and luckily everything was good with his head, puh!

I'm so happy I got to see some of the countryside here too.  And some smaller cities, they were just like in a American movie of a small town! 😍

Last Friday we all went to Minnesota State Fair!  It was sooo much fun 😍 For all the Swedes who don't know what a fair is ; it's kind of the Swedish "marknad" minus all the things for sale, plus many more (!!!) food places and 100000 other things to do. We started with the animals (horses, cows, pigs, sheep)and it was wonderful to see horses and breathe some "horse/barn air".  Huge stables with all sorts of different horses, American saddle breed, Draft horses, Miniature horses, you name it! There were soo much people in the stables and the swede in me got a little nervous 😅

We did some rides, mostly Quinn, who's the braves of us all. And we had some food, lots of different yummy food. My favorites were spicy/sweet grilled chicken, and the deep fried apple pie with cinnamon ice cream 😋

One really cool thing we did too was the butterfly house.  It was like a room with many (!!!!) big butterflies in, that you could feed and look really close at. ( I know, only in America 😂) It was very cool though!!!  One landed on my pony tail so it kind of looked like it was ment to be there.  I just love the black and white picture of Owie ❤

The boys loves horses and horse jumping, especially since I was showing them pictures and videos of my horses at home and when I jump. So the plan was to watch the showjumping at 5 pm, but we waited and waited and waited.  Finally they started building the course but it took forever. 😂But the kids really wanted to see so when it finally started after many hours of waiting they were very excited. Very fun to see the difference in the style between Swedish and American ridning!! We also saw other horse shows such as American Saddle Breed, Western and Draft horses, cool!  But the ASB looks so unnatural to me, and I kind of feel bad for the horses bc I know some people use terrible training methods.

While we were waiting for the jumping to start we were going down the big slide,  wiiii!!

This Saturday, I volunteered on a gift shop on a children's hospital together with Laura. It was a cute little shop inside the hospital with toys, stuffed animals and books. The shop was all volonteer ruled and the whole profit is going to the hospitals projects. A very good experience for me and so fun to see. I feel that it's a lot more volunteer things going on here than in Sweden. Almost everyone is doing something and Laura told me about so many good volunteer project around here. Something swedes should learn more from according to me.

On Sunday we had breakfast on a cool place very close to our house, Hot Plate. We walked there, me, Laura, Quinn and Linnea. I had a very American breakfast, omelette with potatoes and toast. Soo much food 😅 Could hardly eat half of it so I had breakfast for the next morning too. But it was very good. In the afternoon I met up with Sara and Moa at Minnehaha Falls and we had a nice walk.

I'm bad at writing here everyday, but I'm gonna catch up now and tell you about my 6th weekend here in USA.
On Friday the kids and I went to Edinborough Park.  It was construction on the roads there so it was a little hard to get there 😅 I'm lucky to nanny for such nice and cute kids who says nice things when you need them the most 😂 Quinn: " You're a very good driver Lobisa " (Yes, he says Lobisa) Owen: "Don't worry about driving the wrong way Lovisa,  it's like a fun adventure!"  ❤❤❤

On Friday night me and the girls went to a Greek restaurant Uptown.  Really good food and we also tried out Glam Doll Donuts afterwords, such a hipster-place 😅

I've forgotten to tell you about what Sara and I did some days ago!  We went Walker Art museum which was a really cool place. One of the best art museums I've been to and it was HUGE. We also tried to see the famous Spoon and Cherry sculpture but there are construction so it was kind of hard...  But we saw it!!  We also had yummy Mexican fool by Lake Calhoun 😋

I've already been here for one month and four days now, crazy!  The days are passing by so fast!

This Monday me and the kids rode our bikes to a cute coffee shop with a big play area for kids, funny!  Quinn got a new bigger bike this weekend so now both of the boys can go really fast and far.  On Tuesday we went hiking on a path by the creek, fun little adventure. Yesterday we went to the beach and in the evening I met up Moa and we tried her new hammock she got in birthday present. Everybody is laying in them by the lakes here, so I'm so glad I could try one out. Really cozy, but kinda hard to be two persons in it, even though it said it was for two people. Me and Moa definitely need to practice our hammock skills 😂😅

Today we went to McRae Park and had a really good time before it started to rain and we had to ride our bikes home.
