Long school day behind. An hour of studying. Carrots and cucumber dipped in hummus. Reading about Harry's second task in the Triwizard Tournament. Up next: grocery shopping.

I am most productive in the morning and I know that I work best before 12pm. Plus it's an awesome feeling getting everything done before noon. So, I woke up today half past seven (not to an alarm though) and ate a big breakfast, consisting of bread, oatmeal and fruit. Then I took a hot shower, got dressed and sat by my desk and started reading Finnish grammar. I am finally done now and to reward myself I am going to sit down with a cup of tea and continue reading on Glass sword by Victoria Aveyard. I am so close to finishing it!!

New Zealand! Live in hostels, backpack thru the big forests, go whale watching, hiking, enjoy the sun, swim in clear blue water, meet new people, experience the food culture, see the Kiwi bird and not care about time and just live life. I do not care with who I am going to make this trip but I promise it will be awesome. One day, I promise, I will have walked on the ground of New Zealand. XO

Hey! I wanted to pop in and see what has been going on. My life has been pretty uneventful. I am going back to school on Monday so I just want to take these last days as they come. I have played badminton, watched an embarrassing amount of Gilmore Girls, read and walked outside in the winter wonderland that's happening here in Helsinki. Tell me what you have been up to!

The Finnish winter has arrived. It is -15 degrees and a cold wind is blowing outside. Though I love snow I have never been a huge fan of the coldness that it brings. These cold months really make me miss the warm summer days. To get myself warm and cozy I filled my bathtub, dropped a lush bath bomb in it and lubricated my face with a minty face mask. I lighted a scented candle and read short storys written by Tove Jansson about summer while laying in the warm water. I have never felt more relaxed.

A snowy day well spent at the mall. Eating a delicious chèvre ciabatta and sipping on a chai latte. Talking about the Holiday's. Walking around in stores looking for something to buy. Waiting in line for 15 minutes to try on clothing pieces just for fun. Wearing to much clothing for a day inside. Trying to stuff excess clothes into a shopping bag. Hugging goodbye and walking home sleepy wearing a smile.

Did you do something in 2016 that you hadn't done before?

I went to confirmation camp, visited Iceland, learnt to water ski with one ski, had a summer job and worked at a law firm.

A note from my phone:

Which dates from 2016 will you always remember?

27.6 when we flew to NYC, 21-28.2 my time in Are at my confirmation camp and 20-21.6 when I was with Sofia in Stockholm.

Which was your biggest success in your personal life?

Realizing that I am not living a healthy lifestyle and not treating my body well and starting to work on that.

Favorite reading experience:

Legend by Marie Lu

I will give you the sun by Jandy Nelson

Every day by David Levithan

Favorite TV-show:

SKAM and Gilmore Girls

Favorite movie:

I do not like watching movies and I hardly ever go to the cinema so I don't have much to choose from but Nerve will be my favorite.

What do you wish you had did more?

Listen to my parents, live in the moment and not worry about the future.

The food you ate most of in 2016:

Definitely all type of veggies and fruits. I don't even want to know how many apples and bananas I consumed this year, haha. Oh and also I have drank so much glogg these past months I am kind of embarrassed of myself....

What did you do on your birthday in 2016?

I was in school most of the day, spent the afternoon with Sofia and had dinner with my family in the evening. I was not happy that day and it was probably the worst birthday I have had though all of the people around me were so loving and happy. I did not feel good at all.

Biggest wish right now:

That I will be healthy, be able to enjoy life and that one day I will be backpacking thru Australia or New Zealand.

Who did you miss?

A friend.

What are you most proud over?

That I started dealing with my issues and that I learnt to accept myself the way I am.

2017 is coming to an end and I am so ready for the new year. I am done with 2016 and all the trouble that it has brought with it. I have not put high expectations for next year, I just want to be genuinely happy, not worry and be healthy. Sounds easy but it's hard work to get there.

As previous years, I am spending New Year's Eve with my family and godmother- and father at our cottage in Lovisa. We are going to eat a delicious dinner and shoot fireworks. We drove out here last evening and the few hours the sun was shining today, I went on a 45 minute run, grocery shopping with my parents and had lunch at a local restaurant. When it got dark I crawled up in the couch, put on some 90*s music and continued reading Harry Potter.

I took these pictures on a walk around Töölöönlahti and I really liked them so I decided to post them now.
