Hello. It has been a while and I am sorry about that. I have been through some tough times these past few weeks but I am feeling better. I have had some health issues and it has been hard to deal with school and friendships on that. I have been feeling a lot better this week and after I wrote my last exam on Wednesday it felt like a big weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I am so relieved that it's only two weeks until Christmas break when I get to sleep in and don't worry about school. Today has consisted of waking up after 9am, eating a long breakfast with Patricia, taking the bus to Lauttasaari to meet Sofia, baking damson jam pinwheels, crafting, eating christmas porridge, walking and watching Gilmore Girls. Comment about your day! Hugs.

This has been such a good day. I did not go to school because Patricia and I volunteered at the Finnish International Badminton competition in Ruskeasuo. We were there last year helping in the café and this year we were selling tickets. We went there early in the morning and stayed until noon. It was fun catching up and watching professionals play. I spent the afternoon studying and walking in stores seeing what type of Black Friday sales they were offering. Sadly I didn't find anything. This evening both of my parent's weren't home so we bought pizza with my brother from this restaurant called Alfon's (best. pizza. ever.) and watched a movie (Rush Hour). Super cozy. Tell me about your Friday :-).

Hello! How are you guys doing? I am fine, not the best, going thru some stuff right now. It will take some time for me to feel perfectly fine again but I am working on it and it will work out. Also, this weather is so grey and gloomy it doesn't get you in a better mood at all. But to stay as positive as possible I am taking my mind to Christmas and snowy days, it makes me feel so calmed. I really hope we will have a white christmas this year. I also began reading the fourth Harry Potter book. I am so in love with that series and I have noticed that I can totally zone out while reading it. I never do that, usually. I actually had nothing to tell you guys but I just felt like updating you guys so here you go! To end this post I will link some songs I have been listening to. Hugs.

Iceland! I visited that beautiful island in the summer with my family and lately I have been missing it so much. I was looking at some photos I took and here are some I want to share with you.

The beautiful city of Reykjavik <3. The buildings were so cool, I love the street art.

there were some with grass growing on the roof...

the church spire looked so gorgeous and this lake gave it such a fairy tale setting.

the nature was absolutely breath taking. If I visit Iceland again I will go on a long hiking trip and see all of it's secrets.

the old marine was so beautiful with it's boats and small restaurants. We took a boat trip from here to see puffins and they were so adorable!!

Hello lovelies! Hopefully you have had a wonderful weekend because I have had a bit of stressful one. My family and I drove out to our cabin yesterday after watching my brother's game and I was so pissed and stressed about everything that I decided to go on a walk. I ended up walking for straight two hours in the forest just thinking, and it was so calming. I felt so much better afterwards. Today I woke up super early (7.30 can you imagine?) and I sat down at my desk and started studying. While reading about the Finnish tax system I watched the sun rising and I noticed it was snowing! It looked so beautiful.

We came home early and in the afternoon I visited my friend Anna's event for refugees. It was absolutely amazing how she had all by herself arranged this occasion where she gave out free winter jackets and soup for the refugees. I was so lucky I got to help her and play with the children, they all looked so happy. It really got me to appreciate what I have and the people I am surrounded by. I feel all of my stress go away and now I will drink up my lemon tea and go to bed. Sleep well.

What's up?! I am feeling really positive. My work day went really well. I ran some errands for the interns and got to pack down some binders in paper boxes, haha so fun. Everything is better than sitting in a cold classroom though. I even got to end my day one hour early because I had done all my tasks and they had nothing more tasks for me. Am I effective or what? I spent the extra hour strolling around in town and I popped by Zara and I found these gorgeous pairs of jeans (right picture, find them here) and I wish they had followed with me home... I cured my sadness, however, with a visit to Fazers cafe with my grandmother. I enjoyed a cup of glogg and a damson jam pinwheel (my first one for the year, delicious!). I played badminton in the evening and now I am all showered up ready to crawl up in bed. Hope you have had a good day! X

Good morning! This week has begun so well. I am not going to school at all this week, I am actually working at a law firm. It's something we have to do for school. Search for a workplace and then go work there for a week (without getting paid). We do this so that we will learn to search for a job and to see how it is to work for real. I get to work at a law firm and my first day (yesterday) was so fun. I got to run some errands for them and sort some papers and I got to learn some things about lawyers and how they do their job. The people there are really nice so I have high hopes for this week. X

When I am thinking about a good day it often contains one of my close friends and either a coffee shop or IKEA. Today I was lucky and got to enjoy a few hours with Sofia and her family at this big store called IKEA, strolling around among the different furnitures and decorations. I picked up some Christmas presents but I also bought a few small things for myself. You can't walk into IKEA and walk out empty handed, it just doesn't work like that. We also ate lunch there, it was the second time for me, and once again I was positively surprised by there food. I came home after three and have just taken it chill, doing some schoolwork and watched a couple episodes of Gilmore Girls. Right now I feel so relaxed and much healthier than yesterday and I will continue to enjoy my cup of tea and read. Hope you have also had a marvelous day! Hugs.

Hello! This week has not been the best. I have not been feeling on top of the world, I have had a sore throat and a runny nose. Last night I felt weak and went to sleep early and when I woke up I knew there was no point going to school. I stayed in bed until nine and for breakfast I made a smoothie bowl and the rest of the morning I spent laying in bed watching youtube. I felt stronger at lunch time so I decided to go eat lunch with my dad. We ate a delicious lunch at Factory and on my way home I walked on Aleksanterinkatu enjoying the fresh and sunny air. I think it was a good decision for me to go on a quick trip outside because now I feel more energized. The rest of the day I will still spend reading a book and drinking lots and lots of tea. What are your tricks on getting healthy after being sick? X
