Located about 20 minutes north of San Francisco on Highway 1. This is a wonderful, peaceful place where you can see surfers right from the road. You can park your vehicle an appreciate the beauty of the ocean, kids running, adults walking or just seating on a bench. Have you ever heard of "The Mavericks" surfing contest? http://titansofmavericks.com. It takes place here once a year.
Today the world celebrated International Women's Day and my friend, who I met in high school in the country we were born, became a United States of America citizen. We met when we were about 16 years old and I knew back then that she had "it" to do great things in life. I remember her dedication, effort, concentration, and "no fooling around mentality." I also remember her being respectful, enthusiastic, with a wonderful smile and when I looked in her eyes I could see that her soul was full of dreams. We are the same age, but she is a mother, a teacher, a role mole, an avid reader, an unbelievable human being, and many more amazing things. I observe from afar and something tells me she will accomplish many more great achievements.
Congratulations, I am super happy for you and I can't wait to witness what you'll do next!
Sometimes I feel awed with the things I witness in any given day and it makes me feel extremely lucky.
