Today we spend all day at the appartment fixing kitchen and puting counters together. It is so fun to see the progress. Bathroom starting to look really good with marble shower and floors. Kitchen also moving along quite well. We will hire a professionals to place a marble table on top of the kitchen counter so it will look amazing!: :)
We were looking for a statement lamp for the kitchen and luckily we found an amazing one at Jotex. It's called Venezia lamp. It's so beautiful and one of a kind - I think it will be perfect in our kitchen.and ordered it today. I hope it looks as good as it is on pictures because we really want to create a wow factor in our kitchen.
I hope you enjoy it!
Have a great weekend!:)
Details matter. To be honest I never thought about this concept when it comes to the interior design, but living in Sweden for almost a year I can see that just like in everything else, details matter.
I spend some hours researching instagram and reading bisse blog (she is amazing <3) and I came up with a list of accessories that I must own. Some of accessories I already purchased and some will be added to my collection in the near future.
What do you think about golden accessories in the house?
About a month ago, we bought an apartment to renovate. This is our first project like that and I am very excited to see what will be the end result.
This is our appartment before renovation. Good canvas to work with but bathroom and kitchen needs an update.
We have removed everything old out of the appartment and started to paint and fix the wallls. We also removed the wall in the living room to give a move open feeling to the appartment.
We decided to completely redo bathroom and make it bigger. it was a closet next to the bathroom, instead we merged two spaces together for a bigger and more modern bathroom.
We are doing everything ourself except for the bathroom, because it really requirs a professional approach.
I am specially excited about the styling part. I am still new to scandinavian interior design, but I really like white colors, lots of beautiful accessories and fresh flowers.I have been following Jannike who runs bisse blog for quite some time. I think she has an amazing style and I am absolutely blown away by her attention to details. She is really good at what she does.
So, when we will be at the styling stage, I will try to follow her style and try to create something similar.
I bought few design elements that she suggests in her blog and I will share with you what have I purchased in my next post.
Just like any other girl I absolutely love beautiful shoes! I am so lucky that my husband went on a business trip to USA. So I went to amazon.com and order summer shoes that I really need and I can only get it in USA. Prices so much cheaper there and selection so much better. I always struggle to find a nice pair of shoes in Europe unless it's super expensive or really cheap. There is not much in between that looks and feels nice.
So, on my picture there is a paid of golden Badgley Mischka with absolutely stunning golden details. Two pairs of summer sandals to wear to work and one pair of Sam Edelman flat sandals with beautiful jewelry to match beach outfits.
The fun part about moving to the new country is to discover its traditions and food. OMG, i just love semla. I never tried it before, but it's definitely one of the best desserts I have ever tried. If I would have to choose the best desserts that I ever had in my life....semla would be top 3, no doubts.:)
This Saturday, we went to the lovely cafe in Malmo called Hollandia (.http://www.hollandia.se/old/smallkontakt.htm ). It is a very charming old place with porcelain cups and plates and it's been there for decades. Coffee is wonderful and atmosphere reminded me of Parisian pastry shops with delicious bakeries and red carpets. I would highly recommend to visit if you are in Malmo.
Welcome to my blog! I am very excited to start this blog and share experiences of my life with you. Even if no one will read this blog, I think it will be so fun to go back and see my journey and experiences. I am a huge believer in documenting (I am not very good at it), but I think it gives value no matter what.
So, who am I? Long story short, I am a Russian girl, 33 years old, who moved to Malmo, Sweden from Barcelona for a job + my husband really wanted for us to move to Sweden (him hometown). It was a bit challenging for me to change sunny Barcelona for a gray Malmo, but I am always up for a challenge and job opportunity that I was offered was too good to refuse.
What type of job? I am a professional digital marketer and I work at the local e-commerce company. I love marketing!:) I've got my Master's in International Marketing at EADA business school in Barcelona and previously I have worked with few e-commerce sites.
I actually used to have a blog before, it was called Glamthings.com. I started it in 2009 and wrote mostly about image consulting (I had that hobby before) and my travels in Costa Rica. But after few years of writing I felt like I need a break and focus on my education and marketing career.
My goal is to write everyday for 365 days. The year of blogging. I am not sure if I can keep up. But, why not to try?:)
