I absolutely love this pyjamas inspired set from Ganni. I have already used both the trousers and the shirt loads separately - but it's so great together as well.. Add a pair of heels and you're ready to go!

This Saturday night is being spent on a mattress on the floor in our new place. I am moving house this weekend, and although we won’t have any furniture until the middle of next week, that’s half the charm of moving isn’t it? Takeaway meals eaten on the floor and sleeping on a mattress!

It might be a bit quieter here until we get internet sorted out, but in the meantime feel free to follow me on Instagram, where I try to update at least once a day! You can find me at lifebykaricom :-) What are you called on Instagram?

My favourite knit these days is home made by my mum, and I love it! It might be more of a summer knit, but it was perfect for Gran Canaria. And it has tempted me into trying to make something similar myself, but in different colours. It's the "Poppy" jumper by Line Langmo, and you can find the recipe on her blog!

I love to use my wardrobe favourites to decorate around the flat. Before Oskar was born, our spare room was partly used as a walk in wardrobe, but now most of my treasures are packed away in our wardrobe. However I do keep a few out on display, at the moment it’s my favourite sparking jumper (perfect for Christmas) from H&M, My Gucci belt, my wedding shoes from Jimmy Choo and my Céline handbag!

I'm spending a long weekend in Gran Canaria, and I am so happy to be back in the warm weather. It really is the perfect time to go away and get some winter sun, then when we get back home Christmas will be just around the corner! Can you believe it's only 5 weeks to go?! I'm so excited!

These photos are from around the resort we're staying at - Sheraton Gran Canaria Salobre Golf Resort! Although the hotel is a bit secluded from the rest of the area, I love it here. It’s so quiet and peaceful and we’ve got all the restaurants and pools we can possibly need around the area. There’s also a free bus transfer to the beach, which is only 15 min away. It’s my first time in the Canary Islands, but I will definitely go back to this hotel!

Make sure your desk is nice and tidy - with a good working environment you'll be more inspired to do work and you'll feel more structured and organised too.

Keep some of your favourite book at your desk - this is great if you need a short break, browse through a book for inspiration. I absolutely love "coffee table books", and a few of my favourites at the moment are "How to be Parisian", Eirin Krisitansen's "Miss Independent", "All in Good Taste" from Kate Spade and Alexa Chung's "It"

Alway have a notebook at hand (both at home and on the go) - this is so important, you never know when you'll be inspired, and you might not always remember it when you're sitting in front of the computer. I always have a little notepad in my bag, although I sometimes use 'Notes' on my phone, I definitely prefer to write things down the old fashion way!

Light your favourite scented candle for a calming atmosphere - my favourite at the moment is 'The Ritual of Happy Buddha', which takes me straight back to our holiday in Portugal.

Make a cup of tea and make sure you have some healthy snack around before sitting down, that way you won't have an excuse to get up after 10 minutes!

The juice bar Crussh first introduced me to the concept of juicing, when I was randomly handed a taster of one of their delicious juices last year. Being every retailers dream, this made me come back again and again for this juice, until I finally decided to take matters into my own hands - I bought a juicer.

I have to say, I'm probably not the most creative person when it comes to recipes, I will usually find a few favourites and stick to them. But I have 'created'a few great juices that I could easily drink every day, you should definitely try them.

As Christmas is fast approaching, I thought I would share some of the things on top of my wish list at the moment - when it comes to clothes, jewelry and around the house.

Trousers from Kate Spade, Diemme grey boots, Georg Jensen candle holders, leather jacket from All Saints, Tiffany & Co. ceramic cups, Pernille Croydon ring and table and chairs set for the garden from Skagerak.

Although I'm lucky if I have time to put make-up on in the morning these days, if I'm doing something or getting dressed up, I do like to spend some time on my make-up. I like my make-up to look natural, and I'm weak for products giving some extra glow - especially now in the winter months. Therefore I thought I would share some of my favourite products with you (alongside my favourite photos of Kate Moss by Mario Testino).

  • Strobe Cream Hydratant Luminex from Mac: The perfect highlighter
  • Soleil Tan de Chanel: Giving your skin the perfect sun kissed look
  • Hoola by Benefit bronzer: I've had the same box for over a year now, using it every day, so it will last forever
  • Mac Mineralize Moisture Foundation: I have finally found a foundation that doesn't make your skin look dry or patchy, and although I would only use this for nights out or other special occasions, it would be great as an every day foundation too!
  • The Bronze Palette from Kylie Cosmetics: Best eyeshadow I've used in a long time, they don't drizzle at all when putting them on and if you're feeling experimental they mix well together as well!
  • Kylie Cosmetics black Eyeliner: Super easy to apply and keeps throughout the day
  • Marvelous Moxie from Bare Minerals lipgloss (colour Rebel): I was accidentally introduced to this lipgloss from the make-up artist for my wedding, as I had completely forgot to get one. I bought one for the day, so I could re-apply when needed, and it's been a favourite ever since!

I love the light this time of year, just before the sun is setting! But you have to be quick, 5 minutes after I these photos were taken it was pitch black outside. Although I don't like the fact that the days are getting shorter, it also means that Christmas is coming, and I can't wait! Next week we're off to the Canary Islands for a mini break, and although I'm very excited about getting some summer dresses out again, I am loving being able to wear winter coats again.

My coat is and old favourite from Zara and my jumper is from Happy Wifey Oslo (by far the most comfortable jumper in my wardrobe!)
