Here's my honest opinion on what it's like to be an American with Trump as our president...
Let's go back to when it was announced that he'd be running as president and most Americans thought that it was a joke.
He had his show The Apprentice and was known in America for being a billionaire. I really wasn't into the show and hadn't paid much attention to Trump in general. I thought that sure enough someone else would have won.
The whole year of 2016 when indeed Trump would be running a lot of my friends and I just couldn't really take him seriously. The hate he spoke from his mouth surley told most of Americans that this land of the free was really the land of hate.
When it was said that Trump was elected as our president the hate increased in America. And I mean increased. Americans began to kinda look at each other differently. The hate crimes increased. Now it seems that a lot of white people suddenly became racist.
When I leave my home I leave in fear. Am I going to a target of a hate crime today? I tell you right now, what a terrible time it is to be an American what was once known the land of the free and now the land of hate.
