In Oslo it's been snowing for days! Finally we've had a little break from the snowfall and was able to enjoy the extremely soft 10 plus inches that's fallen from the sky. We only have a short 5 min drive to good cross country slopes in Østmarka. Cross country skiing is as much fun as it is a good workout and we met quite a few people our 12,5 miles route. Fortunately the slopes are lit as its pitch black after 16pm these days! Hopefully this snow will last the entire winter! Sorry for the pixelated photos, only had my phone on me.

So christmas in LA is so over the top and of course Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills is no exception! However compared to the the rest of the christmas decorations in LA the display in Beverly Hills is so good, I just want to eat it! They have decorated with cute christmascandy everywhere, gifts and clean white lights. And ofcourse there will be no christmas without the flying Santa! Even though the americans are taking the decorations to a max, my mind is far from the christmasmood it should be in a few weeks before christmas. I think i have to get my butt back to Norway, see my family and friends, sit by the fireplace and go for som cross country skiing! Norway, you better bring the snow!

Today we´ve been strolling down Melrose collecting lots of inspiration from the fantastic shops located there. We had lunch at one of my favorite cafes, Urth Cafe. It is always busy and the food is sooo good and healthy! My favorite must be the tostada salad, you should try it! The weather is perfect these days, not too hot and not too cold, just perfect for jeans and a thin sweater. Got to enjoy it before i have to go back to the winter back home in Norway.

Been feeling a bit under the weather the last few days. This weather, switching from hot to cold and back again does not suit my temperature and left me with a sore throat and blocked nose. Last night we went for a few drinks at the amazing Soho House followed by more drinks, friends and bowling at the Spare Room. A great nigh that nearly left me without a voice. Can´t wait to feel like myself again! Having a quiet evening home tonight to give my body a chance to recover whilst watching my new obsession, White Collar, can´t believe i´ve not started to watch this years ago!

I love Venice beach, it got such a vibrant vibe! The place is filled with music, strange people, crazy shops and streetart. There is so much to look at and as i love people watching this is the ideal place. You just got to look past all the homelass, dirt and smoke... In Venice you can visit the skate park bu the beach or the infamous Muscle Beach where huge guys are strutting aroud.. One of my favorite rooftops bars is located in Venice Beach at the Edwin Hotel. The view is amazing, especially at sunset! <3

Black Friday, black outfit. We checked out the Black Friday sale at the Beverly Center today. Big disappointment! As usual, at sales, I did not end up with anything as the things I wanted was not reduced! :) Did see en awful lot of people thoygh! Usually you only see the odd fellow shopper at the Beverly Center, but today they were everywhere! The best thing about today was the Fatburger we had for dinner whilst watching the crazy Housewives of Beverly Hills. Totally exhausted from all the drama on the show, and kind of thinking that my life is pretty good after all!! Happy Weekend!

This is probably the best and least busy hike in LA. It´s not a fireroad trail and parts of it is hard as f***! It starts at Wonderview Dr. which warns you that there is no acess to the Hollywood sign from this road. This is total BS ofcourse! The beginning of the trail is steap and takes you to the Wisdom Tree with an amazing 360 view!! This is the only tree that survived the huge fire in the Hollywood Hills back in 2007 it´s pretty amazing! You can also leave a little wish-note in one of the tin boxes by the tree before following the traverse over Cahuenga peek to Mount Lee with the Hollywood sign. I´ve hiked this trail without meeting anyone on the way and that says a lot for LA! The best time to go is early in the morning before it gets too hot, but still bring lots of water! This is a must for anyone wisiting or living in LA! Just love it! <3

Sunrise at the Wisdom Tree <3

After finishing the hike it´s not far do drive to one of the best Hollywood sign outlooks. And with the right friends the photos can get quite funny!

Out and about in my neighbourhood in West Hollywood between study sessions. Sometimes I just have to get out and clear my head before going at it again. Ended up at Starbucks and got my favorite Salted Caramel Mocca Frappuchino with soy.. Just too good to pass up!
