Diary questions 4:

You wanted a peek of the book, so here's the first sentence: Ellie Haworth spies her friends through the throng and weaves her way through the bar.

The novel The Last Letter from Your Lover have a first-person point of view. Even though there are more than one main character and you still get to follow their point of view through the story. The meaning of a first-point of view is that the story is told through a characters own point of view, as you probably can tell by its name. The narrative voice that the author use is called the character voice, which is common especially with first- and third-person point of view. With the character voice the narrator is a more relatable, realistic character and who may or may not be involved with the actions of the story.

The novel takes place in London year 1960 and in the present which is in 2003.

Diary questions 3:

I know you've been dying to know more about the author. So I’m here to tell you one or two things about her. Jojo Moyes was born on August 4, 1969, in London where she also grew up. Her real name is actually Pauline Sara-Jo Moyes and she is the only child of James C. Moyes and Elizabeth J. McKee. For the time being she lives at a farm in Essex with her husband and their three children.

Before she became a committed novelist in 2002, she had various careers; for instance, she had a job as a minicab controller and as a brochure writer for Club 18-30. While studding at Royal Holloway, University of London, she worked for the Egham and Staines News.

Since 2002, when her first book Sheltering Rain was released, she has written eleven novels. Last year one of her best selling novels, Me Before You, became a movie sensation all over the world. Her audience age is between 15 and 30, I guess. But I do not doubt that older women and men like to read her books too; they are rather good.

Diary questions 2:
The novel I've chosen is called The Last Letter from Your Lover by the author Jojo Moyes. To be honest I don't really have a clue why I did choose this novel; it pretty much seemed like a good book. Additionally I'm a sucker for cheesy romances.

In the 1960s a lady wakes up at the hospital after a car accident. She soon notices her loss of memory, which causes her a lot of difficulties later on. When times goes by she receives a letter from a long lost lover asking her to leave her husband. In the present which is in 2003, a journalist named Ellie Haworth discovers the same letter and becomes obsessed with the story. Ellie wants to discover how the story ends; if the lady found her happy ending or not, and will she do the same?

Jojo Moyes was born the 4th august 1969 in London. She has been a romance novelist since 2002, when her first book Sheltering Rain was published. Jojo has won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award from the Romantic Novelists' Association twice.

The book The Last Letter from Your Lover has around 500 pages. I'm going to have to read 80 pages per week. The thing is, I don't really like to read when I feel forced, but I’ll try. Wish me luck!

This year I voted for the novel: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

The reason was: I don't know, the novel seemed good.

The novel I have chosen: The Last Letter from Your Lover

The reason is: Beacuse of the author Jojo Moyes;she wrote a book called Me Before You which became a success.
