Yesterday, me and a colleague arranged a Christmas party for our other colleagues. We had a "Most Ugly Christmas Sweater Competition" and there were many funny creations... Everyone got to nominate the one they thought would win and the colleague in the picture above got the most votes. I really like her ”all-in”-attitude!
When the guests arrived, we offered ”glögg” and snacks (eg. dates with bacon and crustades with camembert and cloudberry jam).
Before the party the guests had given me a fact about themselves they didn’t believe so many others knew about them. I had printed them all on a paper and while they had snacks they mingled around and asked questions to each other trying to figure out who the fact was about. They were not allowed to ask "direct" questions but ask things around the facts to figure out who it was about.
After the mingle the guests were divided into three teams. The first thing the team had to do was to prepare a presentation about the team with a rhyme on the team name and the presentation would include the facts that matched those in the team.
While the teams prepared the presentations, we made the tacobuffé redy.
During the dinner the teams had their presentations and I had also made pamphlets with Christmas songs that we sang.
For dessert we had made saffrancheesecake (recipe from ICA: https://www.ica.se/recept/fryst-cheesecake-med-saffran-722867/).
We didn’t only have the ”Sweater Competition” we also had other games and competitions including a music quiz and a gift game.
We'll see if this is going to be a tradition, I certainly had lots of fun. Lovely company and lots of good laughter. It's really the guests who make the party!
