Even tough I'm actually doing the craziest activities of my life here in South Africa, I didn't expect that I will be jumping from the world highest bungee in the world in Bloukrans! 216m high of adrenaline flying down to the river, and up, and down again... πŸ™Œ πŸ™… πŸ™† But before the jump, even the walk to the bungee area is already horrible, just because of feeling the high under your feet!

If you're still alive after the bungee, you get a certificate of your jump, but you have to pay extra money for pictures and the video (around R300 = CHF 25.-). For the price (only R850, around CHF80.-), this is a "must do" in South Africa!

After visiting the farmers market, we are then heading to an orphaned elephants sanctuary where you can interact with them like giving them food, touch them, walk with them and for some extra money, you even can ride them! Unforgettable experience as you've probably never been that close to elephants! 🐘 πŸƒ 😁

To begin this 2nd day, we are visiting the Wild Oats Farmer's Market in Sedgefield. This area is an old style country marketplace, where local producers are selling their good quality products like cheese, fruits, bread, yogurts, vegetables, fresh juices, etc... πŸŽ πŸ… πŸž Don't eat at home and have a breakfast there! You can also have omelette, sausages, eggs, and hotdogs there! πŸ³ πŸ΄

As a new weekend is coming, we are leaving Cape Town for 3 days to discover different faces of South Africa! Leaving the town really early in the morning, our first stop was at a safari lodge for a game drive inside a reserve. We were able to observe the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) and some other species like zebra, hippo, ostrich, giraffe, antelope, etc... 🐘 🐯 🐴

After the Safari Game Drive, I ate my first kudu sandwich (kind of antelope but the meat tastes like beef). Then we arrived at our house for the next few days in Sedgefield, with braai (BBQ in Afrikaans) and big swimming pool! 🏊

We booked the 3 days Garden Route trip with Cape Xtreme for around CHF 300.- with dorm and food included, quite cheap price for that kind of excursion.

Special blog post for a special place. Simply my favorite bar in Cape Town : "Neighbourhood" in Long Street! This bar just offers awesome specials like 2 cocktails for 1 (around CHF 3.50), Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 7pm. If you go to Neighbourhood please try the best (and very alcoholic) cocktail ever, the Long Street Ice Tea! 🍸 It also has nice food and starter like the delicious curly fries 🍟 and the vegan nachos! 25% on all food every Monday all day long!

Another nice bar in Long Street is the "Beerhouse". More than 100 different beers 🍺🍺🍺 and ciders like the famous Savanna Dry or my new favorite cider Koppaberg (thanks to my Swedish friends).

Our Sunday bar (yes, we had one bar per evening, even more πŸ™…) is situated at the corner of Kloof Nek Road and Bruitengracht Street. You can't miss the big "Rafiki's" panel on the balcony! It's a really "to chill" bar, with the crazy big Margarita jar! 1/2 price everyday 'til 6pm and all day Sunday! And by the way, rafiki means "beloved friends" in Swahili, so one more reason to have a good time with your friends there!
