Poetry has intrigued me, for as long as I can remember. More precisely, this obsession comes down to the core that this art form can say so much and be so little. Poetry can make me feel as if oceans are moving or nations are changing, within me. The author Rupi Kaur makes it all feel possible in her poetry books, milk and honey, as well as, the sun and her flowers.
Her work takes you to a place within yourself. Thus, Kaur's poetry acts like a bridge that can help you get to the obstacle, but in order to overcome it, you must interpret what her words are saying. Generally, I do feel as if poetry is just at its best when the reader is able to fully translate poetry to his/her own personal language. And if it is hard to do so, the reader should start by having an open mind. If you do so while reading any of these poetry novels, you will understand where I'm coming from.
- Now it is time for me to read Timothy Snyder's ON TYRANNY before going to bed. Work is calling tomorrow. I hope you all had an amazing weekend and promise me to sleep well<3
