Hi everyone! I'm back in Denmark!😲 This is probably going to be my last post about my time in Milly, but before I write it, I just want to thank everyone I've met during my 10 months in Georgia, because y'all have made this trip so incredible!
One of my best friends wrote me a letter when he left GCSU in December, and he added a quote from his favorite show 'Doctor Who', it said - "Happy ever after doesn't mean forever. It just means time. A little time". Bryan used the quote to describe the four months we'd been in Georgia together, but it also perfectly describes my 10 months there. I got to experience a Happy Ever After for almost a year, and even though it's over now, it doesn't mean that the experience wasn't the best ever!
This really has been the best experience of my life, and each of you has been a part of making it what it is. I've made so many great friends that it's impossible to mention all of you, but I hope you know that you've made this year better than I could've ever dreamed of! Many of you have become like family, and you will always have a special place in my heart. Some of you I've known from day 1, some of you I've only know for a few months or weeks, some of you I've seen a lot, some a little, and some I didn't really get to know until the end, but every friendship means the world to me, and you've all been a part of making this year so wonderful. So thank you!
Like last semester, I made a video with pictures etc. from the semester! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPsAhTD06h8
Now to the actual post😉
My two last weeks in Milly were full of mixed feelings - I had so much fun at dinners, parties, and get-togethers, but I constantly had the thought of leaving in mind, as I had to pack my bags and say goodbye to my friends.
Two weeks ago the international club had a goodbye dinner and we then held a big party for everyone! At the dinner, we all got to hang out and enjoy each other's company, eat, write letters to each other, and watch a video with pictures from the semester. We had a great night with many laughs (and a few tears).

The week before I went home, my friend Abby brought me to Atlanta for one night, which was a great last trip before going home. We went shopping, to dinner, and to the movies where we watched The Ring. The following day we got up early and went to the Coke museum (the last tourist attraction I needed to see in Atlanta before leaving), and we spent the rest of the time just enjoying Atlanta.
During my last week, I made sure to have lunch and dinner with as many friends as possible, so I had time to say goodbye properly to all of them. Even though saying goodbye is very hard, it was important for me to say goodbye to all my friends, because it's impossible to know when I'll see them all again.

On my last weekend, one of my best friends, Ansley, graduated from GCSU (so proud👏), so she invited me to the ceremony and to her party in Dublin (in Georgia). The ceremony was pretty long, but it was worth it when we got to see Ansley walk down the stage and get her diploma! When it was over, we all drove to her aunt's house, where we had her party and spend the night. The following day, we hung out by the pool, and I got to enjoy the sun (pretty sad about the Danish weather😓). We had such a great time, and I was very happy that I got to be there for her big day!

I really had some amazing last weeks, but they were also two hard weeks. Saying goodbye to your friends is always hard, especially when you've become so close to many of them, that they feel like family. Here are some pictures from some of my last times with people.

It's hard to describe how amazing this life has been, but I have brought so many memories home with me, and I'll always remember this year as one of the best in my life. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my happy ever after! I love you all❤
