I love the ocean. It's always there for me, not caring how I look, what I'm wearing, non of that judgmental crap. Right now I am on a balcony, covered in blankets, watching The Carrie Diaries on Netflix with my sister. , I can SEE the moon's reflection in the water. It is so incredibly peaceful here. "Their" working on a construction thingy, moving sand from the ocean floor to the shore, to "expand the beach" or something. I can't believe Spring Break is almost over. I am not ready for high school to resume! I am too relaxed to become the stressed and crazed high-schooler again. At least I get to let go of my stress for now! Tomorrow we go deep-sea fishing, which I am ridiculously excited for! I need to go, but I'll write later! Kisses!
Closing night of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe was INCREDIBLE!!! The show went amazing, and everyone had so much fun. Last night was my last time performing onstage with some of the seniors. I am going to miss the seniors more than I can possibly describe. They have become some of my greatest friends, and I cannot imagine doing theatre without them. But they aren't leaving yet! We burnt the house down (literally). Towards the end of the show, a curtain caught on fire from one of the lights, but Mr. White was able to quickly put it out with a fire extinguisher. Smoke started to fill the stage, but it looked like fog from a fog machine, so I think that the audience thought that it was intentional. But I mean, come on! How much worse can it get than a fire in a theatre! But despite that, the night was truly memorable. I can scarcely believe that it was closing night. The story of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe has always been very close to my heart, I am so glad that I was able to be a that I have had the incredible opportunity to share this wonderful and beautiful story with others. So goodbye Narnia. I love you with all my heart.
"And that, perhaps, is the deepest magic of them all."
I love my Wood Nymph Crew! Hearts!
I always forget how invigorating opening night is. Last night was my second one as a part of troupe 1096. I play a wood nymph in our production of the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. the idea that our director (winchester) came up with for the set is incredible. The backdrop/walls are covered in typewriter script, with sections from the book. The entire set looks like it popped out of a book. There are 6 trees on the mainstage, with 3 on each side. the heights of those trees incrfease as they go upstage. my "officail" tree is the downstage/stage left tree. its cute and squat (like me!) and I like it. i'm developing an attachment to it i think. sidestage left is the "white witch's outer courtyard", and sidestage right is the "beaver's home". This troupe has become some of the close friends i've ever had, and I don't know how i could've survived without them. I am so glad that i was able to be a part of troupe 1096, and i can't wait to perform in the coming productions with my new-found family.
