"Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle." – Trailer description.

If you're looking for a new horror movie to watch, surprisingly enough, would recommend Annabelle: Creation! Especially if you disliked the first Annabelle movie. In the second movie they sure did step up their game and made the Annabelle movie that I've been waiting for since the first The Conjuring movie. What made me dislike the first movie was that they didn't make it on a "the conjuring level" of scary. In fact, I didn't find it scary at all more than when the pregnant lady fell in the beginning of the movie, and this comes from a person who hates dolls. The script for Annabelle: Creation was definitely better suited for a horror movie based on a demonic doll in my opinion. Dolls = kids, and they can be pretty frightening in horror movies.

Besides that the script was spot on, the actors was better than expected! Since the movie is centered around a group of orphan girls around the age of 9 to 16, you never know how the acting of child actors could be. Lulu Wilson and Talitha Bateman, who portrayed Linda and Janice, the two girls I would say was the main characters in the movie, did an excellent job! It wasn't too much, nor too little of acting.

I don't want to write too much about the movie, since I feel like you could easily ruin a good horror movie that way. Watch it, and see for yourself if it frightens you or not.

"The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape." – Foxmovies.com

"Wow!", that's one word I would describe my reaction after I left the cinema. I sure did love this movie, everything from the CGI, storyline to binding together it with the previous movie "Prometheus".

I'm a big fan of the Alien-franchise, as well as I'm one of those who really loved Prometheus. I was beyond excited when they announced they would make a sequel to Prometheus, since I fell in love with how they told the story of how "alien" came to life. Although, I have to admit when I saw the trailers I was slightly disappointed. I got the feeling that the movie wouldn't continue on the story where they left off.

I couldn't be more wrong. As much as the movie had its own story, it still manage to answer the questions you had left from Prometheus! I don't want to give away too much, but the biggest question I think all of us had after Prometheus was "what happened to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw?" Well, if you watch the movie you will find out. Personally I think Alien: Covenant was the best way to continue the story of Prometheus and how the Alien-franchise really came to life.

As for actors and CGI, I'm pleased with both parts. But I would say CGI took home the prize. Most of the actors you've seen before and they're not bad as well as they're not the best. Although the CGI, damn I was pleased. I'm a sucker for the gore, blood and guts, and I got as much as I was expecting! In the end, Alien: Covenant is a movie worth watching and I highly recommend it!

"Set to the backdrop of 'Awesome Mixtape #2,' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand." - Marvel Studios

It's been almost a week since I saw Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 for the first time...!

By the fact that I've seen the movie twice already, I guess it's quite obvious that I loved the movie. As expected. I may be a tiny bit biased since one of my favourite directors and writers, James Gunn, once again stood behind the script and directed Gotg vol.2.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is a perfect continuation of the first movie and I feel that if you watched the two movies after each other it would give you the feeling of a 5 hours movie. Even though I loved the second volume, I have to admit I was sceptical and felt disappointed the first 15 minutes of the movie. I don't want to write any spoilers, but let me say that what you saw in the trailers came faster than expected and that's what made me sceptical. Although, as the movie continued, slowly but steady the plot began to evolve and become something now I can say love even more. The trailers gives away nothing of what's going to happen in the end, and it made me happier than ever!

Besides that the plot turned out incredible, the new characters that they introduced blew my expectations and honestly I think this is where I fell even harder for the second movie than I did for the first Guardians Of The Galaxy. The main two characters they introduced were Ego and Mantis.
Ego (the living planet) is the cinematic father to Peter Quill (Star-Lord). I was quite sceptical because in the comics J'Son Of Spartax is the father of Quill, and Ego the living planet is in itself a giant egocentric planet. But by the script and changes made by James Gunn and the amazing acting by Kurt Russell, Ego became a whole other character to me and MCU.

For Mantis, I can't say I had any expectations. Her character didn't have much space in the trailers and I wouldn't say you build a good picture of Mantis through them, which is a good thing here. She blew me away! Mantis was hysterical, cute and innocent in a way we haven't seen in the Guardians yet.

Weither you liked the first movie, or wants a movie filled with space adventures with hilarious characters.. and where one character is a talking raccoon and another is a talking tree. I highly recommend you to watch Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2!

In this list we'll not include any Marvel movies, I'll do a separate list for it in the future. Here's three of my favourite "non-superhero"-movies!

Frank – 2014
"A hopeful musician named Jon joins an eccentric pop band led by an eccentric creative mastermind named Frank, who conceals his true identity beneath a giant paper mache head. Frank supposedly adheres rigorously to the ethos of making music purely for the joy of doing it, but as Jon's influence in the band grows, Frank proves to be capable of a less-enlightened view." – Cammila Collar, Rovi.

I don't know why or how this movie actually became one of my favourite movies of all time. It could be that one of my favourite actors (Michael Fassbender) plays an interesting character who spends the whole movie wearing a giant papier mache head, while he express himself through the music. It may sound that Frank is one of the extremely weird movies, though I would say this movie has a deeper meaning to it more than being weird and funny. I don't want to write too many details about the movie as I feel that this is one of the movies you need to form your own opinion of instead of reading what someone else thinks.

Jurassic Park – 1993
"During a preview tour, a theme park suffers a major power breakdown that allows its cloned dinosaur exhibits to run amok.." – Imdb.

I probably didn't need to include the plot summary. I'm sure most of you knows about Jurassic Park and what it's about. Jurassic Park has for a very long time been one of my favourite movies and I guess it's because I've been quite interested in the history of dinosaurs... And one of my "dreams" would be to become a paleontologist. Yes, I know I'm a giant nerd.

Despicable Me – 2010
"When a criminal mastermind uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds their love is profoundly changing him for the better." – Imdb.

To be honest, I'm still a kid at heart. I love animated movies and apparently the yellow creatures (which seems like 99% of the popularity of the world hates) would make me fall hard and laugh until I lied on the floor crying. In a way I would say Despicable Me is my one and only guilty pleasure movie, although I'm not keeping it as a secret. What can I say, I should probably grow up, but to be honest it's funniest to be a child sometimes and laugh at yellow creatures.

Yes, I know I'm a geek who only writes about the upcoming Marvel movies. But what can I do? I am a geek.

So, Marvel released the first 'Teaser' trailer of the final Thor movie! If I'm going to be completely honest with you all... I'm more excited about Hela's movie debut more than anything else. I've only read a few comics where Hela makes an appearance, but I've loved those moments more than I thought! For those who's not familiar to Hela, in the Nordic mythology she's the goddess of Helheim, also known as the kingdom of death. Since Thor is based of the Nordic mythology she has the same role in the move and comics.... but might be slightly evil.

Okay, I need to stop writing about Hela. I'm sure you've got the feeling that I'm excited for her character appearance. Otherwise, I do think the trailer looks quite epic! I read a few comments on the youtube video and it seems like more people are upset that neither Thanos or Doctor Strange made an appearance in the trailer. In my case, I'm pretty sure they'll make one in the upcoming 3 or 4 other trailers. Maybe I should add that neither of those character does have a "big roll" in the Ragnarok plot from what I've read. I guess those who left the comments will be slightly upset later on.

It's only 20 days left until the premiere of Guardians Of The Galaxy vol. 2!
I'm beyond excited for this movie since Guardians Of The Galaxy is my favourite comic of all time... I mean if you've been following me for a while you probably knew this already. It's not like I have a tattoo of one of the characters on my arm... nope, not at all a geek.

I might have a slight obsession with Guardians, but I have to say what I'm most excited about this movie is the new characters and the presentation they'll make of Peter Quill's father! As well as the character developing between the first and second movie.

After many teasers of the cast and pictures of the iconic horror character... they finally released the official trailer for the upcoming remake of "IT"!!

As much as I hate clowns I have to say I need to watch this movie. I know, I'm weird but to my defence when there's only two movies that have scared the sh*t out of me through the years I need to know if the remake will be as scary as the first one.

What I can say from watching the trailer, it seems to be quite amazing! Not only that the design of Pennywise is brilliant, the colors of the photos and the way they have recorded the whole thing is gorgeous and just the type of movie I would fall for to watch. In other words I'll be watching IT on the premiere day in September.

Yesterday Netflix released their new Tv-series "Iron Fist". Which I've been quite excited about for some time, and now I've finally seen the first episodes!

For those who don't know anything about Iron Fist, it's based on the Marvel comic book character Daniel 'Danny' Rand, a man who was raise by munks in K'un Lun after he lost his parents in a plane crash. The Munks taught him martial arts and a mystical power known as the "Iron Fist".
After 15 years in K'un Lun, he returns to New York to seek parts of his past which starts at the family company, The Rand Corporation.

From the few episodes I've seen I can say I love the show! There's quite some epic fighting scenes that includes both male as well as female character, which is a big thumbs up from my side. I've fallen in love with a specific female character, but I'm not giving that away. Besides all the fighting, since it's a Marvel of course there's humour, although not as humoristic as in the Jessica Jones-series.

In other words, I highly recommend this show! Even though I haven't seen the whole season yet, I still find it hard stop myself from watching the next episode.

May contain some small spoilers of the movie!
If you're sensitive to spoilers, I recommend you to watch the movie first and read the blog post afterwards.

"In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces." – IMDB.

As the geek I am, of course I saw the premiere of the last Wolverine movie in the trilogy, "Logan – The Wolverine".

Let's start the post with giving a big applause to James Mangold, this movie is brilliant and I was speechless when I left the theaters.

If I would describe ‘Logan’ in a sentence I would say: It’s an action and emotional-filled movie with plot twists we needed to get the perfect end to the trilogy of Wolverine. This movie had everything we need. The soundtrack, the photograph and actors did an extraordinary job, especially Dafne Keen who played Laura (X-23). She was out of expectations and what I think, captured the character’s personality on point.

When it comes to comic references of the movie I not sure I can give my expression of it since I haven’t read enough of Old man Logan nor about Laura (X-23) and her story. Although, I did a little research specifically about Laura, and from what I’ve read, the movie captures her origin quite well with some adjustments for the plot of the movie.

In my opinion, I have to say ‘Logan’ is the best movie in the trilogy. In the other two movies, I’ve always felt that they didn’t capture the “true” personality of Wolverine, and in Logan we see the aggressive, bitter, drinking Wolverine that we read about in the comics.
