Who could have thought that a 40 square meter apartment fits that much crap?!
Thought that this would be easy as since we already shipped our furnitures over a couple of weeks ago but na. My parents loaded the car full of boxes, bags, clothes, shoes, you name it, everything that could possibly fit. My VERY BEST friends showed up, with a vacuum cleaner. A few hours later and we were done! Why do you never do a cleaning like this while you actually living there?! Anyway, we did it over a bottle of wine and it's now spotless!
Ended the evening at Björns Bar with meat and cheese tasting platter and a few more wines. The very perfect Saturday!

If you may wonder what to do with a apartment when you leave for long term we decided to keep it since I own it, the market keeps reaching the top here I Gothenburg and it's a good way to invest your money. Make sure you're doing it legal and talk things through with your
Landlord. Quit all your contracts such as tv, broadband, electricity, home insurance and so on IN TIME since most of them have three months cancelation period. Make sure you're doing well described contract what's included and what fees there will be if something happens. In Sweden you need a separate insurance if you're the owner of the apartment and the person who's renting it, in my case my best friend need a different one.

26th of november, only a month left, and a few days from December. Time has gone to fast the last two months and I haven't had a minute over to realise it. All the things that had to be done! Even tho I think I've done most of the things by now. All appointments with doctors, dentist, the bank and so on.
This weekend we're moving out from our apartment, into mom and dads for the last couple of weeks and to be honest, it feels good!
My besties helping me this afternoon over a bottle of wine, how can I possibly find anyone like you when I'm gone?

I will show you some pictures this week from the move and quality time with family and friends!

Of course I panicked when I first got that email about xray and shit. I also felt like everything has been against us lately but after being in contact with other Swedes that were told to do the same they all gave me the same answer, do it, pay for it and receive your visa. So I did! and it did got granted!!

It's never as easy as it sounds. Neither for me or Tommo. Make sure you renew your passport before applying, asap. It's been to much lately.
As i mentioned Tom has been here for 1,5 years now and it works almost identical to Australian visas, you get one year work and holiday visa for free. Then you have to apply for sponsor visa, partnership visa or other loopholes that i don't know of. He applied for sponsor visa since he had a work that been willing to do that. Two weeks ago we got a letter saying it's been rejected, and he has to leave within four weeks. Somehow it managed to turn out ok and he's aloud to stay until we leave. Breathe!
For me it's a bit different since i'm applying for student visa (subclass 500). When you get your agreement letter from school you also receive a visa application, sounds easy, "just send in" they said ha! 25 pages later online and a few forms that had to be sorted out it was done! BUT last week i got a letter back saying they want me to do a chest X-ray, take all kind of tests and book a time with a specialist doctor to get my visa approved, and $790 AUD (5400kr) poorer, Stress!

So, last Tuesday we got rid of the furnitures, a big and surreal thing to do. I decided I really wanted to bring it all, stupid i know AND expensive but yes, nothing can really beat Scandinavian design ha! After some research we decided to go with Pearsons, a British international removal company. We did all the paperworks and worked out how many square meters our things would take and the value of it for the insurance.
It takes 10-12 weeks to get there so we had to do it, already. We are now living in a almost empty apartment, but so far so good. Everything went smoothly, they came, packed it themselves and carried it all out while we watched, not laziness, just how they wanted it.
Hopefully everything gets there in time and not in pieces. Cross your fingers!

For whom who might not already know me and the main reason behind this blog, I'll let you be a part of it.

In 2013 i left Sweden for a year in Australia, I ended up in the smallest country town called Gunnedah, the koala capital of Australia. I did exactly the opposite from what "you're suppose to do" when in Australia. But it happens to be the reason why i'm now moving back. I gained my future and soulmate. I went home, against my will and we got through 8 months of distance before he decided to move to Sweden. It's been 1,5 years since then and we've now decided to move back to Australia, for an unknown amount of time.
I've been through a few breakdowns already and having to say goodbye to the main humans in my life ain't going to be easy, but what i do know is that i have the most loving and friendly family in law waiting for me.

The whole reason why i came back to Sweden in the first place was because i had an idea to study, and that didn't work out well ha! It never happened, so i decided to apply in Sydney instead. I now start in February, at Billy Blue College of Design, a bachelor in communication design leaning towards graphics. I went through a organisation namned Studin in Gothenburg, got perfectly good help with all of it, highly recommended!

I will keep you updated about it all. Hope you made it to the end!
