Hey Bloggies.

Long time no see. I came back from the US like two weeks ago and then i was at our beach house where we don't have wifi and THEN i started school so I finally have some down time on this fine Sunday afternoon. Even though this was a little while ago i still wanted to do a little post on our roadtrip. We drove from Chicago to Nashville and stopped in Louisville for a night so here ya go.

On our way to Louisville we encountered the Jim Beam bourbon distillery and it was awesome. We took a tour which lasted a pretty long time. The guide took us all around the property and explained the whole process. There was also a tasting at the end for those of age and you could also make your own personalized bottle (which you had to pay for obvi). But i would highly recommend this place for any and all ages. The tickets are $10 if you are 21 or over otherwise your free!

So when we got to Louisville our first stop was the Louisville Slugger museum. This is where they make baseball bats for most of the Major League teams. We took a tour of their factory as well and that was very good too. At the end we got free mini bats which was pretty nice too. We got dinner at a place called Manny & Merle, which i would also highly recommend. I got a nice southern fried chicken. The rest of the night we walked by the waterfront and then we went down to fourth street. It was generally a really nice quiet city which i will probably return to one day.

See y'all in Nashville,
Ida

Hey Bloggies!

Yesterday we went to the mall and i managed to score some shoes i was looking for only $40 because it was in the kids Footlocker. I am so happy with them.

Today we went to watch Inside Out, the new Pixar movie. I have to say it was probably the most thought out kids movie i have ever watched. But it was a little short for my liking. This is what i wore.

Cardigan: Zara // Dress: Brandy Melville // Shoes: Puma // Bag: Kate Spade

I also finally got my hands on Essie's "Bikini so teeny" nail polish which literally everyone has and its gorgeous! However mine smells like fart when it's being applied.

Tomorrow we are off the Six Flags for the day. I have never been so i am VERY excited.

Hey Bloggies!

This year, like last year i was lucky enough to spend Independence Day in the US, which is always a lively, fun day with an exciting spirit in the air. My family and I went into Chicago to explore. We went into Millenium Park where my brother went rock climbing. Then we went down to the Magnificent Mile which is the shopping street and it was super nice. Chicago was really quiet but it was still a nice warm day.

I had a lot of fun with the snapchat geotags

We came home at around 5 and my parents starting making steak so my brother took some photos of me with the flag to post on instagram. Follow me here

At about 9:30 the fireworks stated at the Arlington Race Course. They show was really good but unfortunately there was a little fire. It was turned about pretty fast though and the fireworks continued. We obviously made smores too. All in all it was a great day.

Hey Bloggies.

Ive spent about a week in Chicago now so i have a little update. We haven't done a whole lot downtown because my dad lives about 30 mins away. But we have been shopping a bit around here and what not. I forgot to bring the  usb cord to my camera so i will only be able to upload iphone pictures but when i get home at the end of July i will do a giant post which all the camera pictures.

I was super jet lagged the first day so i woke up at 5 am and watched the sunrise.

My dad bought bagels, which i havent had in so long. YESSSSS!!!!

We tried twinkies for the first time. They were fine, the cream was really good but the cake was not. Obviously had to burn them off at the gym.

We went to the Weber Grill restaurant on Tuesday for my dad's birthday. There were pretzel buns which i nearly cried about because I LIVE FOR PRETZEL BUNS.

Some things at Millenium Park.

Hey Bloggies!
I actually went on summer break the 19th of June when my last exam ended. We went over to my friend Rose's house and my smores dip which was so good i recommend it to everyone. That weekend me and my friend Vanessa got a lovebox from Parad-is for the first time and it was so good.

My first week of summer i did something everyday which was unusual for me because i usually just sleep and computer. Tuesday was Sankt Hans which a holiday where we burn witches, its really weird but we went to the beach and it was so fun. We ate waffles and two of my friends got super weird if you know what i mean. I got home really late but it was so worth it.

Then on that Friday, there was graduation at my school. In Denmark it is tradition for all the graduates to ride in trucks to everybody's house where their parents have prepared food and drinks. It is also tradition that the first year students decorate these trucks. So me and my friends and some other people in our grade did that.

Saturday morning my aunt drove us to the airport and we flew to London and then Chicago! My dad lives here so we are visiting for a month. Ill update you on our adventures as they happen.

Hey Bloggies!

This past weekend the sun finally came out and I think it is here to stay. Although it was really gloomy today i think it will be warm from now on. Ive never been to the botanical gardens before and we were planning on going to The King's Garden (Kongens Have) but we ended up here instead. It was really nice and fun to look at all the different things. Sadly the greenhouses were closed but they were filled with cacti which i love so hopefully i can see them some other time.
Anyways back to studying for now.

I dont even remember the last time i wrote a blog post. I thought i would be able to keep up the blog this year but school quickly took over my life as we rounded the end of year period. I had my last day of school last Wednesday, my first exam Thursday and then Friday i had to start writing my mini extended essay i practice for the wonderful IB. Its Monday today and i have written 650 words out of 1500 so far so im doing pretty good. Starting next week i will have exams every second day until June 19th so i will be very busy but after that hopefully i can give the blog some love again.
