Space is so interesting. It is so much bigger than us. We are smaller than ants in comparison to space. And imagine how small ants are to space! People think that space is empty, but there is actually a lot out there. Other planets, stars, moons, other rocks and balls of fire, and maybe even other life forms. And that's only our galaxy! There is even more in space that we have little knowledge on. Okay, I am done being a nerd, for now. -AB

In my previous life, I must've been a flower.
Dancing in the wind, soaking up a shower.
Giving off an aroma of life,
Showing colours as sharp as a knife.
Animals stop by to visit me,
And I share how happy I am being free.
My neighbours are other plants and animals living by,
Sometimes I'll look up and see a bird fly.
One day maybe I'll stand out to someone.
Be picked and carried, and maybe given to someone.
They'll put me in a vase and feed me well,
and in return I'll give their house a good smell.
In nature is where I belong,
But I don't mind change in the song.

Grass grows green in the summer time,
Water mixed with lemon lime.
Lay down your head and feel the earth,
Notice how much nature is really worth.
Now you're looking up at the sky,
The bright sun beaming in your eye.
Imagine you are floating on a cloud,
Up in the sky feeling really proud.
Mother Nature is happy with you,
Love the Earth by the things you do.
You give respect and love all life,
Now there is no need for a strife.
Nearby water rushes down a stream,
As you lay lost in your dream.
Being in nature is who you are,
Can't wait for night to see a star. -AB

Water so warm, water so cold,
This liquid somehow can take a hold.
It pulls me down, it pulls me under,
It pulls me out of my slumber.
Water is the source of all.
It feeds the plants, short and tall.
It supports animals of all kind.
It can even help clear your mind.
Water is life, water is good,
Water is everything that it should.

I itch, I scratch, I stretch, and can barely see. This skin I wear is too tight on me. This may be my body I've had my whole life, but maybe it's a form I just borrow. Sometimes I want to cut it off with a knife, maybe then I can no longer be sorrow. My soul could take a form of its own, defying the laws of nature. It would cry in joy and finish with a moan, "I finally get to be my own creature". My soul would be free, happy, and safe. My feelings, opinions, and mind would no longer chafe. I could be myself, and proud of it too. My colour could be citrine, and would no longer blue.

I know I have made many mistakes in my life, especially in the past two years. But I also know that those mistakes do not define me as who I am as a person. I am human, that means that I am not perfect. What does define me is my true personality, my interests, my passions, and what I did to fix those mistakes I have made. My mistakes do not define me.

I love the trees here on earth. So useful, so kind, so beautiful. Each and everyone is unique in its own way. Not only do they support themselves here on earth, but they support every oxygen breathing animal here with us. Isn't that amazing? When the sun beams on your face, and you look to your side to see the one you love, while feeling the grass in-between your toes. Now that, that is what I call being happy.

Here I sit alone once more, to meditate down to my core. Become more peaceful and be calm, as I roll these crystals in my palm. Love thy neighbours in the wild, for they are also someone's child. The mother of all creatures and plants that grow, she is not thy enemy or thy foe. She is magic and she is kind, always keep that in your mind. So be happy and be free, for Mother Nature grew that tree.

I'm a wild soul trapped in a world of suffering.
Silence falls over valleys so sudden, while you stare into eyes swollen and sunken.
So close your eyes dear, these scary dreams are only temporary.
Capture, treat, and love your own mind, body and soul. Because a peaceful mind equals a peaceful life.
Do what you do best, as long as doing that is what you want. Maybe what others see as your best is not interpreted the same way in your seat.
Your mind is as free as a bird, you're noticing everything at a new altitude and you suddenly lose control. You fall onto an Island, lost and confused. You’ve never seen birds like these before, and you take notice of how alone and different you are compared to everyone else. But once you learn how to fly again, you can learn how to find your own people.

Lately I've been thinking about getting more involved with saving the Earth. I mean, of coarse I do the normal easy things to avoid doing, like not littering, saving water bottles, saving water and electricity, recycling bottles (mostly for spare money as a broke child), and more of the like. But I want to be known as someone who respects and loves the Earth, someone who might make a difference. Maybe not a huge difference, but something. I think I am going to start by making a student organization at Oakland University dedicated to Saving Mother Earth. I would like to do events like recycling, avoiding plastic and paper waste, feeding the homeless, helping stray animals, picking up litter, going on nature hikes, planting trees and spreading other types of life, and so forth. Doing good like this with my neighbours on earth there hand and hand to join me in celebration of our planet. I feel like these actions will help me connect more with the place I live.
