Hiya. This morning has been really nice, and it's not even 9am yet! My building is quite close to a river, so I decided to go out and have a little sit. The sun was still coming up, I had Alex Turner's voice ringing in my ears with a cigarette in hand. What bliss.

Even though I'm absolutely dreading work this afternoon, I feel like I got a really good start to the day. Anyway. Must get on with my day; I have V-Day things to wrap and eyebrows to draw on.

Have a lovely day x

Since I am absolute shite when it comes to actually blogging, and not just thinking about blogging, I thought I'd borrow an idea from a blogger I follow. It's basically a little shindig of writing down 5 happy or positive things about your life right now. So here we gooooooooo

1. Payday- I've been paid today! After literally having £8 in my account due to my lack of self control, I was very happy to log into my bank this morning and see a normal amount of money in there! Woohoo!! MONEYYY

2. Grey's Anatomy- Okay, perhaps Grey's isn't happy, per se, but it recently got taken off of Amazon Prime. (AMAZON WHAT THE FUCK????) But hooray, we've found a way to watch it on American Netflix now, so we're finally back to our routine! Yay!

3. Free food- I work at a food place thing (idk if theres some kinda legal thing in mentioning where you work??) so I get free staff meals! This means I sometimes don't have to pay for tea :-)

4. Skin- My skin may not be perfect, but it's feeling pretty good at the moment! I've actually been able to keep a pretty solid skincare routine going, which is definitley helping methinks! Woop!

5. Valentine's Day- Soz, this may be a tad obvious this time of year, but I'm really looking forward to it! Even though I have a nagging feeling that the restaurant I booked is going to be crap (-will report back on that), it's just going to be really nice.

Well, I've got wet hair and not a lot of time, so I best be off. Hope alls good with yallzzzz. x

And by haul, I mean 3 items. Because holy shit, these three items came to a whopping £102. One-hundred-and-two bloody pounds. I did have the help of both a £50 MAC voucher and a £20 Debenhams voucher, but still. Wow. Anyway, on with the haul.

I got the MAC Warm Neutrals x15 palette (!!), MAC Fix+ and the MAC 217 brush. (Yes I used the brush before taking pics lol)

I love the palette, would marry the brush, but I'm still not sure how I feel about the Fix+. Since I've been into makeup I've seen people rave their arse off about Fix+, but so far I'm not amazed. Did I just spend £20 on piss water? I'm not sure.

Look at these colours. Look at them. The third one from the left top row is to die for. It contrasts with the greenish tints to my eyes so well. I die.

Left to right: Hey, Warm Breeze, Gingersnap, Dark Brew, Dance in the Dark, Brule Vanilla Extract, Honey Lust, Amber Lights, Saddle, Lemon Tart, Butterfudge, Creative Copper, Unwind and Divine Decadence.

The shadows all have beautiful finish, wear well and blend impecably. Stunning.

//

All in all, I'm super happy, especially as I only spent £32 of my own money. Anyway, I'm going to go and pester my boyfriend for attention beacuse he's been playing Fallout for literally close to 3 hours. :-) Love you babe<3333333

Hey ho! As it's almost mid-december (scary), Spotify have started doing their 'Your Year In Music' feature. I did this a couple years ago I think, but I forgot last year, so thought I'd share it this year!

This is completely accurate- I had just discovered prog type things in October of 2014, and Magnolia was a massive hit with me. I even own it on vinyl, as I just love that album and The Pineapple Thief that much,

Top artist of this year overall... Not sure how to feel about MCR being number 1, as MCR is my sad music. With a lot of goodbyes and tears at bus stations, I think there's no wonder MCR is up there. Definitely not surprised by NWA being a top artist either, haha! Been a massive favourite for me this year.

As I said, NWA is no surprise. It's been an obsession. 177 times though?? I may need to calm down... The Vikings is a weird one; I only ever listened to the one song to get me to go to sleep... Not the whole album. Hmm. Shoutout to Placebo though.

Ah, Pure Morning. I've absolutely loved Placebo again this year. I've been a long time fan, but I've picked it up again. These five songs are some of my favourite songs anyway, so this all makes sense. Especially Suicidal Tendencies.

Yep, yep and yep. Groove metal is no shocker- this year has been a lot of Lamb of God, Mastodon, DevilDriver and Sepultura, so there you go.

This is crazy to me. This doesn't even count music from Youtube, vinyl or cd's. How crazy.

How???????????? I don't think I could even name 50 off the top of my head. Fucking crazy.

Also, how??

Again, with the Vikings album... Literally only 1 track I listened to, lol. But winter was indeed Megadeth heavy. \\\\\\\\mm\mmm//////

Super doops accurate.. Don't know why MCR is in literally every stat though, lol. I guess I really did listen to a lot of them?

ba da da da daaaaa, it's the motherfucking D R E (dr dre mother fuckeeeer) Accurate af.

Absolutely right. The Weeknd are a longtime love of mine, and since he's been played so much recently, I really got back into him. I absolutely adore Beauty Behind The Madness, and it encouraged me to pick up The Trilogy again. That dude's voice is something else. And yeah, been on that Lana ting recently haha.

Anyway, that was it. It's so interesting to go back and look at things like this, because music is so subconscious in a way? I don't know. Basically, this was cool, I had fun. Haha. You can find your year in music HERE.

A few days ago, I got these in the post and I think I may have shed a slight tear. I've owned some Lime Crime in the past, but laid them to rest after the whole scandal. At this point I don't care about the whole thing- I'm sure the owners of all the other brands I buy from are shady as fuck. Anyway, I'm really pleased with my purchase so thought I'd share!

//

I've had two Velvetines in the past, but I wanted a different colour this time, so I went for 'Cashmere'. Yes, the famous ''greige''. I must say, it really is gorgeous. It's like a pale mauve, but it does come up rather dark on me as I'm quite light. It wears so well. It's drink, dick and food proof, so how can you go wrong??? It doesn't flake, it stays put... I'm in love. Couldn't ask for more.

//

Now, as for the Venus palette. Firstly, I did not pay full price for this, even though I was a mere 5 hours or so away from doing so. I was randomly on the site for the first time in ages and had these bits in my basket, but decided not to as it was a bit pricy. As I went about my day at work being proud of myself for not buying them, I recieve an email from Lime Crime saying that the Venus palette was half price. RIP ME. As soon as I got home I made my order. Lolz.

Anyway, the palette is just fucking beautiful. I feel like these are all colours that I've been missing from my collection- I never quite had these sort of colours, and it was always really annoying being just off of creating my ideal look. Well, now I have them. I can't find anything to complain about; the shadows blend easily, they stay on well without a primer, they are so pigmented, they are quite largely sized for a palette, they all go well together in one look... the list goes on. There is not a thing I am dissatisifies with. Plus, the packaging is ridiculously pretty. Absolutely love everything to do with it.

The pictures really don't do the colours justice. So pretty.

//

Anyway, I best get my face on so I'll be off.

Hello! So it's been ages since I've blogged bla bla bla. I'm just going to get straight back into it with a beauty/makeup tag, because I'm really feeling the love for makeup at the moment again, which is nice.

1. Do you remember your first makeup item?

Not really 100%- anything I had when I was younger was shit that my mum had used and was going to get rid of. Needless to say, early experimentation was... different, as me and her are very different in our skin colour, lol. The first thing I bought was probably a Maybelline mascara, I remember religiously using those for a couple of years.

2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found the one that fits your specifications?

Oh my god, have I. I'm hashtag blessed to have found my hands down fav mascara at 17, aha. I need jet black product, a flexible, thin and plastic wand, and it must lengthen and volumize. MAC's In Extreme Dimension mascara satisfies my every lash need.

3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation?

I'm probably on the medium to heavy side of things. I, unfortunately, have redness, spots, acne scarring, hyper pigmentation etc etc, so I like to cover that shit up. Basically, if a foundation moves on my hand, it just ain't the 1.

4. Favourite high end brand?

I'm really not well versed in high end, as I've found a lot of what I need in semi-affordable to affordable products. But MAC is what I seemingly use a lot of these days- they're high end ish, right?

5. What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven't?

SO MANY. Jeffree Star, SugarPill, Lunatick Cosmetics, NYX, YSL, Black Moon Cosmetics, NARS, Wet 'N Wild, Jordanna, Milani, Kat Von D... The list goes on.

6. Favourite drugstore brand?

Hmm. There's not many I'm really in love with, but Rimmel definitely deserves a lot of love. Their lip liners are heaven. Sleek are absolutely amazing, too.

7. Do you wear fake eyelashes?

No, not really. I absolutely adore the look of them when I have worn them, but they're so fiddly to me. So, unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately for my wallet, I don't really wear them.

8. Is there any kind of makeup you can't leave the house with?

Not reeeeeally. I definitely can and will leave the house without my face done, but I certainly prefer to. Must have makeup is my lashes and brows. And preferably some foundation. And contour. And highlight. And lipstick...

9. What is your most cherished beauty product?

A permenant favourite is my MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10, just because it's the best suited foundation to my face. But I must say, my new Lime Crime Venus Palette is really making me emosh.

10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once?

I'm definitely a 'here and there' person. My boyfriend may not think so, but I never go out or online and spend like £50+ at once. I pick up stuff that I need, and the occasional other bits and bobs if there are offers on.

11. Do you have a ''beauty budget'' or do you spend freely?

I mean, every penny is somewhat budgeted, however frivilous it may seem to others. I don't have a set budget for anything, but I know roughly how much money I'm getting every payday, and what else I'll need to pay for, so budgeting is all a rough estimate in my head.

12. Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics?

Not really. In the UK, there isn't as much of a ''couponing'' culture, as there really just isn't a lot. I make sure to take advantage of sales if they're relevant to what I need/want, and always make sure to rack up points on my rewards cards whenever I buy at Boots or Superdrug.

13. What type of product do you buy the most of?

Definitely lip products. My face products never change, so I like shaking things up with different lips.

14. Is there a brand you absolutely can't stand?

Superdrug's own range is absolutely fucking appalling for what they charge for their stuff. I've never felt more robbed by a brand except for then- what a piss take.

15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens of sulfates?

Lmao. If I did, I'm sure I'd have better skin. But alas, no, I really can't bring myself to part with any of my beloved stuff haha.

16. Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?

I really like Boots, as they usually have some good deals on. But I generally prefer online makeup shopping, just because the range we have in the UK is embarassing when you look at places like Ulta and Sephora in America.

17. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?

I really like trying new stuff, but it never ends well. My skin reacts to EVERYTHING in a breakout of spots, so at this point I remove my makeup with baby wipes and give it a light scrub about once a week. Such a pain in the arse.

18. Favourite bath and body brand?

No idea what that even is.

19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?

Oh my. It would probably have to be MAC, just so I could have a perfect base everyday, even though I think their lip and eye products are boring as fuck. Hmm.

20. What brand do you think has the best packaging?

Honestly, Lime Crime's packaging makes me squeal like a little pig in mud. It's fun and so pretty.

21. Which celebrity always has great makeup?

I must admit I like a lot of the Kylie Jenner makeup fad, but that's really it. My look isn't really synonymous with celebrities.

22. Do you belong to any online makeup communities?

Apart from Instagram and lurking /r/makeupaddiction once in a while, no, not really.

23. 5 favourite beauty gurus.

Drac Makens, Michael Finch, Sam & Nic, Carly Humbert, Linda Hallberg. So much love.

24. Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains?

NOPE. ''Multifunctional'' products are always shit from my experience. I'm not on about using blush as eyeshadow or whatever, obviously that's cool. Just stains and shit- nah fam.

25. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

No- at this point I've practiced so much that things tend not to go wrong. Sometimes my eyeliner gets a little bit dodgy, but I can usually fix it.

26. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?

Not particularly, it's expensive so I can't be bothered. I mostly just throw concealer and face powder on my lids to prep.

27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day?

Depends how long it's been since my last hair wash, which I usually can't remember. Once flies start swarming around my mop I may consider throwing some dry shampoo in.

28. What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?

I don't use a lot of concealer, so always foundation.

29. Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?

I once did a makeup course at college, but I would never pay for a class. I feel like I've come a long way by learning on my own, so the rest of my makeup journey will only continue to develop itself, I think.

30. What do you love about makeup?

Absolutely everything. I like how I can look like I reap souls for a living one day, and look like Snow White the next. I love the versatility, creativity, the process, the fun. Absolutely everything. I'm so glad it's a hobby I have.

Since this is a post completely dedicated to makeup, I thought I'd include some of my fav looks I've done. I hope this was somewhat enjoyable, and if anyone is reading this, feel free to do it as well and comment with a link to your post!

Hello!

It's been a hot minute, hasn't it? As usual, I'm not quite sure why. I just never seem to sit down at my laptop properly, and when I do, I just end up watching crap on Netflix. I've been working a fair bit, so that when I'm not at college, I'm at work, usually. Though I've been having a day off here and there, like today. (And tomorrow, but shh.)

It's half term here, and I've started the week off by finding out that my mum is coming to visit with her partner at the end of November, which I'm really happy about. Since I moved to the UK last November, I've only been to see her in Norway a few times, so it's really nice that she'll be able to come over and see where I'm living. It'll be nice, and I'm excited. (She'll also finally get to meet my boyfriend, who I've been with for just over a year, lol.)

Anyway, today has pretty much consisted of me showering, thus flooding my bathroom, putting my makeup on and writing this blog post. Productive day.

I haven't blogged in exactly two weeks, so I thought I'd kick it off again with a makeup post.

Face: MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW10. Random blusher and contour. MAC MSF in Lightscapade.

Eyes: Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Liner. MAC In Extreme Lash. (very extreme eyes today)

Brows: Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Blackout', with a MAC 266 brush.

Lips: Rimmel 1001 Kisses Lip Liner in 'Cappuccino'.

This is actually the second time doing my makeup today- the first time was before college this morning, and as I left the house without an umbrella (I live in Wales...), I was absolutely soaked through by the time I got to my bus. So I looked like shit, came home, showered, and did it all again. Sigh. Anyway. I digress.

Peace outttt

Now that all my money goes to food, bus fares, necessities and fags (although I'm trying to quit) there's not a lot of cash in the kitty to buy any nice clothes. So, I'm just going to make blog posts about them. Lols. I used to do posts like these on my old blogs, and I like them. It's somewhat calming to scroll through endless pieces. Ah.

Anyway. On with the goods.

DO I EVEN NEED TO EXPLAIN THE TIGHTS??? THEY GLOW IN THE DARK

Never in my life have I owned a pastel pink dress, but dear god do I want one.

ALSO HALLOWEEN

The shoes aren't even realistic, as my feet are annoying and won't squish themselves into strappy shit like these, but a girl can dream. A girl can like shoes.

On that note, I get the fuck off of ASOS before I end up actually spending money. Sigh.

Peace outttt
