One word: WOW....
OK maybe two words: Breath taking!
OK how about a lot of words...
This movie was amazing! So amazing in fact that I saw it twice! I had no doubts in my mind that it would be anything less than its predecessors the only thing I was concerned about was how they would continue filming without Paul.
These films have literally been half of my life with the first one coming out when I was 12 so the whole cast feels almost like an extended family to me.
Throughout the entire film I was on the edge of my seat with my heart in my mouth.
I honestly can't describe how good this film was. I had read a while ago someones opinion of it saying that it was too busy and action filled to which I responded "What did you expect? It's a Fast & Furious movie!". So when I saw the film myself I was already prepared for an abundance of action and I found as the film went on that it worked really well and wasn't excessive at all!
I won't give anything away for those who've not seen it but the camera angles and special effects throughout all of the action scenes was amazing and so well done.
I will say that this film isn't good for people like me who've been there since the beginning, it brings out so many emotions and just a sense of family which I suppose in a way is what they wanted as it's addressed so many times throughout the franchise mostly from Dom.
I think as to be expected the ending scene was what really broke me down, I was unsure of how they would dedicate it all to Paul but let me just say it was done fantastically, it couldn't have been done any better.
In my opinion it was the perfect goodbye and the ending monologue will stick with me for some time.
All in all I give this movie a solid 5 stars. The raw emotion that you witness and also feel throughout the entire film just shows what this franchise has made and why Paul affected so many people, it's like losing a member of your 'family'.
Go and see this movie I promise you wont regret it.
"I used to say I live my life a quarter mile at a time and I think that's why we were brothers- because you did too. No matter where you are, whether it's a quarter mile away or half way across the world. You'll always be with me... And you'll always be my brother"
