Suzanne Collins is the author of The Hunger Games trilogy. These days she lives in Newton, Connecticut however she grew up in Hartford, Connecticut which is located roughly 40 miles apart. During her youth her family moved several times though the biggest part of the childhood she spent in the eastern parts of USA. Collins started off at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham graduating in 1980 as a Theater Arts major. After that she completed her bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University in 1985, with a double major in theater and telecommunications.
