There is no doubt that traveling will give you lifelong memories. Every day that you travel to a new place, you create new memories. Memories in my opinion is one of the most important things in life. They make your life more meaningful, and they will last forever. The memories never change, they always stay the same. So even though things might change in your life, you can always look back at the memories.
It makes you wise
Traveling makes you wise and a lot smarter. You get to see new things, new cultures and meet new people everyday. This gives you valuable learning. You learn more about how people in other countries live their lives, compared to how you live your life. You’re not just sitting inside a classroom reading a book. You are there yourself and you get to feel it, smell it, hear it and see it with your own eyes. I think that’s the best education you can possibly get. You also become a storyteller and it makes you more interesting. You meet other people, with other stories than you. They share their stories with you, and you share your stories with them. Traveling opens your eyes to see things from different perspective and you get more understanding in other cultures. Things that you take for granted in your life might be really important for someone else. And things they take for granted might be really important in your life.
Traveling can definetly change you a lot! At the beginning of your journey you might be really shy, not outgoing and not very independent. But when you travel you kind of get forced to be more outgoing and independent. You need to push yourself out of your box of comfort and try new things, even though it scares you. Every day you travel, you challenge yourself. In the moment when this happen, it’s really uncomfortable and unknown. But later it will all be worth it! You will become a more outgoing, tough and independent person, which will help you a lot later in life.
Meeting new people
On your journey across the world, you are going to meet lots of new people. Some of these people might also turn out to become lifelong friends. The good thing about meeting other travelers is that you both have something in common. You both obviously love traveling. This gives you the perfect conversation topic, and maybe you can learn new things about traveling from each other. Having friends from all over the world is a really good thing! It connect the people in this world more together and we become less separate. The borderlines might separate us, but traveling don’t. It also creates a good network. If you want to visit another country but don’t have money for hotel, you might be lucky to have one of your international friends offering you a couch to sleep on. International friendships also tend to be the strongest friendships. When you see people every day at home, you might start to take your friendship for granted. But if you have friends on the other side of the world that you barely see, you will not take your time with them for granted.
Explore the world
Of course traveling give you the perfect opportunity to explore this world! You get the chance to see more and learn more about the earth you live on. You may realize that the world is way bigger, and you a lot smaller than you thought. It’s important to get to know the planet you live on. Just like the first day of school, you need to explore the whole school area to make the place less unknown. That same goes with the world. We need to explore the whole place, so it doesn’t feel uknown anymore.
There is no doubt that traveling makes you feel alive. You are free to go and see whatever you want to see. You don’t have a boss hanging over your shoulder, constantly telling you what to do. You are your own boss out in the big world. And you’re the one who decide the destination.
You learn more about yourself
When you travel around the world, you don’t just learn new things about the places you visit. You also learn more about yourself. That’s probably why people say that they need to go out on a journey to find themselves. You experience new things, you taste new things and you try new things. You learn more about what you like and what you don't like. You learn to be more confident and more independent. You also get to meet people from other cultures who have a completely different view on life, that might inspire you. And you learn more about your trust in others.
You only live once
This is the only life you have. This is the only chance you have to explore and see this world. So get up, go out and do the most out of your life. This world have so much beautiful to offer. And it’s only those who travel who gets to see it. You´re not going to see all this stuff at home in your room.
All the time, we hear people say that traveling heals. At first I didn’t understand how that could be possible, like how can a journey to the other side of the globe make my life better and make my problems go away? It might seem a little unbelieveable, but I can tell you that it's actually true. When you travel, you are so focused on everything that happens right know where you are. Your day is filled up with a tight scheduele of all those things you want to experience. You don’t have time to sit down and think about everything that is wrong in your life, because you are too busy doing everything that feels right and good. I don’t mean to say that you should run away from your problems, but you really do get a break from everything that happens at home. Traveling can also make you happy. Every day you wake up, you get a new surprise. You never know what you are going to experience before you are there. The happy feeling you get when you travel, that feeling heals you.
Improve your English
When you go out on a journey across the world, your English will be more used than ever. There are hundreds of different languages in this world, which makes it impossible to understand and speak every single one of them. Fortunately most of us have English as a second or a third language. This means that we still can communicate with each other. When you travel to a place you have never been before, you mostly end up having to ask someone for help or direction. Or you decide to go out on a restaurant and you have to talk with the waiter to order your food. This is something you probably will do every day, which means you get the opportunity to use your English a lot.
