Many people have mixed emotions on tattoos. They're art, they're trashy, they're a sign of expression, they're marking up your body... but I happen to think they are wonderful. Now, I believe this to an extent. I'm not saying go tattoo a pizza on your chest just because it's your favorite comfort food but tattoos that are unique and sentimental hold a special place in my heart. I just love how different they can be and how creative people get when designing one! Watercolor, white ink, red ink, all of them!

Lately I've been thinking about getting one of my own! There's so many possibilities but I want mine to mean something. I don't want to look back in 10 years and regret them. Some of my ideas are pretty basic but sometimes simple is better!

I really want to get a tattoo of my mom's birthday in Roman numerals... I just don't know where I would get it! I like the idea of the side of my arm and I also like the above the elbow spot too.

I would LOVE to have a rose (or maybe another flower?) on my side kind of near/on my ribcage! It's so simple and it's beautiful, it is something that can have many meanings behind it.

Small tattoos (especially on the finger) are something I like a lot. Not sure why... but something about them. I want a tiny, meaningful tattoo maybe on a finger or the inside of my ankle!

Phonetics. A phonetic tattoo of one of these words is a must. Enough said.

Your view on tattoos all depends on your pErSpEcTiVe. Expressing yourself is something I strongly believe in and however you may do that is all up to you. What are your thoughts or ideas on tattoos?? xoxo

Everyone loves surprises and wow did I get the best one this weekend! My boyfriend currently lives in Florida while I am at school in Pennsylvania. We had gotten used to the idea that we would be going weeks and maybe even months without being able to see one another but we've been incredibly lucky. I flew home last minute for my birthday weekend and was able to see all of my friends and family, including him.

Last week he called me to tell me he had been hiding something from me for a few months... of course I started to freak out. But his surprise was that he was coming to visit me! I started to think of places to go and things to do while he was here, but honestly I was just excited to see him sooner than anticipated.

I showed him all around campus and it was cool for him to be able to see where I've been living these past couple of months. It rains a lot in Happy Valley but yesterday was sunny and the temperature wasn't too cold either! We walked downtown to go to this cute little cafe called Saint's and ended up going shopping in a few stores.

We walked by Old Main which is a huge landmark on my school's campus. We decided to be very tourist-y and take pictures in front of it. The leaves all around us were bright yellow, orange, and red.

On our way back we made a pitstop for the one and only Berkey Creamery. This little ice cream shop on campus is very well known and is AMAZING. All products are made fresh daily by the agricultural students!

We went to dinner at this hole in the wall Italian place called Faccia Luna. We watched the football game while eating pasta and pizza (what more could you want?) Sadly he had to go back to Philadelphia that night so we had to part ways after dinner. It wasn't a goodbye though, it was a see you later. I'm going back home for holiday in just 2 weeks so we weren't too sad about it! It was definitely an amazing weekend and I'm so happy he surprised me.

As a lover of jewelry, you can guess I was crazy excited when one of my favorite stores was having a flash 40% off sale this past weekend! Adina's Jewels is one of my all time favorites! The pieces from there are so beautiful and there's a variety that will match anyone's style. I got two necklaces I've been wanting forever (one was even on sale) and a bracelet to match one of the necklaces!

Each necklace and the bracelet came in tiny little black pouches and were placed inside a tiny plastic bag to keep them intact

I definitely recommend any of the products from their site! They have tons of necklaces, chokers, rings, bracelets, even body chains! It is a little pricey but they have so many sales and you get an automatic 30% your first order when you sign up for emails :)

Happy shopping xoxo

As someone who up until the last year could barely apply mascara correctly... the world of makeup has become so exciting! There's so many different brands and products that I never knew even existed. Of my favorite brands Too Faced is definitely a top one on my list! Their products are such nice quality and as far as the price... it isn't too nerve wracking. I recently took advantage of one of their sales to snag a few of my favorite items!
My cute little box was delivered so quick and was set up so adorable inside (I even got some free foundation and glitter glue samples!)
Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy

Someone who has relatively smaller lips, I like finding products that will make them look fuller (without the botox or real injections). This gloss is amazing! It tingles a bit at first but then your lips plump up to the perfect pout and the color is super cute!

Too Faced Deluxe Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

This mascara is my LIFE SAVER. Not only does it make your lashes look dark and thick, it gives them amazing volume! Plus side: it's waterproof. DOUBLE WIN! This will always be my go-to for mascara.

One of the things I love about ordering from Too Faced is that they send free samples with your order! I opted for the glitter glue and a couple foundation shades. I can't wait to try them!

I knew coming into college that it was going to be a major step up from high school. I wouldn't be able to wing an exam after cramming the night before and my workload would definitely increase. But taking 17 credits this semester has completely turned my life upside down. Up until midterms my homework, tests, and assignments had been manageable and relatively easy... that has totally changed. This week alone I have had to try and balance writing a 10 page English essay, revise another English essay from a previous assignment, write an 8 page Biology lab report, study for a Spanish midterm AND study for a Biology midterm! Needless to say, my head is spinning.

On top of all of this I am still trying to find time to do the things I like which seems impossible with how much work I have. I've always hated that professors and teachers seem to bombard everyone with work all at once towards the end of a semester which drives people (especially me) CRAZY. I've been attempting to manage my time and get everything done ahead of time to relieve myself of some stress, but even then... it's overwhelming. I feel like I have so much to do and so little time! I am excited that the end of the semester is coming in just 5 weeks! I'm extremely excited for the next chapter in my life to begin and hopefully beginning with me going back home to Florida. If anyone has any tips to share on alleviating stress please share with me! I love finding new ways to relax and renew myself :)

It has taken years and years of buying, combining, trial and error to find the right products for me. My every day staples are my lifeline and keep my skin looking and feeling amazing! These are the products I've been using the most lately and I absolutely adore them.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

This stuff is magic! It gets rid of acne so fast. All you do is take a Q-Tip or a cotton ball and put a little bit of the product on the problem spot and poof it's gone before you know it! The best part is it doesn't dry out your skin after it does its job.

Gourmand Macaron Rosé / Gourmand Lait de Coco / Otremer Eau de Toilette Vanille

These are my favorite favorite favorite perfumes EVER! I use them every day. I switch between all 3 depending on my mood for that day but they smell so nice and subtle. I don't like perfumes that are too overpowering so these are the best fit.

Tarte Stunner Highlighter

I love highlighter and have so many from many different brands but this one has always been my go-to. It gives such a nice golden glow wherever you apply it and it stays on for hours and hours! It really makes you pop and look like you are a glowing goddess which is never a bad thing.👍🏼

Lush Mint JulIPS lip Scrub

This lip scrub has been a total life saver! My lips have gotten so nice and soft since I started using this. You scrub the dead skin on your lips off and you can even lick off the excess sugars after! It makes them look and feel so great. The minty flavor is amazing too😝

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara / Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascara

These are my favorite mascaras to use. I use Better Than Sex for my top lashes and it makes them look incredible! Lots of volume, they look so thick and pretty. Best Lash Extreme is used for my bottom lashes and it makes them look fuller and spread out. They stay on for a long time without smudging too!

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser

This works very well to fill my pores and make my skin very smooth before I apply concealer and foundation. It looks like my skin was airbrushed on! One of my favorites.👍🏼

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

This facial spray has aloe and rosewater in it and it hydrates your skin so much! I like to keep it in my bag and use it on hot days to refresh my skin and I use it as a setting spray too. It makes it look so good!

There are so many places I want to go in my lifetime but my top destinations would definitely be...

This past weekend it was Parent's Weekend at my University! This means every student has their family and even their friends come into town for a weekend full of activities. It gives the parent's an opportunity to see their kid's life at Penn State. My mom was coming to visit me and we had plans to venture out of good ole Happy Valley. It was supposed to be rainy and freezing, but we got very lucky! The weather ended up being beautiful and more on the warmer side. Saturday morning we woke up super early and went to the brunch in our hotel. After eating college food for months I indulged in pancakes, cereal, eggs, fruit salad and more! I was pretty full by the time we were done. We got on the road early on so we could make the 2 hour drive to Hershey, PA. Yes, the one and only HERSHEY. Just hearing the name is making my mouth water all over again. We went to Chocolate World and spent our day becoming Official Hershey Palateers (meaning we get to be the people who taste test the candy), splurged on some chocolate delicacies, and even created our own candy bars! After leaving Hershey, we made our way over to Lancaster, PA which is known for being the biggest Amish community in the U.S. We did a tour of an Amish house and got to see their unique way of life. They had the cutest little farm and we even got some Rhubarb Jam along with homemade Wildflower Honey! I was super excited. When we finally got back to State College, my mom took me on a Target trip since my snack cabinet was pretty bare. Driving through Pennsylvania with the mountains, the leaves changing, and playing some great music was an amazing way to spend my weekend with my mom. She had to leave early Sunday morning to head back to Florida so we made sure to make the most of Saturday, and we definitely did.
