Carmel By-the-Sea & Big Sur, California CA
As much as I love planning for trips I decided to let go of the planning and join Jenny on her spontaneous trip to the Big Sur. We both weren't really sure what we were going to do or where to explore, but luckily Jenny's friend Natalie who lives in Carmel gave us a "Top 10 Things to do in Carmel." Not only did Natalie's tips help us plan the day, but as well as my host sister Maria who got the opportunity to live in Carmel during her exchange year. So, after we had lunch with Natalie we headed to Point Lobos and hiked the trail. And then after Point Lobos, we then headed to Garrapata State Park and oh my lord the view of the ocean from the park was breath taking. After that, we then drove through HWY 1 and simply appreciated the beautiful Coast of California.
Even though this trip was a one day thing to the Coast, I couldn't have felt more proud of where I live and what our planet provide us with these spectacular places to enjoy! Thank you Natalie and Carmel for the memories!
The Crossroads, Carmel, California CA
While we were walking around the cute shops at The Crossroads outlets we stopped at a smoothie shop and decieded to take a healthy shot. I personally wasn't as enthusiatic as Jenny because I've never been a huge fan of wheatgrass or ginger. So after debating which shot we were going to order we ended up trying the Fifty/Fifty shot that contains orange and wheatgrass and I have to say it wasn;t as bad as we imagined. I could say after drinking the shot I felt a bit healthier hahahah.
Rocky Creek Bridge, Big Sur, California CA
While we were at Rocky Creek Bridge, we were very privileged to see dolphins swim by the area and experience the beautiful scenery the mountain provided. What was even more amazing about this spot was how clear and blue you could see the ocean from above! Swimming was definitely on our mind, but we both knew it was going to be super cold regardless of the day being warm.
Monterey, California CA
After we explored Carmel we then headed to Monterey and had dinner at the coziest yet yummiest pizzeria that Natalie recommended. The place was called Tricycle Pizza and it was so delicious that we even got free cheesecakes because it was their first anniversary in running their buisness!
