Hello! So I think that I must have told you that I workout every single day. I workout a little more than an hour. I would never workout less than that. I mean this works well for me. The only time I would sweat it out for only 40 minutes if I would take an hour of lunch and work out during the time instead of eating. But no, I like it this way.

As I have said before I only work out at home in my living room. I follow videos on youtube. There are all kinds of workout videos on youtube. I am sure that you you want to try it you will find something that suites you.

My workout schedule is quite simple. I do yoga Monday through Wednesday and cardio (that focuses on the butt and thighs) Thursday through Sunday. It is not more complicated than that. But, I also do the plank everyday. the plank is good for overall body strength. I eight minutes of the plank everyday. Two minutes, rest for a few seconds and repeat four times. Try that everyday and you will notice significant changes.

So the other day a colleague of mine said something really interesting. She avlida eating gluten because she's gluten sensitive. Every time she eats gluten her atopic eczema gets worse. What I thought was interesting was that I too do have atopic eczema all over my face. The only thing that work is kortizon ointment. But using that too much is not good for your skin. For a minute there I though that I might be gluten sensitive. I never knew that if you allergic or sensitive towards gluten you could get eczema or raches. You learn something new and interesting everyday. The more I googled gluten allergy the more I don't think that is it. Sure I have a few symptoms that is consistent with gluten allergy. Having only two symptoms the change that I actually have it is very small.

The thing about my eczema is that they are better during the summer when the weather is better and it's warm outside.

So what is gluten? Gluten is a protein that you can find wheat, rhye and barley. When you are allergic to gluten your colon can't process it propperly and eventually you can get malnurished. A few signs of gluten allergy is stomach problems (such as diarrhea, gas and bowel movements), eczema and bilisters in your mouth.

Since I blogged about vitamin C the other day I thought I would write a post about it's buddy iron. Vitamin C and iron are very good together.

The thing about vitamin C and iron is that vitamin C helps your body absorb the iron in your food 10x better than usual. So whenever you are eating anything that has a lot of iron remember that it is good to eat something that also contains a lot of vitamin C. This is especially important if you are eating fruit or vegetables because your body can't absorb the iron in them as good as it can with iron in meat. But certain food (such as coffee, milk and te) can actually make your body absorb less iron. That is something to think about as well.

Good to know that if you have iron deficency you might feel tired and easily annoyed, depressed and cold all of the time even though you're in a hot place (kind of like when you are freezing when you have a fever).

So what can you eat that contains a lot of iron? Well you can eat iron tabletts. But I prefer the natrual way and eating real food that natrually contains a lot of iron. Below I will list my favorite foods and how much of it you need eat of it to get your daily dosage (9mg/ day - women who are fertile should eat 15mg/ day) of iron.

* 85g of dark chocolate (<70%) = 10,12mg
* 130g of chia seeds = 10mg
* 100g of sesame seeds = 15mg
* 200g lentils = 14mg
* 200g dried apricots = 16mg

I have another did you know for you all. So did you know that when you wash your face you should wash it twice? The first time that you wash it you only wash the surface. The second time that you wash it you "deep" clean your face and actually cleanse your pores. So remember that you need to wash your face twice to really clean it.

But (because there is always a but) if you have sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend that you did this. Washing your face too much can actually cause more irritation and breakouts. Know that acne isn't because you have dirty skin, it's because of hormones. That's why you get so much acne during puberty.

Did you now that peppers contain more vitamin C than oranges? 100g of red and yellow peppars contain about 250% vitamin C (RDI) and green peppers contain about 150%. While oranges and lemons only contain 66%. Even kale contain more vitamin C than oranges and lemons. 100g of kale contains 150% vitamin C (RDI). That is crazy and kind of mind blowing to me. Seriously a lot of vegetable contain more than 100% per 100g of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C. I heard this a few months ago at work and before I would never had guessed it! I mean.... lemons for example are so sour so just, I don't know but I just would have guessed that they contain more vitamin C. MIND BLOWN! Hahaha.

Hello

So I love working out everyday. But I don't go to any gym. I workout at home in my livingroom. It's cheap and efficient. This way I can workout whenever it fits me and I don't have to think about the gym being open or not or any machines being taken our not. This way I get the exircise that I want. Plus as I said it's cheap because I don't have to pay for any memebership. Just my regular rent and internet bill.

Working out at home is not for everone. But it really fits me because I have a lot of space in my livingroom. So why would I go anywhere else? In the summer when the wheather is nice I do like to go for a power walk in the woods. Sometimes I borrow my sisters dog because it's nice to have some company.

When I workout I do follow videos on youtube. I have Apple TV so I just use youtube through that and watch it on my TV. My favorite channel is Fitness Blender. They have a bunch of great videos with different exircises. Both for beginners and pros. Their videos vary in length so if you feel like you only have 15 minutes they do have videos that are 15 minutes long. I think that they might have videos that are shorter than that. But they also have videos that are longer than that. For example they have a video with a workout routine that burns 1 000 calories. That's crazy and I am not even going to try it. Plus I think it's a HIIT routine and I don't like HIIT.

I also do a lot of yoga but then I follow this video from a channel called GymRa. They have bunch of different yoga and pilates videos. Also for beginners and people who are a little bit more experienced.

I have always worked out at home. I did try the gym when I moved back from Cali. That was only because I had bought some cool new sports wear from Victoria's Secret and figured that I actually should use them and start working out. Back then working out to me meant going to the gym. I don't think that I'll ever start working out at the gym again. That's just not me. Maybe if I'll find a class that I want to take then maybe. For now my livingroom fits me perfectly.

So I wanted to make this post to tell you guys that you don't have to go to the gym and use fancy equipment to get a killer exircise. You can workout at home (with no equipment) and still sweat it out pretty hard! There are more ways than one to get a good workout.

Hello!

So tonight I want to share the perfect face mask for oily skin. It is very simple and very cheap! Plus what makes it even better is that it only has two ingredients - which are both natural! Awesome right?!

A baking soda face mask is the best thing for a oily and dirty skin. But I do recommend that you skip it if you have sensitive skin because it can sting a little because of the baking soda. What you do is that you mix a little baking soda (4 tsp) with a little water (1 tbsp) to a little paste. Use a cotton pad to put the paste over your face. Let it sit until it thickens and the wash it off with warm water. You will feel the oil run down you face as you wash off the face mask. Quite disgusting but also quite nice because your skin will look renewed!

Happy Easter everyone!

I'm just laying bed right now listening to Taylor Swift. Quite a nice chill evening. Work has been so stressfull this week that this holiday weekend couldn't come at a better time.

So I was having a small argument with a friend earlier. We are going out for lunch tomorrow (but I doubt that anything is going to be open) and she said that she really wants sushi because she is having such a craving for it. So I jokingly asked her if she was pregnant. She told me that you can't have sushi if you're pregnant. So I hit her back with facts because she didn't want to listen to me first. The truth is that you can actually eat sushi while you're pregnant. You just have to make sure that the fish has been frozen first so that the bacteria is dead.

Well. I hope that this settles it. Have a nice evening everyone! Now I am going to go through my apps om Apple TV to see of there are any good movies to watch.

I saw a similar picture like the one below a while back. I started thinking about it this morning and thought that it would be a thing to share with you.

The picture below demonstrates how much density approximately 500 kcal of different types of food will take up in your stomach. Something worth mentioning is that your stomach can stretch up to 4L (= 1,05 gallon). Think of the latter as being full AF.

Think of the stomach holding 500 kcal of fruits and vegetables as when your stomach is streched to its maximum capacity aka 4L.

I really recommend that you read this article from The New York Times on what a 2000 calorie meal looks like (it includes pictures of different meals) - https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/12/22/upshot/what-2000-calories-looks-like. It is VERY interesting article that really makes you think about what you eat. Especially since it has pictures. I mean I am a smart woman, I understand all of these things so when you tell me about it I will be like "I know, I know" like an annoyed teenager. Seeing the pictures makes you understand for real.
