Today was a simple day at home preparing delicious meals for myself and the rest of the family. I must also add that the idea that it is Friday makes the whole day better! I love the weekends. Even though it is summer and we have no school there's always a sudden joy as the long week rolls into the weekend. Anyway, I'm just chilling at home enjoying the last few days we have until school starts. Oh boy... can't wait.

Breakfast today was steal cut oats, 1 banana, blackberries, blueberries, walnuts and soy milk. YUM!

Kale salad for lunch with quinoa, almonds, dates, and avocado dressing.

Dinner was brown rice with beans, corn, peas, and steamed veggies topped with a curry sauce.

Today was spend driving into town to go to the mall for the day. I was in desperate need for some back to school clothes! I can't believe summer is officially coming to an end and school is among us. That's a crazy thought. It feels as if school ended yesterday. We had breakfast in town which was difficult for me because I've recently started going vegan. For lunch we had chipotle which i shared with my dad and he insisted on getting chicken. Still going strong though! We finished the day off with Jamba Juice which is my favorite juice place evaa!

I love movie nights! Especially in this heat. Tonight my friends and I saw "Nerve". On the drive to the theater we witnessed a beautiful sunset. The evening was spent rushing (as usual) to the grocery store for a watermelon sale. Sadly all the melons were sold out. We made it to the theater a few minutes late which was a bummer because we love watching the previews. I mean, who doesn't it has to be the best part of going to the theater. Anyway, "Nerve" was such a good film! Dave Franco was so hot haha! Definitely a new favorite movie of mine!

I love coming to San Diego. Everytime we visit it's a magical one! The beach, the people, and just sunny San Diego in general reminds me of my childhood growing up here. We have never stayed in La Jolla before so it was new and exciting. The hotel we are staying at was okay and was walking distance from the ocean which I loved. Hope to come back soon! <3
