Another amazing day at the seaside...
Whenever I am here, gazing at the waves my mind relaxes and my body feels empowered.
It is like a natural meditation ...

Has it happened to you that people you meet think that they already know you?

Well... It happens to me quite a lot. Lots of people I meet the first time already formed their opinion about me and already judged me on the basis of gossip and their friends' judgement. It used to bother me as I wanted to be accepted and have lots of friends but the older I get it bothers me less and less... Instead in times of lack of genuine people I remind myself what it is really vital in my life and surely it is my family and my passion for healthy tranquil peaceful lifestyle... Obviously I cannot control what is going on around me but I got to the point where I can control what is within me - my responses and my emotions...

When I am angry I acknowledge my feeling and then go for a walk, listen to the music, look at the beauty of nature...

When I am sad and also acknowledge my feeling and I cry, go for a stroll, listen to the music, go for a run...

Whatever feeling comes along I say to myself it is a feeling and after acknowledging it I try to turn it to a happy one and more constructive that gives me power to act in my best interest ...

Maybe assumption is a killer... literally but it surely is not killing me....

While enjoying my time with my kids at the beach I contemplated on the fact that I am slowly heading towards 40 and came to the conclusion that I would like to age slowly and gracefully. I thought to myself that one of the things I can do is to 'preserve' my body naturally... And this idea came to my mind...
'Transform my body into stronger and more defined' by introducing some exercises into my daily routine. I hope you can share my journey of my body transformation and possibly get motivated and inspired yourself.

So this weekend we headed to the Water Adventure Park to begin another year of 'Life Schooling' with a Big Bang. As soon as we arrived and agreed on our designated meeting point my kids 'abandoned' me just to share fun with their friends. As I am not a big fan of sitting and chatting my time away with other parents I decided to chill out by myself. I got myself some chips and some really healthy 'less than tasty' yogurt ice cream. I was prepared just to go for a stroll to observe all the kids have fun. After a few laps around the park my kiddie decided unexpectedly to leave the friends to have some fun with me. So my adventure began...
We went to chillax at the Lazy River first where I sat comfortably in an inflatable ring and made my way around the loop with my child grabbing two double sitter inflatable rings just to build a tall ship for himself. While passing by other parents sitting comfortably behind the fence I managed to splash them a little bit with not much of the reaction on their part... So I just floated away trying to catch up with my 'fast flowing' son on his 'tall ship'. After third lap I was all ready to discover some other attractions. Meantime my high spirited child disappeared mentioning previously he was heading towards paddle boats... So off I went to find him having fun on the lake with his sister.
They paddled their way around the lake looking happy and relaxed. They came to the moor soon after I waved at them. My daughter decided to share the boat with her girlfriend and I shared one with my son. And off we went... and I am not even sure who started that water battle but our two boats were the only ones that were involved in it. Both teams started splashing water at each other and aiming to make the other team soaked. My team got defeated so we promptly paddled towards the shore... By that time I felt quite pumped and forgot that I am actually an adult. It was fun and surely my inner child woke up to fully participate in all the activities for the rest of the day... That day I felt truly alive...

While on holiday our friends decided to stay with us for a few days... As we are both family oriented we focused on child activities ... So one evening we went to Escape Room where I was nominated as a 'adult carer'... Well I was semi-happy about that as I was quite tired after all day of walking and sightseeing around Melbourne and to be honest I was hoping to just sit down and relax. Well it was not given to me... I managed to convince my friend to send the children by themselves just to be called to duty minutes after...our kids needed help...
It turned out that the whole experience was quite enjoyable in spite of the fact I have never played that kind of game... However I was a bit puzzled by the children frantically and seemingly chaotically checking all the items in the room... Opposite to me sitting or standing in the rooms with just my head turning around looking for clues trying to incorporate my logical thinking...
After my friends were gone my kids introduced me to the application games that Escape Room is based on... And after that experience my eyes have opened up as to why the children's behaviour seemed chaotic to me... In the app you simply keep on tapping your finger in the search for clues and it looks like the children transferred that behaviour into the real life experience in Escape Room...
That experience have brought me to the conclusion that to really understand our children's behaviour we need to enter their own world by simply reading the books and playing the games they enjoy...(And of course listening and actually hearing what they have to say)
It may actually narrow the generation gap between us and them...
There is no doubt about it ...their brains are wired differently for that reason...
