"Omg this movie was amazing, I should give the book a chance"
I thought after seeing the hunger games at the movies for the first time.
I wasn't much of a reader and I had only read half the twilight books by then.

This when I was 12.
What was it that caught my interest while watching this story act out on the screen. Was it the sacrifice Katniss made to save Prim from the horrible fate?, was it the romance?, was it that it was totally different from anything I'd seen before? I don't know.
It was the beginning of the ya book to movie adaption era (kind of).
This trilogy started it all for me, I got soo wrapped up in the characters and the story. The books made me feel something so very strong and powerful and they made me cry.
I know that a lot of people can't relate and probably think i am being silly, but for a long time I actually felt that these books had made such an impact on me that no one could feel such a love for them as I did.
I haven't had such a strong reaction for any other book/book series since.

I don't know why I'm sitting here writing about this but I just got this throwback feeling that I haven't had in a long time and I just felt like writing some of it down, I've had writer's block most of this school year but hopefully I'll be back now that it is summer break.

Z xx :)

I'm so sorry that i don't update very often. There's just been so many tests and essay in school that I haven't had time, especially since I don't have the best grades I've had to study even harder. But soon I'll post a book haul and also a February wrap-up :).
See ya! Z xx :)

Z xx :)

I started reading scarlet by Marissa Meyer a few days ago and it's SOO GOOD. I just really enjoy reading it and I don't stress about time. I read cinder (the first book in the series) a while ago and thought that it was boring and not so exiting so I had very low expectations on this book. But it has really surprised me with how good it is. It's a lot better than I thought it would be.
See ya! Z xx :)

It’s me (hehe).

Here’s my (probs shitty) review on the wrath and the dawn by Renée Ahdieh.

Author: Renée Ahdieh

Name: The wrath and the dawn

Published in: 2015

Pages: 395(hardcover edition)

Summary(from amazon.com):

A sumptuous and epically told love story inspired by A Thousand and One Nights

Every dawn brings horror to a different family in a land ruled by a killer. Khalid, the eighteen-year-old Caliph of Khorasan, takes a new bride each night only to have her executed at sunrise. So it is a suspicious surprise when sixteen-year-old Shahrzad volunteers to marry Khalid. But she does so with a clever plan to stay alive and exact revenge on the Caliph for the murder of her best friend and countless other girls. Shazi’s wit and will, indeed, get her through to the dawn that no others have seen, but with a catch . . . she’s falling in love with the very boy who killed her dearest friend.

She discovers that the murderous boy-king is not all that he seems and neither are the deaths of so many girls. Shazi is determined to uncover the reason for the murders and to break the cycle once and for all.

My thoughts:

This book is INCREDIBLE. It contains some action, romance, thrill and pretty much anything you need in a book to forget about your surroundings and to transport to a world completely different from your own. One of the biggest reasons to why you just want to read and not do anything else is because you’re craving to know more about the caliph's intensions and also you get sucked in to this exotic world.

The book is written in 3rdperson. The characters are interesting and they are so complex (in a good way).I bought this book without knowing anything about it and I must say that I absolutely do not regret it.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants some spice in their life and also who wants to forget about their surroundings for a little while.

I give this book:
