For this amazing new-found love I have to thank my bonus-mum. I never thought in my entire life that I would be graffiting on my balcony! When it comes to painting and drawing I really do, suck. And I mean it! If someone would give me a pen and a paper, I'd leave it blank. That's how bad I am at drawing, but when it comes to spraypainting? I found it amusing, cause you can play with whatever you're painting!

My bonus-mum wished for a painting for her birthday this summer, and I couldn't think of anything, until I saw a guy named skechart (on youtube) spraypainting! It looked like he had alot of fun, but also he made it look less diffucult for someone like me, (lacking the painting-gene) to actually paint! I bought a hell of a lot of spraycans of a website named Hilights. I've sprayed some other paintings, and I also have some others in mind. What do you think (if you're out there)?

I love surprising my boyfriend with crazy (but yet) small idéas for us to do around the aparment. Especially when it comes to holidays & decorating! Soo about two months ago I got the idéa of hanging a iron-mesh into the ceiling, to decorate with flowers. He actually agreed (even though he didn't really get the vision I was having) and it was beautiful, for about 3 weeks, until almost every flower died. Read: 5 flowers...

So when christmas started to sneak upon us, I thought: Christmas calendar! The next thing was finding som nice festoon to decorare the mesh with, some lightbulbs (charged on batteries) and the perfect paperbags for the gifts!
Was this an easy task? No, but we did found the festoon and lightbulbs at IKEA but the bags was tougher. I actually found them randomly at LAGERHAUS, a Nordic furnishing chain. They had decorated their own verison of a calendar, so I bought the pre-made kit, but removed everything but the brown paper bags. And the result? I love it. And I think my boyfriend does to, or at least the two slots he's already opened!

Do you (if you're reading) remember in school when the snow started fallin and everything became so cozy in the classrooms? Well, it's the so called "time of the year". It all starts with lighted candles and big warm blankets, but then comes the crafts. The great crafts, that has it's grand finale, wrapping up the year. And for me?

It all starts with the advent calendar. You might not have noticed in my past post, but I'm from Sweden. Meaning that we have a few other traditions then the rest of the world. Including advent candles/calendar. The four sundays leading up to christmas morning (which is celebrated the 24th of december instead of 25th here in Sweden) are called "advent".
Every family has it's own tradition, but the thing that connects us all is the candles. Each sunday you light a candle, and on the first sunday it's only one burning, secondly there were two, and so on. This is a major crafts moment to diy and to be innovative in your doings.
Since today is the first sunday, I'll share mine with you.

Hi everyone (or more no one!)

A short story behind the start of this blog actually goes way back. Me and my mum always used to create crafts and make our own design idéas, or better yet, make improvements of old stuff lying around. Since then I've had a special place in my heart for making and creating, so in the past year I started making even more diy - do it yourself arts, and now I want to share whatever I make and hope more of you (still non-existing readers) start to create yourself!

I should warn you though, I'm a huge talker, which could translate into me, being a huge writer. So some of my post might not have anything to do with crafts. But hopefully you could bypass that.

Until next time
