Secret Santa: pick a date, chose a budget and draw names.

The concept seems simple at first but it can actually become one of the most arduous battles.

Time is ticking. And sure, for those who picked someone they know by heart, finding a gift is an easy task. But what about the rest of us who picked for instance that distant cousin; or that new colleague at the firm; or simply that acquaintance with whom we've never bonded?

Considering the pressure of the situation, I have managed to come with a selection in order to help the Santas in need:

If you follow my instagram account, you will have seen that I just spent some days on a boat in Croatia.

The hours before departing caught me very excited but also a bit in a rush. At the end of the day, I ended up extremely proud of myself when I contemplated the amount of outfits I had been able to stick inside my small hand luggage. Needless to say, I am not the light-packing kind of girl (friends and family will confirm)...

That moment of self-congratulation lasted until I finally arrived to Split's port and realised I actually brought no sunglasses, no phone charger, no camera, no pijama and no sunblock. I guess no matter how hard I try, I will forever be that person who can’t go on a holiday without bringing half of her closet.

So, in honour of my scatterbrainedness, here are some picture of a silky bat sleeved dress: a real favourite of mine for summer nights.

Having lived in Milan for over seven months, I can now proudly tell that I know the city quite well. And, even if I am still discovering new spots, some have already imposed themselves in my day to day life. The city has plenty of vibrating terraces and now that the weather is starting to get hotter I really appreciate drinking a Spritz in open-air aperitivos.

For those who aren't aware, the aperitivo concept represents one of my favorite milanese traditions. It simply means: buy a drink, get plenty of complementary food. This marvelous invention is offered all around the city and I have managed to try a bunch of places already (for research purposes of course)... and if the place has beautiful views it is obviously even more enjoyable

Anyway, here is my top five of Milano's rooftops:

Sky Terrace
One of the most secret rooftops in the city. It is calm and cosy. (picture above)
Hotel Milano Scala, Via dell’Orso, 7 20121 Milan

La Rinascente
Incredible view of the Duomo. Plus, you get to buy some tasteful groceries on your way back.
Piazza del Duomo, last floor, 20121 Milan

Radio Rooftop Bar
This is probably one of the first rooftops I discovered and it has in my opinion the most scenic views.
Via Marco Polo, 1103, 20124 Milan

Ceresio 7
Stunning pool and delightful restaurant. I spent my last 21st birthday here and adored it.
Via Ceresio, 7, 20154 Milan

La Terraza di Via Palestro
This terrace overlooking the park is perfect to take a breather and just chill with some friends.

New Yorkers are obsessed with brunch.

Eggs Benedict, bacon, mimosas and avocado toasts... almost every place I have been to have these dishes on their menus. Manhattan has a lot of offer in terms of restaurants (approximately 10480). Adding this to the fact that most brunch places will make you wait 30 mins before getting a table, the late breakfast experience can seem quite complicated.

Find below my top choices and safe bets :
