How to get most out of a weekend in Copenhagen
Some friends came for a visit this weekend and this is how we spend the perfect weekend exploring some of the best parts of Copenhagen. Good choices if you only are visiting Copenhagen for a weekend!
FRIDAY: Brunch at a local café in the Latin area of Copenhagen and shopping in the best Danish stores (and Zara of course) + a visit at Illum is definitely a must. Ending the night with a home cooked meal catching up on lost time.
SATURDAY: Breakfast at Sankt Peders Bageri, View over Copenhagen from Rundetårn, biking around on the city bikes (by Tivoli, by the lakes and to Papirøen to have lunch) later dinner and drinks at Kødbyen and partying in the center (we went to Zefside and Hive – which is cool chilled places with good music)
SUNDAY: Chill Sunday – walked around the center, coffee in the sun at Café Norden.
PAPIRØEN Copenhagen Street food, super cool place with food from all over the world – with specialties and a very cool environment.
KØDBYEN Inn place with different bars and restaurants – whatever kind of food you like. Very close to hovedbanegården.
ZEFSIDE Bar, always a lot of people, very popular, good music.
HIVE Popular club, nice setting and good drinks – little pricey but worth it.
SANKT PEDERS BAGERI The oldest bakery in Denmark, the best Danish pastry, especially things like cinnamon bun, apple pie, and the Danish Wienerbrød are very good.
CAFÉ NORDEN Café located at the center at Amagertorv at strøget. Nice place to sit outside.
